Amazing. Another person putting in his input about Lebron in a square Enix forum.
You'd love him on your team. Keep up with the biased remark though
See you at the mediocre end game!

Maybe SE is doing something which they did FFXI. That is, have people focus on being godly in 1 class, where that 1 class is where they truly show off everything they have, by obtaining things which take a hella lot of dedication and time.
I don't see the problem with this.
Some of the things your saying I don't agree with in your past posts, however THIS I will agree with...
I feel as though they throw equipment at you like mad throughout your entire time from lvls 1-49, then suddenly, you have to grind for weeks on end just to get 1 item. Which you know what it is. This DOES create a very boring, and sleep fest mode for end game. I totally agree with that.
If they removed 70% of the equipment from lvls 1-49 from every single quest, you'd see an incentive for people to actually use their gil other than stashing it. You'd see the market stable out where lvl 40 items aren't selling for 300 gil, and if they allowed dungeons to drop random, very rare, but extremely good loot, or equipment, would make end game grinding alot more fun, as you don't know what your about to get.
What people reading this post are failing hardcore to understand, is that its the "knowing whats coming" is whats making it epically boring. It's the thrill of the unknown, and the chance which makes grinding fun. The OP I don't believe is complaining about grinding, he's complaining essentially about how boring SE has made End Game grinding.
::shrug:: Maybe they'll make it better in the coming months when more people are 50.
I too would much rather go into an instance hoping the item I want drops then to earn tokens which after a while will result in me purchasing said item.
There is a feeling of joy when the item you've killed a boss 20 times for finally drops where as when you are earning tokens it's more of a feeling of "just one more run and I get X, 20 more runs until I get Y...". The later makes the game feel much more grindy imo even if they both could take roughly the same amount of time to complete.
What people also do not understand is the tomestones are not supposed to be the primary way to get gear, its just we are missing tiers of content. you are supposed to run things to get gear, and bonus is tomestones which in time add up and you can ensure your getting gear. If this does not become clear when 2.1 is here, then maybe there is something to be said.
the ilv90 stuff out of ilv60 content is clearly supposed to take a while to get the gear. this will not change for a while, not until ilv90 gear isnt best in game.
I love how the bad implementation of endgame in and old game can be still used an an excuse for the bad implementation of endgame in a new game released over a decade later, what a world we live in.
Really what this game needs right now is a semi difficult 8man dungeon that drops i70 gear, some T2 tokens, say 30 or so per boss and like 50 T1 tokens as a step up from AK but before the primals and BC. oratleast different dungeons besides AK...my god its boring.
the AF2 = Allagan set from bahamut's maze...you know it?
Not being able to speedrun AK was the thing that poked holes in the endgame design. You have to put at least 8 hours a week (not counting queue time and wipes...so let's put it closer to 10-12 hours a week) just running 1 dungeon to cap myth.
They just turned FFXIV into a part time job...and I'm not comfortable with that AT ALL.
Im going to laugh so hard when/if crystal tower drops mythology tomes. It is supposed to be the branch before Coils of Bahamut as per yoshida. Has anyone else even noticed the lack of ilvl 80 gear. This gear would serve to be your stand in pieces until ilvl 90. Its a shame they needed to retune it and push it back to 2.1 doubt people would be whining like this had it been in at launch.
of course it is going to still drop mythology tomes, once your geared for tower you likely can get your 300 by clearing tower working on ilv80 gear to help work towards the ilv90 gear for a nice jump on those items. Once your doing tower/coil you shouldnt also be required to do the hours i AK or some other new 4man to get them.
Imagine, if you will, it's 1999. You are grouped in either Lower Guk or Sol B for 10-12 hours a day. Took you roughly 2 weeks to lvl cap.
Imagine, if you will, it's 2000. You are grouped in Karnor's for 18 hours a day because you are too gimp to get your OS key. Took you well over a month at this rate.
Imagine, if you will, it's 2001. You are farming your NToV to get ready Sleepers....2 months if you're lucky.
Imagine, if you will, it's 2002. You are gathering your items for your Ssra key to get the items you need for your Vex Thal key...6 months.
Imagine, if you will, it's 2003. You are stuck in BoT with your guild cause you lack the AAs to down Rallos Zek for your Elemental flag....uhh...lol
Yeah...No such thing as grinding in MMOs.
What I don't understand is why there are countless people below level 50 in this thread, who probably have no idea how the current end-game is, giving responses like "lol you QQ too much" or "it's your fault for rushing to max level!!!1" (which is even funnier because legacy players were already there).
Leave the argument to people who HAS experienced end-game content, will you.
This is true guys. Unless it's you that's forced to grind the same dungeon over and over to get your gear from tomes you have no idea just how many times you'd have to run the same dungeon over and over again. There are no other dungeons in game that drop mythology. We are not counting hm primals as that is not a dungeon..
With that said try to wait for 2.1 in the meantime is our only hope.. roughly 2 months from now though... very bad game design.
People defending the keep runs are hilarious. "All mmo's have some grind!" Yes we know this. That grind in FF 14 was fates from 45-50! Whew...made it through the fate grinds..whats next guys? GRINDING A SINGLE DUNGEON THAT DOESN"T DROP GEAR!!! Oh man, that sounds like so much fun! In fact, when I get home tonight...the firs thing im gonna do is uninstall this bait and switch asian grinder. Have fun kids.
Oh yeah you think this game is grind heavy? Ever played FF 11? Also BRABD NEW GAME they need time to add new content sorry you ignored 3/4 of the games content and went only into your one job. You force yourself into thinking that's all there is to do.
