I have a strong suspicion that it's going to be never. They might up our glamour dresser to 1200 at some point, but they seem EXTREMELY hesitant to redo any significant systems. They've apparently talked a bunch about getting rid of the classes but decided against it because of how much work it would be.
Frankly, my frustration is that it's super slow to even just try something on in your own dresser. I would love to see like 8-12 items at a time as they would look like on my character. Like keep all my current look except show me 12 pants at a time to compare to.
No mention whatsoever /sigh
back to role based glams...
Interesting.
So the developers have time to edit collectibles and put for example the compass from aether currents in its own selection in the menu like yokai watch and mogpendium but they are no longer able to move the whole glamour selection and bookmarks to a similar "folder" under the menu ? I don't think it's the code. Just as the closet (I don't know the name) works for the inkeeper which I haven't been able to fill up after cap yet, the ability to switch between glamour sets should work even if not between all of them in the character tab on the fly but maybe for NPCs.
Not having enough glam plates for at least every job to have one is ridiculous to me. I couldn't even use all the new job armor gear as glam since shared roles are going to overwrite each other's glam and I wouldn't have enough for each class.
Then of course there's DoH/DoL and the random different thematic glams people may want as well
No mention of glamour plates, but we are going to talk half an hour about a simple-to-understand feature
I probably should stop watching LL's at this point this is just too frustrating lol
I was expecting something meaningful from the last liveletter of the expansion, but they beat around the bush for 2 hours and then started actually showing off stuff for the last hour and a half

When they mentioned glamour plates before, they said that the housing updates were coming first. But we haven't had much mention of those housing updates either. So I'll be curious if the 7.0 patch mentions anything or if that will be post-DT.
I really don't understand why there is still not the same number of plates like the number of jobs in the game.
It'so so sad and frustrating that so many cool designed pieces can't be used just because of not enough plates.
But of course most people try to make glamour that has not too much restrictions (no 1-job-pieces), so that they can use it for several jobs.
Not because we want this. Just because we have no choice.
Yes. :c
With Dawntrail:
21 Jobs + 11 (Crafter/Gatherer) + Bluemage + Beastmaster. And every job has glamour that ONLY that job is able to wear.
In DT we will have a total of 34 jobs. So we won't be able to have an individual glamour for 14 out of 34 jobs.
That's really a pain.
As it stands right now, we're forced to use the same sets on multiple jobs just because it's impossible to have a unique set for each DoW/DoM job, let alone crafters and gatherers... Definitely need at least one glamour plate for each job there is.
With the actual 7.0 release date literally next week, I'm necro-ing this. Maybe we could get more in a patch update? But especially with two dye channels and other increases to the number of options players have for glamour, and with the number of combat jobs fully passing the current number of plates (and that's ignoring DOH and DOL entirely!), an increase to the number of glam plates is sorely needed.
Hopefully we get it in a patch, and hopefully it's SOON.
Yes, I was grateful for more plates at all but we have so many classes that can't really have their own glamour identity because we don't have enough for one per all available classes. And we're getting two more dps classes and another limited job. Yet they show us things like that wonderful crafting and gathering gear that there's not really a point in getting if you also have many adventuring classes because they don't give us enough plates to cover everything.
I support more glamour plates, especially with 2 new jobs coming out, it makes sense we would get more imo.

Where are my glamour plates, yoship?
At LEAST one plate per class, combat and crafting as well. Minimum.
First of all, I completely agree with thread please more Glamour plates as that would help out a ton of players.
And while I doubt this would solve things for you ronibosch, but you can dye things before you store then in the glamour dresser and it should keep the dyed version stored for ya to use whenever. That way you can dye something once if you have "preferred colors" that you use and just store it like that (not an answer, hoping it helps though)
please sir, can we have some more glamour plates already?
At least one plate per job/Doh/DoL and some extra plate for fun of possible. Can't use crafter sets is so sad rn...
i need so many more.
Even ignoring something like roleplay and casual outfits, there's more Jobs than Glamour Plates now.
Not including blue mage.
We don't need more storage in the glamour dresser or more glamour plates, we need a new glamour system.
When I collect an item for the first time, that item's appearance should be permanently stored in my collection. I should be able to make unlimited glamour plates using any of my stored appearances - just store them locally if need be.
This is how other MMOs work and it should be how XIV works.
Yes! How they gonna give us new jobs and not at least 2 new glamour plates smh. There should be enough plates for at least one per job.
more glam plates please
We need soooo many more Glamour Plates. Like at least 50+ per character.
Remember to like the first post, so our request for more glamour plate gets more visibility í ¾í»¶ ...I want all my crafter to look amazing too, so many crafter glam unused.
They don't provide more housing item limit or more glamour plates and other things like this because it takes up database resources and server resources, which cost money.
Why do you think post EW was so bad? Perhaps because all resources were poured into the next expansion and graphical update.
Do not expect SE to go the "extra mile" when it means spending £0.01 more than they have to, to bring its customers a better experience than the bare minimum they can get away with.
I'd like one or two plates dedicated for each job (crafters and gatherers too) and ten free slots. I'm asking too much probably lmao.
Simply double existing interface should do the trick and be easy to implement (2 pages of 20 plates), mostly like housing copypasta maps
