Im not here enough time to tell you all that happened to me but compared to your life, maybe yours was a sniffle compared to mine Mikoto_qc. I was born and the three officials took over what usually happens to normal life. right of course right

Except that neither "you", "your" or "you all" means the same thing as "you're". I think you're mistaking it for "ya'll"? Hence you still misuse the words.

Oh god, I thought this topic died long ago..

There we go again with the whole "we are being limitated/controlled/manipulated"-stuff.
To have a working society limitations are NEEDED, humans can't live together without having basic rules, otherwise everyone would hurt, kill and steal from others for their own gain.
So mikoto_qc, Bastok is right concerning that. Even if you don't care how others see you, you are still living according to the rules you were raised with, the rules society as a whole has.
(There is a very tiny chance you actually are a mass murderer and only live with money you get during your annual bank hold-up, but..I'm just gonna take a wild guess and say that's not the case and you are a law-abiding citizen.)

But..something I never understood about this topic is...where is the fantasy world?
We've been talking about the real world on 14 pages, but the thread title is real world vs. fantasy world, so..what about the fantasy world? What kind of fantasy world did Bastok mean? Eorzea (since this is the FFXIV forum)? The world inside the TV (because Bastok's been talking about the TV for ages)? Stuff my mind dreams up whenever I'm pissed with how things go in the real world?

That is Fantasy World. YOur mind cannot associate with the diasasters the real-world has to face and you think Paradox. However without the three officails in your life. Before you were born and knew. YOu lived just fine and had control of your life

There should be Rules on what do in a Fantasy World. First we must analyze The Real World.

You have a job if you are a Man/Woman at age 19+ You must work daily to achieve your goals and what you must do for those days. If you are smart you are going to a daily job that allows you to do the things you want to do with someone or friends. At the end of the day or during the day you hope to have lunch or talk with the boss or friends at work and achieve more goals and reputation. When you are ready to go home. The same thing applies you go home to hope to talk to someone about more things and hopefully to have fun in something else at home. You often feel lost in movies or TV because you are constantly watching programs in that you hope to do something like that one day or you feel you need to be that person in TV or movies that you see. You have no real conversations with anybody as you hope to express or feel what concerns you and you hope that it concerns others.

If you are a Woman, you are constantly preparing for other things and other days. you dont look at the days as one/day at a time more like one week at at time. So, you have no time for just days. You are constantly planning ahead and hoping that one day it will pay off. You sit in front of the TV 8+ hours a day hoping realizing, that one day the programs will influence you and you will make a decision, one day to realize you dont like your life. You hope that everything will fall into your lap and you will live this FAntasy way of living that is broadcasted on the TV, or movies. That life doesn't exist and prince charming doesn't exist. However, you still think that one day it will all change and you will do anything to get to it. No matter who you hurt. You will have this life. You will put a mask on and pretend to enjoy your life and you will be in misery for the most part until you are unsatisfied with the outcome of the Real world and you fall into Alcohol, Drugs, Sex, Money. In your life there is at least one you will fall into. The Real World has your life that evolves around this and it is a famous pattern.
The Real World is intended for you not to like your life and to view others and TV, Movies, Events to better your life and to see that your way of life is not working. If you dont believe me how many Seminars have you been too. How many speakers do you know? How many religious books do you own? YOur mind must be exercised, but how can it you let it watch and dream all day long on Fantasy. Wondering about fantasy, reading about Fantasy. Striving for fantasy. Love books, Novels Day-time tv
DRamas, soap Operas, Game shows, real life situations, goverment, you want to be involved or you will be considered NOTHING. Wrong, wrong, wrong, The way you live is right. The way you feel is right. As you were born their was only one way to feel and live by faith. You were born and by faith you lived. Their was no choice. When the Real World entered your mind and you understood the language(s) then you made decisions and then you yourself made the right choice all the time. The limitations were told to you by your parents, teachers, goverment officials.

By these three, you feel you are obligated to do the right thing. You discover what is right and what is wrong by your mind and the emotions of others. How big is this World? and what do I have to do to understand it? Exactly....

Now if your a guy you feel lonely all the time. YOu hope that your voice and actions are those that are imitated by someone famous. You love thinking of Women, money and Sex all day long as you hope to involve your life around this. You feel women understand you and you hope to achieve the goals daily. You like talking bad about anything and hope that someone will understand you. You are Greedy and you want the World at your feet one day for Power. You ofthen think of Men of Great Power and you fantasy yourself in those positions. You dont feel its a bad thing Money, Power, Glory, and so you watch Tv that glorifies all of your decisions. Most Guys on TV and movies and in Real-life act as you do. So you must follow the same pattern or you will be a outcast. You feel you will lose everthing if you dont follow the same pattern as most guys. so you change your language, act, talking, personality to fit the pattern. Deep down your really lost, deep down your crying for FANTASY......

Now that I have covered the Real-World What is Fantasy World. LImitations? what can you do? What do you want to do? Is there a Three Officials telling you what to do? what level can you achieve? Can you make the TV, Movies, in what you see real here? what is the right Way? Are you dreaming, no this is Fantasy World? So you can be yourself here. What is the right way to live here? What is the right way to play? who is the Leader? whats the Law?

Make a list of all the things you want to do in real-life that you strive for and apply them to the Fantasy World. Guess what they come true. That is why you feel you dont understand Fantasy Worlds. They are what you strive for what you live for? Everything comes true here. so make your dreams come true.

Oh boy...

Now that I have calmed down (give or take a month), I do not plan on harassing you. Though my friend is at the moment trying to keep me at bay from this topic, I read this and I had to do some thinking. Yes, this is bringing it once again onto myself, and I don't mind at this current moment because I am over certain matters (at least temporarily), and I know how to bite now. I do not plan on picking a fight, but I do want to say that is a very horrible view of life. Elreed was correct. It's very pessimistic, and it's sexist. In fact, a lot of what you have said does not apply to everyone. If you, as an adult, are still desiring to be like the "fantasy" people you spend 8+ hours a day watching, then you haven't matured.

You can achieve in life, and you don't have to trap yourself. I, myself, do not work a standard "job," and I refuse to (I freelance and go to graduate school). Does it make me stupid that I do not go to "work" and speak with a boss in hopes of gaining a better reputation?

No. Not at all. In life, there is always an option. I feel that I am a prime example of that. I went through more hell than the average young adult, but I never fell into drugs, alcohol or any of that crap. I don't desire escapism, but I do play XIV (did) for the fact that I enjoy the game. I enjoy being around the friends that I cannot see locally (even though I managed to get some of my local friends playing). I don't even watch TV. To me, the key to happiness is having the goal of simply being happy. Money doesn't solve pain, and neither does living in a fantasy person's shoes. If you want to change your life, it's damn well possible with effort. Real world isn't as bad as I or anyone else make it out to be. If something is going wrong, I do what I can to dispatch that.

Do yourself a favor and turn off the TV. You'll learn more about yourself that way.

Also, as a woman, I live day-to-day now. It's the best way to live rather than worry for a future that may never happen. Generalizing is very unhealthy.