Some of you completely missed the point. No one is complaining about loot drops because they do drop ilv60 gears which is good enough for most content. The problem is AK is the ONLY DUNGEON there is to grind through for mythology stones. There are no other variety. The problem is not grinding for gear the problem is doing the same dungeon over repeatedly. Before yoi were able to speed run to get it over with more quickly. Killing trash mobs is not a challenge and really this whole thing is justa time sink. I can understand why because content is getting cleared to fast. However they could have given more than just 1 dungeon at lv50 to clear in order to get your mythology tomes
If you actually read another post where someone caculated the amount of time needed to get your af1 ser it would be five months of grinding the same dungeon. Also they stated new content is released every 3 months so that leaves another 2-3 months to go of running ak until then. Just try to justify running the same dungeon over and over for 3 months not because the content is enjoyable but because it is the only dungeon to drop mythology. Next time before you try to insult someone atleast try to provide some facts behind your bs
There's always gonna be a grind, but I think it's the developers job to make it fun and interesting. I think SE failed in doing that. We at least need more dungeons, level 50 hardmode versions of the previous dungeons or something to add variety.
I agree with the add more dungeons that give myth and phil because just waiting to enter the dungeon for 20-30 min is rediculous
Got two level 50's. No, because 11 was trash and there's a reason they remade.
To everyone who creates assumptions like this guy at level 49, stop.
Already uninstalled because there's no point grinding this garbage until new content launches.
Lower GCD also, games slow.
I don't think the game is grindy in the old school Ragnarok Online type of grind, your typical go kill monsters for days to level.
It's just that the first gear step is beyond boring.
In fact getting another job up pretty much means fates start to finish ,followedby what 50 AK runs?
I would love it if this game had more content and was more grindy, that I would not hit 50 with in what a week?
By all means make me feel like I actually achieve something when hitting max level.
This on the other hand is just dull simple as that.
The first job is a fun ride, after it I personally don't want to touch any other job.
All the white knights in this thread sicken me.
People don't mind grinding, but no one wants to grind the same thing over and over and over and over and over. There's a huge difference.
What's more fun?
Grinding 10 different dungeons over the course of 24 hours?
or
Grinding the same enemy for 24 hours?
Exactly. We all know the answer. Stop pretending the OP hasn't made a good point.
Hahaha, i love it, game is barely 2-3 weeks old. and all the people who rushed to endgame asap are now crying, As predicted.
You don't know me, so don't try to be an ass with me. And for reference, i'm STILL farming amdapor for my 3° job and no, i'm not bored yet.
Also, i never say it's ok with this, some variety is welcome, but isn't something you can pretend at launch, you're already lucky to have endgame at all.
Why can't we have it at launch? That's just some bs people tell themselves. Why couldn't they at least put in hard mode versions of the 15-49 dungeons for launch and allow us to do those for tomes too? The only reason is money. It's funny that people say this dev team truly cares about the game and worship them but all they've done is the same thing every mmo dev team has done before them. They could have gambled and spent time refining everything while making more content but they didn't. They decided to cash in to the fact that you guys will buy into anything and think "it's okay if there's only 1-2 things to do, the game is new". So freaking stupid. It's the same logic behind, Bethesda Games, Total War games etc. Release a faulty product because people will buy it anyways then go back and fix it later.
Wow. Is this the state of MMOs these days? That we set the bar so LOW that we have to be LUCKY we even have an ENDGAME? You have obviously already set the bar so low by being okay with farming AK 3 times already, one of 2 of those times you probably exploited the speedruns to begin with.
Also, if you believe the current state of the endgame will keep subscribers, your opinion is still not valid.
Wow, people are seriously still bitching about this despite the fact that... Lets see... Seven new pieces of endgame content have already been lined up for 2.1? Harder Mode Primals, a new Primal, two new Dungeons, and the Crystal "This was meant to be here for launch and is the missing link between Amdapor and Coil" Tower raid.
The problem is, mathematically, it's impossible to get all the gear by the time Crystal Tower is released and when it's released that gear you spend ungodly hours grinding for will be obsolete. I've never heard of a game that makes unattainable gear obsolete before it's attainable.
The progression in the game, to my knowledge (maybe they changed it) was always; Relic > Crystal Tower > Brohamut.
Right now, we have Relic content (Primals, Amdapor, etc), and we have Coil (Brohamut). Crystal Tower is meant to fill the gap, and like I said, it was meant to be in for launch. Between two new dungeons and Crystal Tower, there should be plenty of variety in farming Mythology stones. At best, any new gear from Crystal Tower is simply going to make Crafted/Darklight gear obsolete, and that gear really isn't that difficult to obtain in the first place. If Crystal Tower makes AF+1/Allagan obsolete I'll be surprised.
yes, you really have. The main reasons MMO fail in the first monsth is beacuse they have low if any endgame at lanch. Look around and see it from yourself: WoW how much endgame had at launch? Rift? TOR? Aion ? DC universe?
Most of these had some, but few and mostly bugged. Yes, you really have to consider you luck to even have high levle dungeons, 3 primals and an endgame raid. Everything else will come with time.
But i see you like to threat me an cheater, so i don't really have anything reasons to speak to you.
Just to note, i had half of my first 2 jobs already with some darklight, i didn't really spammed all of them
I distinctly remember Yoshida saying Relics (the base ones, not HQ) would be required for Crystal Tower, that puts them before, or equal to Coil. To my knowledge the delay was solely pinned on them making it Duty Finder (which for 24 man content, sort of makes sense), in which case they had to nerf it because, well... Derpy Finder...
Which brings me to my previous post. people who feel the need they need to mad rush endgame and get everything as quickly as possible are now crying for lack of content and exploits of such content while people who took their time never even knew about it, even knowing updates are coming but they figure content needs to come as fast as they need it. it's pretty funny to me cause i told people this exact thing would happen with the people being 50 in a manner of days of games release.
MMOs were NEVER made for best gear to be obtained quickly.
