I appreciate stuff like that where it's adding to flavor to otherwise dry and unimportant dialogue, with FATEs also being a good example of such.

I do feel like the quality of the translations when it comes to important story/lore elements has gone down ever since Koji ceased being the English lead in that regard, though.

To be honest, if you need to just censor it with a Nutkin. On top of that, people who read too much into context obviously will think of it that way - but mind you Beatin is a guy who likes his wood. Why else would he be a Carpenter Guildmaster? The correction by Nicoliaux fixes that context in hindsight.
