An Apology
None necessary! It's not like we've been inundated with info over the last month, though that's surely about to change... :)
I hope things are looking up for you in RL. Looking forward to you getting back into the meat and popotos (not *my* meat and popotos, understand!) :)
Thank you Mjollnir, that means a lot to me. Also, yay! my mini catch phrase seems to have stuck!

what editing software are you using to track the audio?
Your background music track is way too loud, it drowns out the dialogue, it makes it hard to follow.
keep up the good work!
I'm using Camtasia because it's free. If there is a better free editing software i'd love to have it :)
I've only experience with adobe premiere. But there are open source options that look pretty powerful.
lightworks: http://www.lwks.com/ for example.
It's just a matter of how you control the multi-track audio. My opinion background music should be just that, in the background. Barely noticeable, and definitely non-interfering with the dialogue. Any software that deals with multi-tracking should have independent audio controls for each track. Adjust the levels.
Adobe offers a free full feature 30 day trial of any of their software packages. Check out Premiere. Just to see how powerful the tool is. It's very expensive to buy($500-800) but gives you an idea of what to look for in other video/audio editing suites.
Check out entry level video software like sony's Movie studio series (they also offer trial versions). Entry level software starts around $50.00 but just from reading around the interwebs the Movie Studio Platinum 12 is a pretty comprehensive package and retails for $130.00
It might seem a bit pricey but might be worth the money in the long run especially if you're going to continue this series post release, or team up with other community members to create ongoing videos. Or just as a hobby.
I hope i'm not coming off as over critical, I think you are doing a fantastic service for the XIV community, and hope you continue to do so.

Maint here prevented me from posting the link here before heading off to work.
So... looking for various players from the Beta test to come onto the show to give their thoughts on things so far. Post here if you are interested :D
Damn wish I could, but thanks to the policy of weekend testing at the moment and it being summer, I'm duty-bound to spend my time doing stuff outside with my family - I managed to get about 100 yalms outside Limsa last weekend in the couple of hours I got to play!
Be interesting to hear from everyone else though. :)
Very nice~! A few people in my LS are thinking of doing this, but it would be a 2-3 time a month 30 min-hour long thing! Good luck I'll be keeping an eye on this :D
Anytime you and your shell would like to pop on for a talk, let me know!
getting a bit swamped IRL. should have an Ep out tomorrow though.
I Remember a short series
big nel, you are the best!
/comfort
d'aww thanks! I have at least 1 more part to "I remember" but I'm hoping to squeeze a little more out of it.
I Remember Part Three
I Remember part four.
I Remember Part Five
LS member linked me. I'm in love with these stories. So amazing.
Are you guys starting back up on Balmung still?
Indeed we are ^^
The "I remember" series was an excellent idea. Great work on both concept and execution.
Thank you very much. It took a bit of time to get it started but I'm glad it's getting great feedback.
I Remember Part Six
I Remember Part 7
I Remember Part 8 featuring Tamtu from XI's "He Says, She Says"
Ah, nostalgia. It was good to hear Tamtu reminiscing. I actually was on his show once. Good times.
hehe hope we get all get back to our lives in game soon...
Tamtu is cool, I remember him from Limit Break Radio. I felt like FFXiV was like FFXi in HD!
On another note:
_____I personally remember the game being "hard" because it was time consuming while trying to craft and it took a long, long time to understand the mechanics of it and execute.
I also remember the lights on the macro bar! I remember no matter how tedious and hard they made the game, I would look up and find resources on-line which explains every crack and cranny of a already "broken" game.
_____There's no doubt that this MMORPG tried to separate itself from the standard but its like no other, hate it or love it, the community still wins because they were fighting for this game to survive. "Plan A" failed and maybe a plan B" went down with it but if there was a "plan C"... I think it was all to strengthen the bond of the community and make A Realm Reborn a big hit.
SE has probably thought of this- to tear down the old and rebuild it like in Final Fantasy VI. The world might have suffered destruction but the story doesn't end. Way to go SE, opening up a can-of-nostalgia on us once again! XD
Gethyn Skylark of Balmung. I got your message to make a I remember, but you have replies blocked on your youtube account. If you have skype, please add me
