FINAL FANTASY XIV Hotfixes (April 24, 2019)
■Laid the groundwork for addressing the issue concerning the World Visit System.
Shortly after the introduction of the World Visit System in Patch 4.57, issues were occurring with several Worlds, and we apologize for the inconvenience caused to our players.
These issues were a result of congestion from many World visits occurring during login rushes, which caused high server load on the database server.
Now that we have been able to gather information from past World visit system usage, we can somewhat predict the amount of load caused on the servers, which we will monitor, and plan to control congestion as necessary by taking steps such as limiting the number of visits during peak hours.
We will continue to monitor the situation and put in our full efforts to ensure an enjoyable gaming experience for our players.

FINAL FANTASY XIV Hotfixes (Dec. 25, 2019)
■ The following issue has been addressed.
・Higher chance of matchmaking into the Maelstorm when applying as a party to Frontline.
* Regarding this issue
After investigation, we found that there was an issue occurring due to processing that had not been updated since the first release of Frontline in Patch 2.3. Until now, the process had been matchmaking players according to their Grand Company affiliation first, so had coincidentally been working as intended. However, Patch 5.18 changed this so that players are no longer assigned to Frontline campaigns according to their Grand Company membership, and the removal of this condition was the cause of this issue.
Because this particular process deals with rapid matchmaking, it required detailed investigation and testing.
However, in prioritizing changes for patch 5.18, we focused too heavily on the change in programming which assured that Grand Company affiliation is no longer a main factor in the matchmaking process, and neglected to adequately test other parts of the programming which had not been changed. We apologize for not detecting the issue sooner.
We will look over our current testing flow and endeavor to improve for the future.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but if users find themselves affected by this issue, the game will return to its normal state by waiting for 20 seconds.

- An issue in Ishgardian Restoration where submitting certain items would grant more Skyward Points than expected.
*This issue was due to an omission in the handling of certain denominations for the progress or quality of synthesis. Crafting an item pre-Patch 6.0, with a collectability rating not possible after Patch 6.0, allowed for gaining substantially more Skyward Points than was intended. We apologize, but for those who already submitted their item and received the incorrect amount of points, we will be making a data correction at a later date.
