My prediction for new Island Sanctuary stuff: A new little subzone with a couple new types of materials, a few new animals, a new expansion to the main area that requires the new materials and has maybe another granary and monument slot.

I know they've stated they'll probably not update IS anymore after 7.1 or so I think, but if they can pull off ending its last content patch where it just straight up gave you the ability to build a house there, Im pretty sure many people in this community would be singing its praises.
"omg a new trail? new dungeon? more MSQ? Hype train booooyssss! SE have done it again seriously wth so hype!".
Have they shown the new dungeon gear or is it another undyable recolor again?
Yo fellow Hellsguards!
Remember, the Troian sets were not shown in the 6.2 patch previews and they are completely original sets. That was a really nice surprise too, considering they are really good.
Not saying this to get your hopes up, just saying that not being included in the Live Letter doesn't mean it ain't gonna be there.
On the contrary, from the pattern of previous expansions' patch dungeons, I would say we can safely expect a new design. Previously it has been a pattern of three originals and two recolours, alternating. This time we got two originals in a row then two recolours in a row, but I still would expect a third original now.
Fkin robes yet again for healers, and the pvp armor is also yet another long cape (which looks like robes from behind).
most of these are stunning. some of these are out of place and some are just "why" but its ffxiv "why" that ive been asking ever since the swine suit.. so its fine really. im happy they are making gear again that looks attractive after the disaster of abyssos wow-catering gear (tho i did work like a slave for those weapons) super hyped to get these in my dressor. also. thalea gear looking great too. didnt like (whats the secend tier even called lmao... to hard to pronounce) < those glams and im happy the new ones look good.
as for content. i mean theres not much but its nothing less than what we were expecting, tho its more than wede HAD so thats something..
but theres 1 thing that REALLY bothers me..https://pbs.twimg.com/media/F63I2O4W...g&name=900x900https://ms.yugipedia.com//1/13/Summo...e_Monsters.png
zeromas looks like summoned skull XD
to be honest with u. while i understand the distate, this is a
* fantasy game > robes are sort of the go to for casters
* final fantasy game > even more so the swing towards robes for casters because its part of there iconic look
theres lots of nice gear out there that u could glam over but with any caster/healer i run i use robes or job gear because everything else looks wierd
as for the long capes, i mean almost ever arour set now has a cape.. thats just how knights in 16th centuary dressed. i want capes to be seperate like OSRS so u can get prestiegous ones, but i think this game was lacking capes for so long that its nice to have them. many sets dont like archfiend which are still stunning sets
HMMM

Bit odd they have a similar silhouette, did they steal shiva!ryne's skeleton for him too?
It really doesn’t surprise me
I’m still surprised that shisui male armour still actually exists and that they decided to release the island tanga for men, trends recently have seemed to shift very strongly to giving males long baggy pants for no reason, especially in things like moonfire fairie, when was the last time that gave males a speedo vs females a bikini
I'm fairly certain Azeyma is Tsukuyomi, while Nald'thal might actually be unique? Or otherwise modified to the point it's hard to tell what the rig was originally?
Hmm, I'd have to look at Tsukuyomi again; Azeyma is the one I'm least certain of. But I think that Nald'thal is using Hades' model from the first stage of the fight, at least as a starting point for the model – the central humanoid figure without the giant arms attached.
Additional gear pictures are doing the rounds.

They seem to be using weapons from the Twelve's gearsets.
Why on earth would these even be Role restricted? It's so stupid...
Right? It's so frustrating...
To be fair, we haven't outright been told that they are role restricted, but those are the weapons they can be seen using in the screenshot.
Still, it wouldn't be the first time PVP gear is role-locked despite not being very roley, so I'm not expecting otherwise until we see it.
Both Gear Sets looks ugly. The second one is like the Magitek Attire.
This is something I definitely agree with!
I mean, when you find yourself in a team that looks like this:

you do ultimately realise that the restrictions are redundant!
Like a couple of the 24 man sets. Tank and hopefully the one on the left is striking.
PvP gear is meh. Hate the style.
What’s their obsession with futuristic/modern outfits lol? I’m guessing it’s going to be Allagan again which calls Allagan fashion into question, since there’s tons of outfits that are supposedly ‘Allagan’ but they’re all entirely different even in concept. I.e Coil’s more high Fantasy robes / armour, High Allagan being mix of fantasy and sci-fi, these new ones.
Plus Summoner’s artifact gear was supposedly worn proudly since it commanded fear and respect, so I’m supposed to believe people were walking around wearing ancient-style robes (with wings) whilst everyone else had these super high tech sci-fi outfits? And the people in the sci-fi outfits were like ‘damn look at that drip!’.
Please SE these fashion faux pas are giving me conniptions
