When will Legacy/1.0 characters be able to make use of character creation to change their character's appearance? There has been some confusion on when this will take place. I've heard Phase 4, Early Access, and Launch. Can we can a specific answer as to when it will be?

will there be "normal" mounts as big wolves , horses , camels and such? or will be there only ffs creatures?

The jobs able to equip the darklight gear I obtained in 1.0 has changed. Will we be able to exchange those with the cracked materia NPC also?

Right now, we can only send mail to people who are in our friendslist and they will have to be online in order to add that friend to your friendslist. I would like to be able to send items to another one of my characters on the same account i'm playing with. Will we be able to do so in the near future, perhaps by being able to send you mail any of the characters created in the same world with the same account or maybe by using the retainers you own?

Right now, it's been confirmed that the Arcanist will have 2 different Carbuncles (Emerald and Topaz), the Scholar will have 2 different Fairies (healing and buffing/dps) and the Summoner will have 3 different Egi's (Ifrit, Titan and Garuda).

Will we be seeing more types of Carbuncles and Fairies to fit additional/specific roles, but also more Egi's like Ramuh and Leviathan through content updates?

Can you give us a little more info about the introdution of Lightning through the F.A.T.E system of A Realm Reborn, perhaps through a little preview?

Can we expect more of these type of Collaborations with other numbered Final Fantasy Installments in the future, for instance with Noctis Lucis Caelum from Final Fantasy XV?

Will you be attending the Gamescom in August this year and will you have something special in store for the players who will be visiting the Square Enix / A Realm Reborn booth?

You once talked about that Relic weapons will be upgrade-able with future content updates / Expansion Packs, so that the Relic weapons will not lose their status and value as Final Fantasy XIV evolves through time and updates.

Do you still plan to implement this feature and can you give us an example how we would/could be able to upgrade the Relic weapons?

Is it possible to release more Collector's Editions of the game worldwide?

Q: In 1.0 we used Anima to teleport around the world. Will it be re-implemented in ARR? If not, could you explain your reasoning for switching it to gil? Would it not be better to implement a CD for Teleport like with Return or use another resource like crystals?

One of my biggest concerns with the game is that, aside from gear, stats, and personal skill, one person playing as a specific class/job will be exactly the same as any other person playing the same class/job. Do you have any plans to add in some sort of build system or something along the lines of FF11's meriting system, in which players can customize each class/job to their own playing styles?

Example: a tanky Warrior that is good at generating enmity vs. a "glass cannon" damage-dealer Warrior that can kill things quickly but can also die quickly, etc.

Another concern of mine is that, aside from leveling arcanist/summoner/scholar, many players from 1.0 who have all of their classes/jobs at max level will have no need for experience points. Even if the level cap is raised, this will eventually continue to become a problem once players hit the new level cap. Do you have any plans to implement some sort of system to allow max-level players to utilize exp in some way so that it isn't wasted, and encourage progress towards something else, such as my aforementioned meriting system idea?

One of my friends who used to play 1.0 was reluctant to come back to ARR because there was no free use of the level sync system like there was in FF11, and he was afraid that me and my other friends would not be able to play the game with him as much together due to our differences in level and the different content associated with those levels. Do you have any plans on freely allowing the use of level sync outside of FATE's and dungeons for people who wish to form parties involving farming monster camps for experience, spiritbinding gear, or again, possibly for earning merit points?

Do you have any plans to implement materia types that do not involve stat-stacking, and actually provide unique abilities?

Examples:

- 10% chance on critical hits to inflict Poison on an enemy
- elemental materia that makes your physical attacks inflict fire damage, etc.
- ability to cast Comet or other moves

What was the deal in putting stat cap limits on gear when affixing materia? Some of my friends said that certain gear/materia combinations wouldn't provide any boosts at all... :confused: This seems very unfair to those who have invested a lot of their time and money into multi-meld gear based on maxing out specific stats.

Here is something I've mentioned in these threads multiple times, but still have not gotten a straight answer on:

In 1.0, aside from hamlet defense, there was no reason for Disciples of the Hand or Land to form parties and cooperate together, and I always thought that was a big area for potential. I have heard mentions of possible things such as large-scale crafts or scavenger hunts, but have yet to see anything of this nature be mentioned lately.

My question is, what new content do you have planned that involves DotH's and DotL's (but NOT necessarily DoW's or DoM's) working together in parties, and when can we expect to see footage of it?

