Plenty of people will be, I certainly will.

You are posting that on a forum, but I doubt it once chocobo armor is released and especially so once there are other expansions to the chocobo system.
what?? chocobo armor?? chocobo's don't fight! that's soo stupid!! what a waste of time, money and resources! SE needs to get their priorities straight!
HAHAHAHAHA, another thread that I skipped through because the OP sentiments made me laugh.
Commmon i love having a picnic on top of a slab of rock!!!!!!!!!if you have 10 people crowded around on their giant rock mounts looks like we're all having a jolly time eating tea and crumpets on a hillside :)
Don't piss off Blue Gartr, SE. Final Fantasy XIV is their livelihood. Think about their children.
I like how people pay for this game, but are ashamed to admit they like it.
Anyone who disagrees with me is a White Knight? I don't recall going to that extreme, but feel free to keep on believing whatever makes you happy.
I'm not paying for this game. There's a grace period.
i doubt it took much to make the mount. think of the mini expansions in ffxi. i don't know crap bout programing or whatever it is the devs do but even then i was told it takes next to nothing to make things like that. they already have everything made for most part. it's not like they had to make a gobbue skin even.
besides after 2.0 how much you want to bet there will be ways of getting the gobbue mount to. aka pay for it threw real money or at the very least in game currency or something. and it also sets up a little for people who want frivolous things like this. so i doubt they wasted anything in adding it. i just think they added something they had planed on doing either way if the game was successful. only diff is they giving it as a gift to those who stayed. ...not worth the stay really. but if you think later it can cost 10bucks to get, then maybe it will be worth paying for a month to get it ...like i might do at .21 or .22.
people are now complaining about a miserable little existence of a mount of all things?? Whats next, the posture of the shop NPCs? >.>
The OP has a valid point. Just like the damn swimsuits. It makes no sense why SE is developing things like this when there is such a lack of real content.
They could have fixed some things on the giant list of requested patches or delivered on server mergers.
goes /anon.
I like the Goobbue mount ^_^
lol the tags for this thread are so funny
tis an old saying you can deceive some of the people most of the time or most of the people some of the time but you can never deceive all of the people all of the time... same goes for pleasing as deceiving.
Soon as not see Gooboos myself but as it goes so goes it. all poor beasts must follow the herd. get one for the music.
For dev time though the mesh was already in & it may have been a straight swap from a choco; The cost could be less than might appear. (I am half code monkey)
P.S. a horse ^_^ for a miner a donkey for a knight = a beautiful world.
The swimsuits were an event thing, they HAD purpose since they were earned in some way, even if they were just aesthetics in the end.
Anywho, I agree with the OP too. The Goobue's are a waste of time and effort, and they look horrible when people are running around on them..First my party will be standing there for whatever reason, then the next second someone decides to hop on a goobue and then most of my screen is filled with a blubbery, ugly mess >.<
Bleck!!
I think we all tend to forget that the game designers are artists, and artists are known to sometimes stop what they are doing and do something spontaneously creative. This is just my opinion but its just possible that once they had conceived of the Goobue mount they couldn't rest till they made it reality. I'm pretty sure the production deadlines didn't slip a month as a result, and it sad it's brought on so much vituperation.

Your anger feeds me.
What is up with people bashing Blue garter?
