Ifrit Fight

Like I said in the other thread, they only glow when you take it out.
Do like.

Also, the Bow is absolutely beautiful.

As some are mentioning, I do hope we don't get an overflow of this type of gear, but I don't see how it hurts when its just on the special gear received from bosses. I'd love if any future gear that glows, whether armor or weapons, also only glow when in active mode.

my only complaint about the weapons is the thickness of the Bow and pretty much the entire look of the scepter. the scepter is just ugly lol its just a horn and a blue ball... for some reason the ball is blue.

a lot of the scepters have that ball so i get that part, but why blue? it just looks weird to me.
also, if you notice the staff has a plant growing out of it, i dont know how i feel about that part either.
i actually like the H2H weapon and the sword is not too big at all in my opinion.
i also hope that our next wave of gear is much more alive and colorful like these weapons.

as far the glow goes, id like to see glow only for HQ items for certain items below R50, that way glow is only reserved for certain endgame and specialized gear minimizing oversaturation.

fire can be lots of colors, but ifrit is not.
there can be a few explanations as to why the ball is blue, but none of the other weapons incorporate a second prominent color.

Eh... the weapons look a bit silly in my opinion, but to each their own.

The elaborate style of the weapons. Really similar to every 3D FF titles thats come out aside from XI, maybe XII, and XIII.

oh does he? i didnt notice, again though aesthetically in fashion it would not be called cohesive and a poor choice in color scheme. thats just how my eye sees things i guess.

FFXI was my first reall MMO and the one i played the longest by far, but i never for the life of me could figure out where the design team got its aesthetic.
FFXI overall to this day does not look like a Final Fantasy title to me. FFXI is the most subdued game out of the entire franchise.
according to concept art even the earliest final fantasies incorporated more visual ideas than FFXI.

If I remember correctly blue flames are caused by a fire that's not as hot as an orange flame, usually you see it as a fire is almost burnt out, or at the base of bunsen burners also as that's where the gas is projected from before it's set alight (so it hasn't built to full heat to become orange untill further into the flame), so if we were to look at it in a realistic sense, every time Ifrit breathed fire or used his 'hellfire' skill, there would be blue fire mixed in with the orange fire.

There is also white fire but that is from a flame that is hotter than orange fire, which would look kind of weird (people would mistake it for holy or something ;) )