There has also been mention of PVP armor sets and a "Gold Saucer" area, which I assume will have various mini-games. What types of PVP modes and/or mini-games can we expect to see, and what can you show us so far?

Do you have plans to allow players to use other mounts (such as goobbues and coeurls) as battle companions and be able to equip them with barding?

Also, if we have multiple mounts, is it possible for us to ride one while having the other fight things for us, or possibly even have mounted combat?

What was your reasoning behind only allowing players to be in just one free company? It seems quite restrictive and pointless to prevent players from helping out multiple "guilds" if they want to.

One of my biggest complaints in 1.0 was the fact that a lot of its content revolved around HAVING to have a full party of 8 people. Any more, and people had to sit out unless you have MULTIPLES of 8; any less, and you couldn't do the content at all. While the Duty Finder and 4-player dungeons/instances are a step in the right direction, I think it would be awesome to allow such areas to scale in difficulty depending on how many people are in your party, as not everyone is comfortable playing in "pick-up groups," or may not have enough friends online at the time to help them. I also think that, given this opportunity, it would be cool to allow skilled players to try to solo dungeons.

My question is, would it be possible to allow some of these strict party limits to be lifted at some point, and allow parties of any size to challenge dungeons, primals, etc.?

A free Company is made up of multiple guilds.

One feature that I liked from other MMORPG's was being able to hover my mouse over an item, see a tooltip comparing that item's stats to what I have equipped, and that followed the mouse instead of being stuck at a specific location on my UI. I also liked being able to "link" an item in chat to show other people. Are there any plans to implement these features?

A lot of players have been dissatisfied with the current map UI functionality. Do you have any plans to adjust this and implement features such as:

- colored maps that more accurately show the terrain and topography instead of the old-school "parchment" look
- show each individual map simultaneously on the world map so players can see how they connect
- show both "halves" of each town simultaneously
- grey out aetheryte nodes that you have not attuned to yet, then make them blue when you have accessed them
- allow for direct teleportation to an aetheryte by clicking it on the map
- allow for drawing, pinging locations, setting personal markers/notes, etc. and allow party members to see these as well

Why is MRD/WAR designated as a tank class and can't be a damage class. I want to play MRD/WAR to be a damage dealer not a tank.

Levelling gathering and crafting classes is just as much of a grind as levelling any combat class, repeating the same thing ad nauseum (I love them but as someone who got level 50 in all of them and the luminary tools, even I've gotta say there were times...). When will gathering and crafting classes be able to quest heavily (and do FATE's) to level up, just like the combative classes? One guild quest per class every 5 levels (and no FATE's at all) aimed at your gathering/crafting class, compared to a complete quest/FATE grind for the combative classes, seems like way too big a gap...

Note: Levequests are very different things without storylines and real characters to break the repetition of the grind. I'm not talking about them, just real (even if minor) quest and FATE grinding.

I may be misinformed a bit on this one...

I heard somewhere that free company housing would be implemented before individual player housing, I'm guessing due to time and/or resource restraints. Is this true, and if so, when can we expect to see individual player housing? This was one new aspect of ARR I was really looking forward to playing around with. My apologies if this was already cleared up earlier.

When will you release Thief?

Will there be a Samurai job and a Ninja job anytime soon?

Will we have Coerthas And Mor Dhona in Phase 4?

Will we be able to do all quests in the main storyline in phase 4?

Okay, i broke down and couldn't resist but can we have blood in PvP, default option on "off" though?

Will level sync be allowed to be activated freely (not just automatically, as in the case of instanced dungeons and FATEs).

My husband and I do all our quests together, and will be playing through all the new quests on our 1.0 characters. I have some level 1 classes I've never played to choose from, but he does not have any left (each class has been leveled somewhat). Will we be able to freely activate level sync so that we can play together and I can catch up to him without a penalty while questing, doing leves, and other leveling content?

When will the team come to a decision about officially designating one or more roleplay servers?

There seems to be a demand for one legacy and one non-legacy roleplay server. Will there be one of each?

Also, as the RP community chose Balmung back in 1.0 as the unofficial roleplay server, will Balmung now be designated the official legacy RP server? It would cause the least amount of upheaval.

Please re-visit the way cnj/whm stands for battle. The "stance" looks/feels, awkward, rigged, stiff, not at all compelling as tharm/blm stance. cnj/whm looks like a mannequin standing up holding weapon. looks weird please look into it.
