Yes! Axolotl will fit Island Sanctuary way more than the raids. They can just use the ugly castle boss as a mount. Hopefully it'll change...

The moment I found out that it was the axolotl i got excited, first time doing savage properly in a long time so seeing the reward be something I'd use all time feels good it makes me want a work for it, that no matter how hard it gets theirs a cute little guy waiting for me plus the gear is good to, so ether go do savage or wait till 7.0 and do it in pf, thou first thing that tipped me off to it being a troll post is a gm telling you to post on the forum like my dude a gm prob wouldn't even get back to you if you sent them a message about a data mined mount, but if you can prove it then go right ahead post it, show us the gm's message it should still be there.

At this point, it should've been a third phoenix mount.

Just get yourself one of those "tools" 80% of the raiders use these days. But keep in mind that you can, theoretically, get banned for that. Or you just buy a boost.

That is obviously a joke, do not do it!
Always a pleasure to get one of those multi legends with unmelded Gear gathering 5 stacks on a expert roulette boss.

If squeenix would actually enforce their own rules, there would not be many raiders left.

I am beyond livid that the Garlond GL-II mount is locked behind Island Sanctuary. After I submitted a report in-game the GMs told me to post on the Official Forums instead. Here's the thing, Square Enix. Forward this thread to the developer who approved this and let them read this word by word.

You do not put cool mounts behind Island Sanctuary, ever. Island Sanctuary is for neckbeard Nintendo fanboys who want to treat this game like animal crossing. Give them a crappy cute Axolotl mount or something but cool motorcycle mounts do NOT belong to casual islanders. You're insulting all your customers by locking one of the most popular mounts this expansion behind an activity no one wants to do.

Next time, cool motorcycle mounts need to be available in content that real gamers do.

You do not put edgy titles behind Deep Dungeons, ever. Deep Dungeons are for pomander beard no-lifers who play this game 24/7. Give them a crappy Lone Hero title or something but edgy titles do NOT belong to soloers. You're insulting all your customers by locking one of the most popular titles this patch behind an activity no one wants to do. I feel cheated out of my $15.

Next time, edgy titles need to be available in content that everyone does or on MogStation.

This is just speculation, but I think I have an answer to the questions here about why the Axolotl is the savage mount. They were created in Elpis by the researchers, and if anyone looks up Axolotl lore in the real world, there is information about it from Aztec mythology.

though i am a little disappointed that last tier we got scammed out of another boss mount. i was hoping for proto-carbuncle as a mount but we got a reskinned alt-roite and a bird. and now we get scammed out of having elidibus or the pandaemonium spider mount too

I do think that Raiders do deserve mounts/glams/ect. for the effort they're putting in.

Nothing stopping them from releasing mounts for other activities too.

Wanted to see this legend thread with my own eyes.

OP makes a legitimate complaint and a bunch of people dogpile in to write git gud. Some of us can't raid due to an inconsistent work schedule. I guess I'll just wait four years and get it then.

Nobody is asking for those mounts to moved elsewhere.

IF OP wants mount, get good or wait 2 years like everyone else.

My answer yesterday, was no, today it is still no, if you want items and cool as well as cute items, you got to work for it, no matter what barrier is between... that is what we do... that is as how we got cool and cute mounts from the earliest days of FFXIV.

So quit it, pull yourself together and get in gear if you really want it, the next you are going to say is that the mounts gotten from Eureka should be handed out freely as well, without doing an effort, or Bozja... NO, you got to work for it.. whether it if it is Hunt Mountsm Island Sanctuary Mounts... yes you EVEN gotta work for moogstation mounts... 3000 commendations mount... and if you don't want to do it now.. wait untill next expansion and do it unsynched.

I’d like to know how it’s a legit complaint though. We’ve only ever had one mount drop from a dungeon. Why would they add the Axolotl when they have nothing to do with it in any sense

Doesnt matter why you can't raid. If you don't do the content you shouldnt get the reward by any other means.

I lost a bet with an FC mate who said this would be locked behind savage, and ironically enough, I said it was "too cute" to be gated by savage and figured it would at most be a Variant/Criterion spoil, but I actually thought it was going to be an Island Sanctuary mount. Gosh darn it!

Weak argument, should Ultimate players not have the ability to have some unique and flashy for their clear?

Edit:
Also if you can clear the ties of Savages that bars them in unsynched, you can start doign Ultimates then, stop expecting everything to be handed to you, some of it requires quite the feat and also should be able to show a bit more off than just the titles.

Also... I don't like flashy weapons myself but if I end clearing an Ultimate, then I will just keep the title and if the weapon is highest tier it will be glamoured into a mundane look.
