I think you are right. The inactive accounts are bogging down servers maybe. I was under the impression though, that SE would only be taking into account, active accounts. This whole server merge would make zero sense to me, if they were worried about inactive players...

No lol, do you not remember the massive shit storm the carebears started with not wanting to be seperated from friends that quit that "MIGHT" comeback one day? I can go bump it if you like.

Why would you be under that impression?
Almost the entire community threw a fit over their long lost buddies that will never be playing again. SE listened to that.
Right now you are looking at a merge where people who don't even play, may never play again, and possibly dont even care about the game...are effecting the people that do.

You have to take into account inactive accounts, as those players can come back at any given time... that's why people are getting what they deserve for complaining about the merge metod :P

I've done my part and moved to Ragnarok along my LS, now you people make way for others too, lol.

FFXIV Communities logic at its finest. I just hope people learn from it and have better understanding of the choices they are making with this game.

Not necessary. I thought people were bitching about the fact that they didn't have a choice and blah blah blah about how their current communities would be broken and impossible to move completely. I was pretty dismayed at the outcry I saw after the initial merger talk. Ah well, I guess we are mostly stuck to where we were. Great, lol.

I also want to start a Ragnorak movement. This is horseshit. If the EU don't want it, I'll move there lol...

Would just like to say, I have 2 accounts, 2 characters paid for, 14 characters unpaid, LOL so w/e server they on is bogging up server and i garauntee im not alone in that XD back when it was free n we all made multi chars.

I could go delete um all but NEVA!

Later on when the EU wakeup/get home from work, and move to Rag the servers will pop up, still another 6hrsz

Everyone had a choice to start with. It was the fact that inactive accounts would be distributed through all the new servers evenly. Thus splitting them up. The community raged because these people who don't support the game didn't have a choice in where they went mostly because these inactive accounts are apparently friends of players who still play. So the current community gets to stay with their inactive buddies that might never come back and loses overall choice for active players alike.

Congratulations.

Lol this is the most fun I've had in the game in over 1.5 months. Oh wait, I'm on the forums...

Because presumably, when the servers first opened there was space to move. As time goes on more and more servers are filling up but the population of the servers they were assigned to should also go down.

Since Ragnarok had noone to start with, anyone that has gone there should also free up space on the other servers.

With the current state, unless Ridill started with a high enough population to fill every other slot on every other server whist maintaining a population itself AND covering anyone that moved to the empty Ragnarok then something here isn't right.

Question. If my "default merge world" is going to be Masamune, does that mean I don't need to use this application?

Edit: Nevermind. Found the answer.

I'm happy I'm gonna be on the same server as my friend who quit back in jan last year and not planning to come back.

That's still not an impossibility. It's a small improbability. All we get is a symbol that denotes a range we don't know, not a definitive number that exemplifies a player distribution.

I just got home from work to do the server transfer application and ive been stuck on besaid with no australian activity whatsoever and now i get the opportunity to join masamune .... its already full ?! anyone know if Ridill will have any australian activity ?? this game gets boring soloing ... ?

I saw gungnir pop up again. I wonder if any of the other are fluctuating inbetween refreshes

I'm not real sure of its time zone. But nothing is set in stone. still a long stime til the applications end. so just keep trying to get on masamune use another server as a last chance choice.

Selbina had up to 1500 peaks at time so yes. We had alot

Poor Ridil, hits 2-3 times, but not here, cant even hit once!

why dont they exclude inactive accounts for the world transfer app period until all of the active players made their choice then reassign the rest of the inactive players in the remaining spots in each server.
