7.2 "formula" for Savage needs to CHANGE

Stares in 7.35 and right before the upcoming Live Letter.
I'm tired, brothers and sisters. I bet they won't make any changes to this stale 'Savage unlock' formula, even with the 8.x release over a year from now.
What's the point of odd patches if they unlock the current Savage tier just a month before the new one? It doesn't make any sense.
You can easily get augmented crafted gear now, a weapon from the EX Trial, or from the new Deep Dungeon, so you have alternate ways to farm almost BiS gear — but you're still time-gated by the weekly tomestone cap and raid lockouts if you want to get proper BiS. Good luck with that if you're starting from M5S and trying to prog all the way up to M8S and clear it right before the new Savage tier drops.
Even worse is the fact that none of your friends or other players can help you, because if they've already cleared this week, you're punished with reduced drops for completing the duty. And even if you manage to clear the whole tier but only get books, you'll still need at least eight weeks to get your “BiS” piece of gear.
I'm exhausted. I have no hope that anything will change at this point.

Why in gods name would you ever farm previous raid tiers to work your way up the item level ladder....?

Maduin is one of THE most dead servers and I can still casually squeeze out several millions of gil a day just farming raw materials for crafting. So "some people can't afford crafted gear" is not a valid excuse at all with the games current economy.
