Traditionally, Gladiators would fight with little or no armor. Have you seen the men wear it? No? They have about the same amount if not less than the females, I would hardly say it was objectifying "Females"... I find that you, thinking a body to be so disgusting, are more perverse then what you claim the development team is. Good thing it's called Final FANTASY. It doesn't have to realisticly "protect you in battle" or be politically correct.

lol no really, the armors are literally bikini-cut with extra metal/cloth for flair. There's more skin on your standard bikini than on either of these costumes because they don't come with anything extra. In fact, the bikini costumes we have ingame are more revealing than these coliseum armors >_>

I just don't get it, unless the lingerie style of the mage armor is making ppl pop boners or something.

If this was some super-stat armor that would be replacing AF gear or something, I would be complaining loudly. If it was sexist by only being skimpy on females, I would also be complaining loudly. However, neither of those are the case, so I don't see a problem here.

Besides, this is just fun "optional" armor and the majority of armor is nowhere near as revealing. I really like how they made it Coliseum gear so it makes more sense. It's like . . . the Eorzean equivalent of professional wrestling costumes, or something. xD

I would like to point out the defense rating on these is as scandalously low as the cut of that loincloth. I think SE needs to get back to its JRPG roots by increasing the DEF to 200 or more.

Seriously? Get over it. The players asked for more provocative gear and they delivered. It is nothing more than a bathing suit so why complain about it? If you don't like it don't wear it.

You are seriously thinking about not resubscribing because of this? I would say don't let the door hit you on your way out but I really hope it does, twice actually.

Btw, the defense rating on the coliseum gear is pretty low.

I'd like to say that I never asked for this gear. Please do not put me in with the majority of people who wished to look very impractical during battle. I preferred looking like I was playing in a high fantasy/technological world, not a porno.

I really don't care and I wear this shit all the time, I just want to complain because everyone else is doing so.

I just hope the devs don't take this person as a spokesmen for all of us because i personally don't find anything wrong with a few "Vanity" armors which is what that is pretty much only for looks correct? and looking back at FF11 and most of the armor in this game i highly doubt this sort of thing will be anything other than a rare treat for people that want it.

Sexy armor for play, not for battle.
There is nothing more irritating than a thong with +50 defense in comparison with plate armor with just +10. That makes no sense, it's just a cheap way to sell sex to the players. Takes away from a classy aesthetic when you have lewd asses and breasts bouncing thin metal and leather flourishes across their forms in a serious battle to save the world.

3. Have you seen the hookers in the Miner's guild? THIS IS AN ADULT'S GAME, expect SOME degree of content not fit for kids.

3. This is a TEEN game. If it where an adult game, you could take your top off.
4. Fair enough. Long as the best gear remains looking like actual armor.

I don't think anyone will really find it acceptable for people to be wearing this gear in a serious battle. It seems to me to be just enough defense that you can casually dick around in it in totally non-serious fights, and allow you to take a handful of pesky agro hits. Just enough protection to wander around in.
And have you seen it on Lalafell? Its even less revealing than the swimsuits. It sort of looks like a summertime nightie.

Doesn't matter if you crop it, if you use in game assets, then the image is owned by to copyright holder of said assets, the only way to make it legally yours while still using in game assets is to alter the image enough so that the assets are "similar, but legally distinct"
