code still doesnt work....

ahh this is frustrating...

Just tried my code again as well. Still not working. C'mon SE, at least give us PS3 users some sort of update.

Even their Twitter account has been silent since yesterday

You are right on. This is pretty bogus. But honestly, at this point, after every error number and bad code and waiting on hold to talk to SE and ticket numbers, I'm just glad to be set up to play on something! I'd settle for bootlegging it to a 3rd generation iPod at this point.

I now have 3 emails from SE confirming that I registered my pre-order code, each one giving me a broken key. The code in each of the emails is the same.

Two of my address are from El Segundo, CA and one is from London, but all the codes are the same. The code originally came from the email with the London address.

Now, the PSN is done with maintenance... and my codes still don't work. I sent in a ticket last night, but I'm about to give up hope that customer service will be able to help me before Saturday, due to the sheer amount of people having trouble. I'm happy I'll have the CE, and the game will launch on Tuesday, but I really wanted to play this weekend, when I have more time to devote.

It makes me sad about all these errors with codes. The game is amazing and is going to be tarnished with people's frustration about getting into phase 4 and early access.

I've made this post on the other thread too but I'll post it here too anyways.
I came across this workaround. Has anyone given this a try?
I'm planning to give it a go once I get back home from work.

Ill try this and ill let you know if it works! I redeemed the code ! so im glad that it works, and confirmed that they DID give us EU codes. But hopefully itll be okay once i switch back if not whatever ill just cancel my order and order from PSN

So here's my question: If I do this and it's successful, does that mean that after the official release I can go back to my old PSN account to play or am I stuck playing on the EU account forever????

According to the instructions, you are going back to whatever original account you normally use.
This is running under the assumption that the account binding process happens when you launch the client, not when you put in the redemption code and download it.
Basically IF this works, you will be able to use your NA account.

Im in the middle of trying this now. The code work but ill see if i can bind it to my NA account when i log in and see what happens

Well, I'd rather wait and see if it works for other people first. Don't want to mess up anything. I'll take missing early release over screwing up my accounts.
On a side note: Square Enix finally updated their twitter. But w/ info on the code registration site. Are they even aware that we are having these 12 digit code problems???

Me too. Is it safer than using a cancelled preorder code? I have one when I pre-ordered the Standard Edition via Amazon but cancelled it when CE became available. Made a new NA SE account to test it. Redeemed successfully. Got a new 12-digit code which DID not work on the EU PSN, which makes me think it's finally an NA account. What do you guys think? I wanna be able to play on EA but if it'll mess up my account I'd rather miss it, so I'm hesitant to try either.

im downloading the client and it didnt mess up for me yet haha. @50% will let you guys know how it works out.

You need to renter the code when you choose ps3 version it is supposed to give you a code for the ps3

My preorder code went through, got my psn 12 digit code. It was accepted, received my email from Square Enix. Was a little worried because it was from <noreply@xmail.eu.square-enix.com>. Just logged onto my PS3, launcher updated. I signed in, and accepted the end-user agreement. And everything is ready for EA.

Error 3 is caused by a regional glitch you need to go into settings and change the region to US/Uk (whatever region you are in)... Then you should be able to use the code... These questions were all asked in the other forum with peoples codes not working...

download still going good for me about 70% done

I think i idled and got signed out of my PSN so i had to restart :( haha had to turn off the media server or itll do that to me i just forgot.

I wonder if they ever got around to emailing people to notify them that it was time to go to the website to input your preorder code...

Na ps3 user that got my code from<noreply@xmail.eu.square-enix.com> I tried my code did not work. So I went into account management I had my Na members and SE id since 2009. Really don't know why this went so wrong. I ordered from NA SE store in May so I could get the EA bonuses CE physical copy... Yet my friends who got it on Psn like a day ago are all set to go for EA. I must be really frustrated if I'm missing Playonline crazy account setup. I hope they pull off a Hail Mary by saturday for all of us that got the wrong code.

When you finish go to your main account and go to service list and check if it says Early Access and stuff then let me know :) im at 20% and its prety slow on wireless >.<
