I get all of that up until having to worry about other peoples kids. I get not wanting weird stuff in PF or in peoples faces, but where in all this should I care for someone elses kid, they made,I didnt make it, not my responsibility, is all I'm generally saying.

Well you would want to care for it to some degree if you want to continue to have access to your account. No one is saying you are obligated to report anything fishy you see, but you are obligated to not act in a way that violates the ToS and that includes not engaging in 18+ content. We all agreed to this when we created our accounts. You can't play the game unless you accept the terms of the ToS. At the very least you are responsible for your actions.

Hey if that's what you have to do to keep enjoying the game the way you like then fine by me. Was just saying a person's distaste for needing to behave in a certain way in the game doesn't change what they agreed to by accepting the ToS. A broken arm is technically less of a concern than two broken arms, though neither situation should be left unchecked. If people don't want to be called out for inappropriate behaviour then I think that they should not be breaching the terms of service in the first place.

Just seeing the words "feet pics" written in PF isn't going to awaken anything in anybody.

Where do you draw the line though? Sure you can say that feet aren't automatically sexual content but neither is a schoolgirl outfit but if this thread was about a PF post saying "poke me for photos of my schoolgirl outfit" many responses here would be quite different.

You should care if you value your account and ability to play FFXIV. Because rule breaking is a good way to get banned.

Sometimes I'll heavily exaggerate the state of this game as a joke to people outside of it when MMOs comparisons come up. Specifically the recent drama with the erotic duty finder boards. Then I see posts like this and realize if anything I'm under selling how insane it's become.

Fairly easy going and always trying to be reasonable, but I don't see the merit in arguing for this stuff. Vast majority don't want to see this game turn into second life. Devs don't want that. We don't need people assembling brothels' in a board made to find parties for content. The whole argument that kids will find a way (while true to some extent) regardless has never, and will never be a valid comment to this. Making it difficult to seek out the act is a proven method to limit the act itself. Especially when the method of deterrent is something we all want anyway, for this nonsense to be off our duty finder.

Some of these responses really kind of prove that the slippery slope is real.

I haven't checked the PF in a few weeks so can't say about this specific thing, but I don't doubt that it is not a troll and an actual perv weirdo. I find people selling feet pics in a Party Finder of an online game really cringe regardless, would love to see it removed even if there aren't kids involved. I don't have kids, I never want kids. They are far too much work and commitment for me. I hate how loud they are, I hate other people's brats that don't listen and they cannot be bothered to reprimand their sprogs. I want as little to do with children as possible. But even so, adults conducting themselves in a manner that can be damaging to children knowingly is disgusting. The "Oh these kids aren't my problem, so I shall ERP with whomever I want" doesn't fly. Every adult has a personal responsibility to not partake in any illicit activities with minors. "She said she was 18" is a pathetic excuse.

Furthermore, I wouldn't read such pf's if they were not literally the first thing you see when you open the window along with the other RMT garbage. The feet selling stuff is pure cringe to me. It doesn't belong on pf nor does any other kink.

Plenty game's have adult themes, they have absurd amounts of gore, the sluttiest outfits imaginable etc etc You can go get your weird furry fix in another game I am sure.
I'm no fan of having other people's kids be my problem due to their screaming or bad behaviour, but I don't get to just throw off all responsibility I hold as an adult.
