Occurrence: Throughout the whole day

Occurance 19:00 - 00.00

-Tennessee, USA
-After 3-5 minutes of gameplay
-No reference number as I contacted them via phone.
I did noticed the same effects my ISP does to me when I do torrent, I get DC'd a lot and lagging during in-game time then excessively slow internet for quite some time after exiting FFXIV.
- COMCAST
- Colorado, USA
- Always happens, but since I'm on during Peak hours, it seems to happen around that time.
- I did not bring it up with them, because I know they throttle my internet when I do torrent stuff. So I was hoping maybe SE could contact them and clear this up with them, thank you.
You seem to all have country with shitty policy about internet, sadly ...
I can't believe that much people are been throttling by their ISP, that is unbelievable ... meanwhile their ads channel flood the whole world.
I have massive fast internet that I pay for. It is super fast and I never have had a single problem connecting to ANY game ever (providing the game is in working condition and made by competent folk).
Provider = Time Warner Cable
Reside = NY USA
I can only connect to the JP servers (I assume this is JAPAN right? On the OTHER SIDE OF THE PLANET FROM ME). I have gotten error codes 2002, 90000, 10102, 1017. I have been able to create characters on Cactuar and Midgardsormr. Sometimes I see the NA servers, sometimes I do not. For the last SEVERAL hours whenever I try to log into a NA server I get 1017. Even though I have created characters on the 2 NA servers I have yet to be able to log them into a server.
I assure you I am not being Throttled, I can assure that your game is broken and you should fix it.
I purchased my PHYSICAL copy of the game at a gamestop store this morning 8/31/13 at 10am Eastern Time.

Occurs almost all the time now.
ISP: Time Warner Cable
Country of Residence: Dallas, TX USA
Occurrence: Today, DC'd and then cannot connect to lobby server 2002. I was on all day yesterday and most of today and then it became really laggy which led into a DC. Afterwards, I can't connect to the lobby server 2002 and if it somehow gets pass that, I'm unable to connect to NA/EU worlds.
Update:
Chatted with technical support and I asked if they throttled or blocked FFXIV. I mentioned there have been reports of ISPs recognizing it as P2P software. They said no they don't block and can access all games. However, they didn't mention anything about throttling... Makes me wonder.
ISP: Time Warner Cable
Country of Residence: Dallas, TX: USA
Occurence: This started happening three weeks ago during the beta. I was noticing that I was no longer able to stream other content on twitch.tv because my upload speed was being throttled. It went from 5mbps to .56mbps. They sent a tech out here and he made a call to reset my line saying it was being throttled. Then after 3 weeks, it started happening again two days ago where it was dropped back down to .40 - .56. My download speed was not affected at all and stayed consistent but the upload was always being throttled down. I have a tech out here tomorrow to get everything back up and running again.

Let me first state, I've been playing for 3 weeks now early and have had no lag at all with a lvl 48 character.
The last 24 hours I've experienced what other people are this "lag" out of no where.
My guess is it's something you've done again.
I'll note I haven't had any issues prior to the last 24-48 hours.

As posted elsewhere before, we are investigating issues that might be caused by ISPs classifying FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn as P2P software.
To give us a clearer view on how widespread this issue is, it would be much appreciated if everyone who experienced such issues could post the following information as a reply to this thread:
- Name of ISP
- Country of Residence
- When does the problem occur (always, only during specific times?)
- Reference number from your ISP, if you raised this matter with them
Again, my apologies for the trouble this is causing and thank you for your cooperation!

ISP - COMCAST/XFINITY
Country - USA
Problem occurs - Since launch - always. I beta tested and had no problems, now, I can't log into any of my NA America or JP server characters. The JP Server is error 1017, the NA servers, simply are not showing up in the list.
I have not raised issue yet with Comcast, will check forums before doing so.
FIX THIS!!!!!!!!!!! I have limited time to play due to R/L but when I do play, I want to be able to log in and play with no issues.
I am not sure if this is a sign of throttling. But I've noticed that players and npcs take about 5-10 seconds to load on my screen.

Country : UK
Provider : BT Infinity
Time : Weekends 5:00pm - no idea because I give up
I have run tracert's during times where I can play and times where I cannot and in all cases the same results come back. No drop pings or high response times to the server yet I cannot login and play because in the event that I get on lag starts immediately and I get disconnected.
Right now I cannot even load the server list.
For me this only seems to happen on Weekends but I can see other BT users having problems in the week also.

though come to think of it, i might be mistaken as to what error is the cause of it being precieved as a isp/p2p error
i am getting the 10102/1017 error all day today, even after getting in a que and being kicked out it. if this is not why you are asking this information i apologies for the misunderstanding.
