On the topic of voices, I'd love to be able to mix and match the emote & battle voices. Like on Viera, the emotes on voice 5 are my absolute favorite, but it comes with such an angry battle voice. I used to always use that voice, but I can't hang with the ragebun anymore. :(
And for my latest annoyance, I'd reaaally like for retainers to retain their levels when switching jobs. I don't understand why they have to revert to level 1 when you swap.
To Vaporize (Hide) the ugly aetherpack that MCH has
I'd love that option. Also an option to hide Bard's quiver - while it's not as jarring as the lunchbox, sometimes it clips a lot.
There's one thing I'd love - some of the more subtle face emotes like /beam or /simper to be allowed as the "default" face instead of the /straightface. It can be really interesting to see an Au Ra male with a face that doesn't look like a brooding edgelord all the time.
I want dyes to be accessible when customizing glams without leaving the inn.
Hide tail option
Auto dismount when attacking while mounted.
I would say being able to talk while mounted too, but I realize its gonna be a shitshow with large mounts
Inventory improvements:
- If I have 30 items in my inventory, and 15 of the items are on my retainer I would like to push a button to move all of those items to the retainer, not right click 15 times. One time. Even SWTOR has this ability.
- FC chest. It's so clunky to interact with, it needs some serious overhaul.
- If I have a tacklebox, then MAKE IT A TACKLEBOX. It shouldn't share my inventory space; it should be similar to a Chocobo inventory.
- Stop making unique accessories. This may have had a meaning at some point, but it really doesn't have any good meaning. If I want to buy eight rings all the same, then I should be able to do that.
Dungeon improvements:
- Randomize the encounters in a duty. You can literally predict just about every fight. This one thing could make duties a lot more fun than what they are now. Right now, I can fall asleep doing duties and still play like I'm wide awake.
- Allow more of the upcoming job changing while in a duty and expand that beyond the criterion dungeons. You can even keep it restricted to job types (tanks, healers, DPS) if you want. Some jobs are more efficient at some fights versus others, but not all that great throughout.
- Loot items drop in older dungeons we used for crafting. Why can't that be a thing aside from the gear? I can post an opinion about need/greed on these items, but that's another debate.
Housing improvements:
- Obviously, instanced housing needs to be implemented. If they want a detailed paper on how to do it with the existing structure, I'll be more than happy to outline my idea. But we all know they don't ever listen to feedback in NA. Even if they could implement Wildstar's housing, that would be a huge improvement, but again - instanced housing has to show up first.
- Adjust placement of items so it's not so dumb. Glitching is uncalled for in an MMO this size just to make things work. Wooden lofts come to mind for an immediate 'WTF' moment. No one should need to use a third-party mod tool just to place furniture. How embarrassing.
- Glamour dressers obviously should be implemented at some point.
- Adjust the number of items that can be placed. It's extremely limiting especially for those building custom housing.
Graphics improvements:
- We know we are getting a little bit of an update to the game engine, but it frankly isn't a lot to be excited about. It's an old engine, and proprietary at that. Upgrade it, don't half-assed do it like the plan is currently.
- Let hairstyles be included in glamour outfits. If you have the hairstyle, put it with a glamour without shelling gil out every time for the change.
Server/client improvements:
- Server ticks are the absolute bane of my existence playing this game. I get hit by something I clearly got out of in time yet get hit by it. It's annoying to have to jump just to tell the server where you are. That's indie company quality.
- For the love of GOD - Do something about the bots/gold farming/advertising. It's been out of hand for over five years now and all you are doing is half-assed suspending accounts. Let us have our own custom filter for chat. BDO does this so good, SE needs to take some notes.
I'm going on a tirade now, but that's my top list items.
Some already mentioned but
- Remove crafting crystals/clusters etc
- Add more options in levels of hiding player actions/spell effects, and make it clearer exactly what each level is hiding
- More levels of options in what debuffs to show on enemies than just "all 38484894 useless info in any large group of players" or "literally nothing but mine"
- Get rid of useless confirmation popups like "are you sure you wanna open this door that will let you continue in the dungeon? Are you REEEAAALLY sure?"
- Get rid of some of the other general menu layers, or consolidate them. Swapping between retainers is annoying. Swapping between retainers, armoire/glam chest, inventory, armory chest, and chocobo saddle is EXTRA annoying.
