I can see it now.
No cast time changes on Holy so that it doesn't clip when we use our oGCDs, to say nothing about the rest of our GCD heals at least matching AST's equivalent skills in terms of cost/cast times.
No MP buff on Assize, despite being our only real MP sustain tool anymore since Thin Air is pretty lackluster in its current state.
No potency increase on Misery despite it being worse than its ShB iteration due to both the cast time changes and Glare's potency increase.
No. Those are unworthy of consideration in the face of 400 MP Regen and 10y Cure 3 + Asylum or the pièce de résistance that is Detonating Lilybell on command
If they delete Astrodyne they will have to figure out something to do with seals unless they manage to delete that as well. Apparently getting seals was too hard for divination, somehow, so they had to create Astrodyne and separate lord and lady out into the mess of buttons it is now.
Delete seals. I want AST to be specifically star-themed, not with this tacked-on Moon and Sun dichotomy that for some reason MNK has too. Let RPR and SAM be the "Moon" jobs. It's superfluous on AST now that we no longer have nocturnal/diurnal sects, not to mention seems wholly arbitrary and complicated stacked on top of a deck that supposedly has six totally different minor arcana as well.
I sadly expect this at this point in time. My faith is in flux with the dev team they finally fix living dead and than they do something monumentally mind boggling to another class. I am still salty they took away shadow fang for no reason other than the window lickers can't push an extra button. 'buuuut button bloat' yeah change the 1,2,3 to one button like pvp and stop with the jabaiting into an uncombo because my attack missed somehow magically on the second one and I didn't notice. The worst was the time I missed with over powered because I was one level below the mobs in the overworld so nope you don't deserve to hit those mobs too bad you used your second aoe skill thinking you had the combo going. I sware someone on the dev team has a meter for when people miss combos and everyone stops coding to laugh each time. Though they might suffer asphyxiation with some of the people I have seen in the overworld free styling. Some times I hate myself for having good memory as to what the 1 2 3 machinist animations look like.

I hated the seals system when I started playing FFXIV in Shb and I sure as hells hate them now.
There is legit no worth while system to me that uses seals that I am going to like. Scrap the seals system. Scrap Astrodyne. We have AOE Balance now (Divination) give me back diverse cards, please and thank you.
Yeah I'd pump the brakes there for a minute, Living Dead could still be shit:
- We don't know if Living Dead still kills the DRK if they aren't healed for 100%
- We don't know how much self-healing the DRK will contribute
- We don't know if there's a gauge that shows how much healing the DRK has received
- We don't know if the invuln stays active once the Doom is cleansed
Who knows, maybe the self-healing is shit and the Healer is still burning cooldowns to stop the only Tank that thinks suicide is badass. Or maybe the healing is too much and can't be tracked so the DRK dies like a dipshit in the middle of a multi-hit Tankbuster. I ain't calling it a fix until the full patch notes are out and the game is live for testing.
oooof your right. On paper it sounds good, but the track record of how they implement things. I think my problem is I am too nice to them. I want to not worry about them going full ape, but my mind is always brought to that scene in Tropic Thunder. They have already gone full. It's even worse when going through similar things with multiple mmos. I think I am at the stages of grief with final fantasy where denial would be most applicable. I kind of just want them to stop trying to fix things because with every fix they make things worse. I don't want to believe they are making the game easier as to not gate keep. The new born child right from the womb could now experience final fantasy xiv a realm reborn with free trial up to the award winning heavensward.
I love playing astro and relying on rnjesus he is such a good god he gives me all melee cards I can't redraw when I have an all ranged/caster party. I guess I'll just card the tank? but if I did this with my luck or horrible rng the dps would never get one card an entire raid. Sure at that point I'll card the dps anyway because that little bit extra is better than nothing, but really....why.
Gotta make having 6 cards worth while without giving all 6 unique properties some how!
6 cards, divide them into 3 melee and 3 ranged and then give each of those 3 a seal to make them worth something! Perfect!
