A lot of people - myself included - wanted some 'simple' looking mounts. I'm glad that the Ananta provided that. Hopefully we'll get the plain version of the falcons found in Othard as well as a reward somewhere.
Doesn't really change the fact that the game has always mentioned when things get added to the shop yet it is strangely absent here.Quote:
thing is if you're really into mount collecting people in the know know that the Ananta would give two mounts. plus the npc's shop items can be seen on sites like garlandtools so it's all there out in the open.
If you have no reason to suspect something, you wouldn't go looking for it. Don't assume "people in the know" applies to everyone... I have what I think are most of the mounts that aren't from PVP or cash shop, but I had no reason whatsoever to suspect that this tribe would have two mounts, on the basis that every other tribe didn't.
Stuff like this has no reason to be sneaky "in the know" information.
Sure, usually it unlocks something, but we know that because usually it tells us so when it does. There have been ranks where nothing gets added.Quote:
I'd think any person would wanna check the shop whenever they rank up as it usually unlocks something.
I'm happy about getting a recolor of a paid mount in game. This allows everyone to enjoy the mount in a way and I want to see the devs continue providing these kinds of options in the future. Getting the outfit would have been nice but at least we got the nails.
See, the issue here is yes, of the 10, only 3 have costumes. But when they gave costumes to Vath, Vanu, and Kojin practically in a row, people saw a pattern and expected a precedent was set. The moogles not having that was handwaved because there is already an entire moogle outfit glamour, and if the devs did any more than the slippers they would have faced the outcry of the people who got their glam from the fanfest.
I don't blame people for seeing a pattern having been set, especially since 3 is usually the magic number where we expect it from then on.
"Once was a fluke, second was coincidence, third is confirmed."
I am happy about that too but only if they are used as an extra price on top of another unique one. I dont want the recolors in the game if that means that they can just ignore introducing new and unique looking stuff. Put all those recolors behind the achievement points (and maybe so that you can own them all if you have a high amount of points) and that would give people the chance to own them. But I want unique items as a reward for ingame content. Otherwise it will feel more and more lazy.
Like others said, I would've liked their cute little beds and any other unique furniture from them. Kinda like the sylphic items.
I liked the Ananta vendors they gave for housing, I hate that they are literally all the same model with no differences tho. Some other housing stuff would've been great, since we got to se so much cool stuff they have like the beds and the boxes and treasure chests. I am really disappointed at the lack of Ananta lore and items in general that we got. :/ We don't really know much about them and it was a missed opportunity on SE's part to tell us more about this awesome tribe that decided to join forces with Ala Mihgans.
Both the Vanu Vanu and the Vath got one glamour set at rank 7, and a second one (of the opposing tribe's colours) for rank 8. The Kojin so far have one, but I wouldn't be surprised if they got a second once we've done the rank 8 overarching quest. That the Ananta don't have one now is rather disappointing. I would have loved to dress my guy up in all that glittering finery.
So I'm asking now, if this wasn't planned already please add a set for rank 8.
I totally get that a snake-tail would have been really difficult for Square to implement, but I was really hoping for the hip-wrap, cropped beaded top, and headpiece that the ananta wear. It feels unfair that ananta are the first tribe since heavensward which don't get glamour items, especially when their aesthetic is so pretty.
We also got to see a ton of nice furnishing items during the questline and I was honestly really disappointed to see that it didn't unlock as purchaseable :( it feels like a missed opportunity for Square, especially since the models already exist.
I keep reading her about how difficult it would be for Yoshida's dev. team to make Anata tails but wouldn't the easiest solution to this be making the "Anata tail" into a long form fitting dress skirt or pants that resemble their tails? We don't really need something that exaftly resembles the Anata tails, if that's what people want. Just something that resembles it to some degree that makes us "feel" like we have an Anata tail! Matching pointed scaled shoes/heels could easily complete the lower half, too