- Let me hide or move mp bars on the party window.
- For the love of all that is holy and good PLEASE stop making fights with aoe markers that are the s a m e color as the floor. Please. I beg. Phoinix is one of the worst for this and my biggest problem with the fight, the biggest reason I cannot stand it, is the utterly godawful color scheme
1700 person slot wards
Cut in half the requirements to conplete each step of the zodiac weapons. I like grinding, but doing zodiac weapons grind is literal hell! xD
In random order and sometimes copied from others because I agree with them.
-Eureka and Bozja instances in DF. Give it a roulletes with content related rewards like memories.
-rewards from achievements are accountwide
-wow's glam system. Also accountwide.
-tickets from seasonal events carry dont expire. Like why the hell make a new item each year for it? :confused:
-zodiac grind reduction
-chocobo porters go to every location with a chocobo porter unlocked. They mostly have the nearest great city as their only location. It is weird.
-forced training for everyone starting out (especially when they boosted) so they know the game's mechanics better. the fact the combat training is optional is weird despite it doing a better job at explaining than the msq.
-Bunnies and big cats getting the hats etc they deserve. what game has 'limited' races anyways in terms of cosmetics?
-removing clusters and whatnot for crafting
-chaincrafting: to be able to manually craft a bunch of items in a row without being thrusted back to the crafting menu upon completing craft.
-being able to select which dungeons/raids will show up in roulletes
-actual currency tab. No more tokens taking up inventory space plz
-'Materia plates'. Basically being able to have gear melded with dif materia. I dont want to be stuck with optimised blm sps melds when i switch to rdm or sum.
-pretty much everything voldemorts can but a milion dollar dev company cant :rolleyes::p
I really need more macro slots, I use macros to create unclickable icons that I put around the middle of the screen for easier cd tracking and I use up all of them on not even half the Jobs lol.
I need more for the other Jobs and also because I want to actually carry Savage fights macros but I simply don't have space for them.
1) Repair all.
2) Have all aoe skills not require a target selected to use. How hard is it to just have the skill activate in the direction my character is facing? Like, god, this so utterly standard in many other mmos.
3) Be able to put all artifact weapons and gear in the armoire.
4) Auto sort toggle for all inventory categories (again, something so god damn standard in so many mmos).
Having all these features would change my life in this game.
Since it just came up in another thread? Blue mage rebalance and move to standard job.
1. Unlimited glamour. I know they're gonna double it soon but it's not enough to cater different sets of glamour for all the existing jobs.
2. Increase furnishing limit in housing/apartments.
3. Mini garden in apartments for gardening and outdoor decoration. Why give people outdoor decorations for quest rewards when not everyone can own a house?
4. PF for Bozja CEs like CLL and Dalriada which a lot of people get stucked with 'coz no one does it regularly anymore.
5. Increase inventory space and retainer capacity.
6. Adjust the Wooden Spiral Staircase's height. It's so nice but really impractical to use.
7. Allow us to place items directly on the Wooden Lofts. It's supposed to be a floor but you have to float stuff to place items on it.
8. Allow alts to access the main's house.
9. Housing rework for unlimited housing.
10. Be able to store Relic Weapons and Armors in the Armoire or a separate storage system for it.
11. More cities to access World Travel menu.
12. More music slots in the Orchestrion Playlist.
You know what I really dislike. Why the hefkciinhshf fuck isn't there a roulette for latest expansion dungeons. Stupid Expert, always the same Smileton or if you're lucky the Final Day for a incomprehensible chance , even Meteoin would cry, for the bird minion. When is the last time you ran any of the dungeons like the one with Anima boss. What a fucking waste for a awesome run.
1. Eureka, Bozja & all future adventure zone raids to be in regular Duty & Party Finder (this can be in addition to in-zone fills)
2. Ability to set the sweep angle of the "tab target select as cone" (180,90,60,45,30,15)
3. Open all 3 retainers & saddlebag at once
4. Ability to swap DOH while still kneeling in crafting window
5. Separate switch to turn on/off ability to eat placed food within houses
6. Stackable treasure map bottles or better yet a fully separate UI that takes the maps after the bottle is used and stacks them with groupings for zones & difficulty (we can do it for lost actions why not maps).
