Just let the people unsync it if they want without any restriction like not a guaranteed drop or anything
wtf cares about the work the devs put in, we paying a monthly subscription to play this freaking game and the devs get paid for the work, and non real raiders does really care if people unsync it or not, if its outdated content

Raiders used to care about this, but people have accepted that unsyncing is necessary for the game to function. That doesn’t mean the issue disappeared. It’s just an unavoidable trade-off. The real frustration comes from how rewards lose value once content becomes trivialized.
Take Extremes, for example. I don’t bother with them on-patch anymore because there’s no point. Being patient and waiting makes it easier and faster to get the prizes. They are even being included into the Moogle Tome Event. I'm sure plenty of people feel the same way about Savage, and if they tackled it now instead of waiting, it could help boost PF fill rates. If unsyncing wasn’t an issue, Ultimates would be unsyncable too, but they aren’t. That’s why they still hold prestige while Savage and other content fade into irrelevance.
The problem is, there’s no better solution. Keeping content synced forever would gatekeep players. Ultimates prove that difficulty preservation works only in rare cases where it makes sense. Applying that across the board would alienate too many people.
So, while unsyncing isn’t perfect, it’s the only practical option. Most players have accepted it as a necessary evil for the betterment of everyone including themselves.

This would make causal player have less to do who want to collect items but don't want to commit time to learn savage.
