PVP exclusive mounts rewards are unfair to non pvp players

Garo mounts are not tied to any kind of ranking and were out for months. Anyone willing to obtain them had more than enough time to do so, even if one started after we learned that they were time limited.

Name one mount or minion that wasn't tied to some promotional event (i.e. you had to spend money) that is exclusive in PvE. Outside the Yo-kai event, everything can be obtained whenever you fancy. In fact, it becomes increasingly easier as new content releases; Ultimate notwithstanding.

Only PvP has timed exclusive mounts gated behind a system filled with exploits. Ironically, despite people insisting this is necessary to keep PvP alive... it's still on life support. It's almost like making rewards so limited loses the appeal.

The Regalia was limited time and only obtainable by doing PvE content. Several mounts were also tied to seasonal PvE events and, as such, are not obtainable anymore.

Technically, that would fall under spending money. Although, I suppose I should amend my response still since those were obtainable for free at one point. That being said, they take no effort whatsoever.

I don't see how Garo mounts actually require any effort also. Winning matches is not that difficult, even if you personally sucks at PvP.

Garo mounts took me little to no effort in the span of a few days. So what's the issue?

If the majority of people turned their crying into effort, they wouldve got what they wanted by now :D

As a player that despises PvP (any form of PvP) after being traumatized by WoWs PvP servers for 4 years: not at all.

You don't do the content, you don't get the associated cosmetic rewards. Beautiful in it's simplicity, aye?

Honestly, this event was released way before Stormblood. We've had something like two and a half year to get those mounts at this point and now they're finally ending the event.

I can see if it's a new player joining the game, but there's still some 20+ days to get the wins and with PVP in Moogle Tomes the wait time is very low so it's easy to get your wins if you dedicate some time for it.

The op is right, it is unfair that everyone can't get everything, this needs to change. Making us actually play the game and earn stuff is an outrage.

I demand a big I WIN button available at every login, then i can choose to press the button and get every reward for every quest and achievement instantly.

it's there for people that are willing to put in the time.

Wow. This doesn't sound entitled in the least.

If there were no mounts locked behind PVP nobody would care, since it doesn't exist. It would be a valid argument if the only thing Square Enix was making was PVP mounts, but you can get mounts from nearly everywhere. How is this unfair at all? It's certainly fair for players who commit a lot of time to PVP.

Just an invalid argument. Maybe don't be such a completionist and wanting everything because, the sad truth is, you won't. None of us likely won't complete every single thing there is in FFXIV. I'm talking everything down to the T, every item unlock, every achievement.

Of the many multiplayer games I played, Final Fantasy XIV has one of the nicest and most supportive community I've ever been involved in. It's very interesting how a troll thread can really bring out the toxicity in people :P

I'm pretty damn sure this is a top notch troll post. Almost as good as someone asking people why Zelda always has to save the princess or why the mount is called Invincible when we can clearly see it.
