Dear god, a leak. This is vry bad, now they may change the jobs that they release at 2.0.

Look at what the producers did in Mass Effect 3 when people leaked the ending, they changed it.

wasnt it just the big primes like ifrit, garuda etc. for being "one time" use only?

btw. the weapon of an arcanist seems to be a gemstone (looking at the text description).. and in the german class describtion they speak about books (writings with numerous symbols)^

The weapon, sounds moreso of the grimoire/tome, so think of it as a Scholar type of thing I imagine. We'll be calling magic out of shapes/runes drawn onto the pages.

The gemstone mentioned was for calling forth Carbuncle, so maybe they can get other familiars with new gemstones over time.

I can totally see this for the Summoner's weapon, fighting stance.

In none hostile stance, your Summoner carries a bag of gemstones on his/her side.

While in combat the Summoner grabs a certain 'stone' of the primal he/she is going to summon and the stone will float above the Summoner's palm, channeling his energy throughout the battle with concentration.

Since they've been making it a thing to have moving weapons and such, I could see the Arcanist having the book in their hand, using the other to 'write' symbols with a finger, while casting. Going from page to target in a gesture.

SMN would still have the book, as part of the classes signature weapon, but gemstones rotating around their head. A new stone everytime a new Primal or whatever is added to the list of to-be summonable creatures. It'd be purdy.

With the idea I was going through, your summons would be stronger depending on the quality / cut of the gemstone you have and the quality of your bag container. /shrugs

I just really love Summoners so I always think of different ways.

Like you said, a Tome would be really cool as it would be held in the character's left hand and the right hand would write magical symbols in the air as magic sprouts from his/her finger tip.

Sadly ppl tried this on youtube and it still didnt work. Fair Use or not if they say "no" there's nothing you can do. Their lawyers are a billion times more powerful than your lawyers, and they will certainly win in court. It is what it is lol. They have every right to control their material, but in practical terms they can't really exercise it. There's a reason music/dvd/game piracy is alive and kicking after so many threats, lawsuits, etc. The internet is truly a beast that cannot be controlled, no matter how powerful any company may be. There are too many ppl, and data spreads far too fast, to even begin to plug it up. Too many holes, can't plug them all, which is why SE clearly gave up.

the thing about you tube is that youtube would actually profit of youtube traffic, because even if you put your weeding video with idk a sugarray song (lol..oooh 90s...) the visit to your video generated a revenue with adverts and traffic so yeah there is a small commercial use.

it comes down then to how much money i have to fight the claim.. if i had more money than SE.. then i could fight for fair use.. unfortunaly i dont.. and i wouldnt fight SE anyways cause i love FF series. im just telling the dude that the SS do fall under the criteria of fair use.

At this point, Yoshida needs to tell his guys to release the information as it was, screenshots and all, a special "gift" after GC's conclusion to further propel people's curiousity for whats in store in the game to come. The playerbase has been crying over a pet and SMN type of class for months, obviously they have included both, a familiar and a summoner class/job. Rather than trying to stifle the information, be forthcoming, give the community something to nibble on while we wait for the annivesary thing on the first, then TGS later that month. Even if this was part of the thing Yoshida wanted to release at the annivesary, I'm sure he can come out with something else, should always have a contigency in place anyways.

Making a bajillion threads all at once will just get the whole forum shut down. It is OK to spoil the ending of harry potter because it is plagiarized literary garbage for preteens, but let SE do as they will for this, Yoshi-P has done so much for us, can we not just let this alone?

No.

What's done is done. We can't just turn our heads and pretend we didn't see it for the sake of a corporation. They just made a mistake and revealed information too early and they have to deal with that. Yoshi-p has done so much for us, because it's his job to make this game make us happy, and I personally think he's doing very well and deserves my money.

They'll probably just re announce it down the line like nothing happened, but we'll already know. The overall damage by this is minimal at worst.