Allow us to use other classes glams. We can already lvl every job with one character, so why can't we do that
Make Hrothgars the same size as Lalas
You can do that now with dark matter...........?Quote:
Repair all.
For glamour?
I want the gleaner backpack for DoL classes.
Compas for hunt marks (on large maps searching for the elites is just tedious)
Faster materia retrieval (currently its just too many clicks when succes ratios are 100%)
Search field in duty window
Option to put a party link in the chat enable people to join the party (mainly for S ranks/rare fates as now its just lots of players shouting lfg)
Option to delay notifications until after a cutscene. (i realy dont care if a new FC sub voyage was started in the middle of a cutscene, that info can wait)
Now that DC travel is out, cross-DC linkshells? I wonder how much effort that would take to implement or if it'd even be possible
Speech bubbles with a "Friends and FC only" option. My ADHD makes looking at a moving chat window very tiring for my brain, and strains my eyes with how distracting it is.
Redo savage loot system so people can actually play on alt classes when savage is relevant. The whole praise of ff14 that you can have as many alts as you want on 1 character is a lie.
Some way to manage ping issues/lag in combat where quick reactions are necessary to avoid totally crippling yourself. I cannot tell you the amount of times I've obviously cleared an AOE marker on my screen (sometimes by a second or more) but still get hit.
Sure, some fights you can learn to preemptively avoid mechanics with as much spare time as possible, but other fights are too random (especially on a job with no additional mobility, or target-specific only mobility).
I have super reliable fiber internet and live about 2,000 miles from my DC, and I get that the distance doesn't help, but FFXIV is literally the only mmo (really the only game, period) that gives me so many issues. What I wouldn't give to play in Japan on a JP server lol
Something that has been frustrating me since I got a FC house....is trying to get things onto the lofts. They should be treated the same as the floor, not a table. Not being able to place things without glitching them onto it is a really bad design, especially since there are the stairs that make it so you can get up to the loft. Would really love if they fixed it, but I highly doubt it will happen any time soon(if at all).
A vendor in all major cities that sells every piece of every level of Poetics gear that's currently locked behind MSQ progress. I was routinely 10 levels above the zones I was in but couldn't get Poetics gear appropriate for my level until the end of each expansion; at which point I was a high enough level to wear the endgame Poetics gear from the expansion *after* the one I'd just finished.
For example, this alt's now level 90 but has only finished the standard 5.0 (not 5.1 etc) story, so I'm capped on tomestones and had to spend millions of Gil to gear out my retainers. Money which could have been saved if I'd had access to Poetics.
I'm not even going to get into being capped on Astronomy and Aphorism...
An inventory for dyes only!
- hats for Vieras and ears for Hroths;
- better report system in which you can just right click on the person, select to report and the popped up window is very user friendly with boxes to check for controller users and auto-fill name/server/time of the targeted character;
- craft matts in a separated inventory in which materials inside it are accessible while crafting to liberate space in your regular inventory for other items;
- non questgivers NPCs could have scheduled behaviour to fit night and day and weather changes;
- when putting something to sell on the MB, you should see prices for the item in other servers in the same Data Center as a popped up window. This can be exceptionaly useful for itens with zero or few in stock in your server;
- the same ideia as before, but for buyers on the MB. In this way, you can see where is the item cheaper and avoid waste of time teleporting to wrong servers in the search for the item;
As I remember more, i'll return here :)
Store pigments on retainer. Open up all the tribal vendors and you're set. The rest is on city vendors leaving a few on Firmament and MB.
Most materials are so easily accessible. This will never happen, especially with the item count continuing to go up. Get organized and stop trying to do everything at once. ;)
...I should do that. Stock up on tons of each pigment, and then sell the hundreds of dyes I have currently. Open up 2/3 of the retainer they are all currently on that is only dyes and finished relic weapons.
Edit: Just checked the companion app, and that retainer is sitting at 150/175, with 52 relic weapons(all ARR, HW, and ShB), 1 Treant Root Materia - because you can't get it anymore, 1 map, 3 different crafting mats, 1 housing item, and the rest is dyes.
One of the smallest but most substantial changes they could make is to have the curser rest on "yes" instead of "no" whenever you need to open a door. Having it default to "no" makes me think whoever made that choice has never played a game in their life.
