All I'm going to say is many people have spent more time trying to get into the game and play in beta 4 and EA than they actually spend playing the game.

Haven't been able to log on all day. 10102 since 7 am PDT and more recently it's 1017 with no queue. Pretty uncool that an entire business day of early access came and went and I was unable to log on lol.

Me too, same error...
I'm aware that there is a problem with the Duty Finder thing... But hell, that's a major bug for game startup... My guess is that you should have done a bigger beta phase 4 where you could "really" stress test the server...

Arrive from twelve hours of work and when i think in relax playing I pass my time trying login and error 1017 :(

I am just like alot of people here, if they dont have enough room with just the amount of people in Early Release... I am scared to think how bad the 27th is gonna be. I do hope they get it fixed though cause this game was awesome for what little i have gotten to play in the last 2 days

Unfortunately the solution is horizontal scaling, more efficient code, and actually testing the load you are expecting. They should be able to add servers without taking everything down, how much time was spent rebuilding this game only to give users an equally frustrating experience. I abandoned my legacy char to play with my friends, started over in phase 4 beta on the recommended server, and still can't log in. Out of the times I have been able to play I have gotten in once, probably out of 5 times. Square really needs to hire some engineers that know how to handle this level of scale.

Ok....deep breath.....

I try to log in and sometimes the NA/EU world selections are not present
Other times I try and log in and JP world selections are not present....

But no matter what I do I get the ever present error 1017 and then I have to try all over again.

On a few VERY rare tries I have been in the process of actually logging in after no que and it boots me saying server is full.

I have been doing this dance since 10:45 am PST and have not been able to get in even ONCE.


Seriously Square, you didn't have ANY of these problems during the first 3 phases of beta...a few issues of it during phase 4 and all of a sudden the fist in the face train comes by with you guys as the conductor and we all get screwed.....really???

You guys should by all rights have expected this many people to try and log in and been PREPARED to deal with ANY issues quickly and efficiently.........WTF HAPPENED??!!


You guys need to have these issues fixed before official launch and have a smooth running game or your're gonna lose a mega ton of players....if you haven't already.


Ok .........blood pressure is coming down....but seriously...for the love of god get things going right. We have been waiting, chomping at the bit to play this game....a lot of us since the alpha....we just wanna play.........

So let's keep discussing this. So far from 5pm est to now 8pm est have seen this error now. I understand SE is trying to CC this game atm lol but really? In there offense they have a done great job with the game but for a headstart hmmm, simple it took GW2 2 days to add 6 servers this isnt going to get any better come tuesday, it's your only option SE.

Keep getting error 1017. I've been trying to log on for the last 7 hrs on and off and could never get past the server full error. Just a little disappointing is all. Today was hoping I get to play some on my day off :(

for me i think the most aggrivating part is that it took em 4 to 5 hours to say yup its here again sorry, and we wont hear from them again till maybe midnight if we are lucky

was able to get on about 1:30pm with a que however logged out for dinner and am coming back to "this world id currently full. Please wait until an opening is available and try again" 1017, i much prefer to be put in a que thank you.

Been trying to log in since 19:00 BST (GMT+1) and it's now 01:30 and still unable to get in. That's six and a half hours...!

Y this is getting really old fast. It's time they get their act together and get this fixed. What would really help is a lot more communication with the player's.

Honestly they should give us a couple days to play after launch for free. Early access started Saturday and so far I've played maybe 5 hours total due to all the errors either kicking me out or making it so I can't log in. I'm more than likely sticking with the game through all of this because it has a lot of potential but there are other people that don't share my determination or aren't as stubborn as me and will not be following the game into launch.

Although I guess that would solve the server load issue.

Who Votes for a FFXI type of servers? JP/NA/EU all share the same servers. would cut down on maintenance and how many servers there are. Lets say all JP servers represent this Idea. We'd have base servers plus JP Legacy Servers. FFXI was A LOT more stable and didn't have this many errors.

The NA/EU servers are in Montreal, Canada. The work there is contracted out.
The Japanese servers are in Japan. All of the main guys (that have to do with this game globally and how it's running in Japan).. are in Japan (shocking! I know!) so, naturally, their servers are going to be handled much better.

Well if they are hosting every NA/EU server here ( I'm from Montreal ) That must be hosted by Bell Canada XD. That would explain our problem ! ( Probably not, but since we have so much problem with Bell Internet Service from time to time, wouldnt be surprised either !)

The fail with SE is strong. Now just about at 12 hours of not being able to get in, along with the problems from yesterday = failure of epic proportions for SE.

So SE we gonna be able to EVER play this game we paid for?

Please loosen the reins here. I already got locked out of beta for 30+ hours and now I can't get into the head start my reward for pre ordering your game x 2 copies... I am looking to pay around 25 dollars a month but I can't see doing that if you don't fix these problems. Maybe boot everyone that has been on 20 hours already today... so us that haven't been on can get on for a minute and try to enjoy it.

I know it is asking alot but some sort of counter or timer that would at least give us a heads up on possilbe times that it MIGHT be lessened would be nice. If nothing else make the damn server colors go from green to yellow or something so we know that the problem is still there. It annoys the crude out of me to see that the servers are supposidly "up and running fine" when we all know that is bull.

The apologies aren't cutting it anymore squeenix. I want some results, I want a transfer of the character I leveled on a JP server to my NA server where my friends are. I was forced to create a character there since you cant get anything right in the NA/EU servers. Mog hat to wear at level 1.. great! Because that is all the further we got with this so called "early access". If that doesn't happen, there is going to be a refund request next. Beta Tested this game and gave plenty of feedback to hold off the launch due to the game being riddled with errors. Why have a beta test if you aren't going to listen to the tester feedback? Fail Square.. Fail.

First i had 3102... now it's 1017. I just can't win today!
