Dancer, new trails, new msq, and new areas to explore
-Story-wise
I'm very interested in the Nier raid. I knew what to sort of expect of the ivalice raids but the Nier raid breaks new grounds as it's the first raid to actually feature a crossover with a game not part of the Final Fantasy franchise. While I understand that we're heading into inter-dimensional adventures (kinda), I'm just genuinely interested as to what sort of story we're going to experience.
-Gameplay-wise
-No mp or tp huh? Are we going full blown gauge? Or something else entirely? I don't know what but can't wait to welcome grey hotbars with open arms
-The novelty of new jobs. While I do shrug at Gunbreaker and Dancer (I never got hyped for any of those), I am however, excited to play with new toys.
-Improvements
Well, there have been many improvements that I know we're not going to see this expansion but so far, SE has not disappointed me when it came to new QoL's added in every xpac. Sometimes, it's stuff we expect and sometimes, it's stuff we didn't know we needed but they're most welcome.
Here is my thought on how to implement it.
Blitzballer Job
1. Create a class that would be a hybrid of Healer (Back line) and DPS (Front Line) and Tank (Goalie)
a. Having this class gives you the passive ability to breathe under water
2. Have a quest to lock the class and thus unlocking the blitzball arena. Once the arena is unlocked and class unlocked.
a. Each Postion Has it's own abilities and need to do things to be complete to learn the skill and tie it to the Hunting Log
b. Example Kill 15 Hornets (Poison Shot)
3. Make it where you can bet on matches and play in the games themselves in the golden saucer.
4. As you level up the class you unlock new moves that can apply in the PVP match and when fighting monsters.
5. Weapons and Armor
a. Weapon - Blitz Ball Give it status effects during fights in area and fighting monsters
b. Armor - leather class
6. Host the tournaments to fight against the other nations
My personal favorite choice for new race Goblin. So I can be the Warrior of Shinies, All music being replaced with the Papaya song, a fixed and functional armour system so my packs aren't perpetually full of glam items.... and Hildebrand
The Nier: Automata raid and all the new music we'll be getting over the next couple of years. Can. Not. Wait.
New race and hopefully a mount i can call my main mount, so far all mounts are pretty bad i thought the lion mount was awesome, until i saw its a bulldog with a hyena face and a steroid problem.
New class. Want to see if it is as good as it seems. Love the bard and some of the shot animation so dancer I am hoping is as fun.
Honestly? Everything. Just straight-up everything. Just don't screw over summoner this time, okay? ;)
The exploration of new zones. That sense of first time discovery is always a major selling point for a new expansion to me. When everything is fresh a lot of players are more social, too, so that certainly helps.
Other than that, I always look forward to the new music. I'm also pretty excited about Gunbreaker.
New physical range DPS.. Dancer! = )
- more story!!!
- dancer!!!
- new skill!!!
- more fashion!!!
- expecting another raubahn savage!!!
viera interest me but, i dont want to waste 10$ just so i get the same face as my previous char but with a long bunny ear slapped on top of my head. unless buying shadowbringer give me one for free.
I'm actually looking forward to NG+ because I want to see what it's like in full. I do wonder how the dungeons will be handled since those can't be leveled up to match the NG+ level when I start it (probably at 80). Especially not the 1.0 dungeons which have no hard mode version to use. Though I guess they'll just count the dungeon as done while we go through the solo fights and such on our own without having to repeat.
But other than that? Freaking DNC. I'm 100% stoked for it. Also new gathering points and new crafting stuff for Ishgard restoration. Big, big happy about that. Maybe if there's another Raubahn EX, I can do what I did for SB and level my gatherers to 75 while waiting for that to open up. Don't care much about the new races since they're gender locked and also not shorter than female au ra like I wanted them to be (I wanted alphinaud height bunnies not elezen with attachments). But we can't have everything we want, can we?
Oh and that lake area. the new mor dhona. I wanna go there. I wanna live there. pls. thank.
Hard to pick just one thing, it all looks so exciting! More MSQ, gorgeous new zones, levelling my gatherers more, Ishgard restoration.
Dancer job, viera and finally seeing Code Rapture..or at least the inspired zones :)
New story for sure, given that it's almost melancholic to see the "To be continued..." in the upper left section of my screen lol.
WHM changes have me a bit excited to see what exactly they'll end up being.
Hrothgar. Time to stop being a Catboy and be a Mancat instead.
Level 80 level cap and the hundreds of hours that's going to be wasted doing MSQ roullete lol.
1) Excited to see which class/aspect of the game they butcher next.
2) Job changes + new skills.
3) Gunbreaker.
4) Story. More specifically what my best friend Zenos is going to be up to.
Hrothgar dancer. I hope it looks dopey as hell
Considering the demand for Viera was and still is super high, I just can't picture them not cashing in on the millions they'd probably make from Fantasias alone. They may also surprise me but if I were them I'd just wait for the money to come rolling in. It'd be the smart thing to do business wise.
I'm excited for that sweet, new Norvrandt themed instanced player housing.
Nevermind, I'm thinking of some other game.
Well in that case I'm most excited for the new music, races, and jobs!
GBK, Drk actually being usable again, and ISHARD REPAIRS... Sorry, my omnicrafter is showing.
Playing as a hrothgar, story, lvln all jobs to 80 and seeing there new abilities/battle changes
1. Seeing if they can make improvements, however minute, to their storytelling and zone design/pacing.
2. Seeing what job adjustments they can manage not to butcher.
3. Seeing what will come of TP removal and other changes to overall systems.
4. Being disappointed by New Game+ (alongside Jump Potions) being considered a comprehensive fix to an ARR MSQ experience that still irredeemably turns off, say, one in five would-be players?
The things I'm consistently looking forward to in XIV are the spectacle of the new zones and trials, the music that accompanies them, and the story that ties them together.
The Trust System is what I'm most looking forward to. Not specifically for myself, but more for the sake of my wife, who plays very casually.
While she has fun crafting, gathering and chatting with friends, she is not a skilled player. So when it comes time to advance her through dungeons I bring people I know to carry her ( Most players are understanding, but justified or not, I dread my own reaction to someone berating her in duty finder). I don't think she has ever done a dungeon more than the one time it is required.
What I'm hoping for with the Trust system is that I'd be able to practice with her to the point she is comfortable and competent without burdening other players, or making the game seem like a 'chore', which would drive her away from it.
For the classes more than anything and seeing the changes to older ones. Really do hope Summoner changes (if anything) make it more interesting.
For me I am most excited to see how the duality between light and dark will work in SB, and also learning more about Solus and who he really is. As a tank main I will of course add GB to my arsenal but I am curios once the nerf hammer hits (and it will) how the class will actually play. and of course Nier Gear lol
Male Viera qwq
A Hrothgar filled quicksands to RP with xD.
Dancer and Viera and the story I really am excited ^O^
Dancer
I'll be caught up for the 1st time with this expansion
More glamour plates
New music
New areas to explore
Level cap will now be 80 instead of 70
New outfits
How Vieras look in action
But what I'm really curious about is how they plan on combining our TP and MP bar together and how that's going to affect all the classes. In terms of lore, I do hope we get a much better story that doesn't feel rushed this time around.
