Where is 1.20B, Is 1.21 going to be late?

I'd be happy with patch notes being available before they do maint. Don't understand why it always has to be such a secret.

Well they did release patch notes before the last big update which they had to modify later because of changes, so this is most likely the reason they hold off till day of.

personaly, i dont see why they need to release them early at all

let them wait til the patcxh itself to give us the notes


the fact that they give us most of the important info in daily lodestone posts leading up to the patch itself should mean alot(even if it doesnt make it into the prime patch and gets pushed to the a or b patch)

What I personally understand from that post is "We're so damn full of work that we don't have time to give you guys updates. Please hold on, we're working, I assure you!". which is, for me, good enough

So this patch will finally get released in Late December! (or is it January yet?)

Tempestmoon didn't ask why SE can't tell us a date days before, but ask why SE can't tell us what would be in 1.20b days before.
I just say they did tell us.

Oh plz, the only thing we know is that there is gonna be a gobbue. There surely will be more but we gotta wait.
As far as 1.21 we dont know at all how it's progressing, if it's gonna be released in any timely manner, if they gonna have to leave something out, nothing.
Lets not beat around the bush. We got slapped with a bill and haven't got any concrete info ever since. Pretty crappy way to start out a year.

whats funny is he apologized for nothing on the 1.20 update

it was due for "late november to early december"

and we got it in early december.....


as for every other update before then, there was NO TIMELINE so nothing was really late

Yoshi is being over apologetic, it's good PR. He can see what is going on and being said on the forums. Even though no exact dates were given and no general time lines were broken the perception of lateness is still with the community. So right or wrong he apologizes for that.

did you even read what i said?

i said he DID apologize...for nothing, cuz there was nothing to apologize too

basicaly, when the patch wasnt at the "start" of the timeline, he felt he had to say something

the patch was on time though, it came at the end of the timeline, which is still "on time"



its the equivilent of people bitching bout a timeline of "Early 2013" not being delivered at midnight the morning of january first and him coming on saying sorry for that when there is nothing to apologize for

actually he did apologize when it was scheduled for release and then was delayed 2 days, so..... yea. also they had to remove item search buying sine there was a bug.

Don't expect more than the Gobbue and bug fixes in the coming sub patch.

With the news about the Chocobo armour there are now news for 1.21, too

Gotta Remember one thing... This is a Lettered patch ( not ment to have alot of content within it), and Patience is a virture, if people spent have the time they do on the game then on here, there wouldn't be all this.. WHERE IS MAH INFO!.. :/ but meh its whatever

it probly isnt

my guess is we are starting to get lodestone posts for 1.21 at this point, since we are 3 weeks out from it(at the far end of the timeline) now we should start seeing info every few days on it til its released

I believe it is just beginning to show content for 1.21, which is supposedly early February. Chocobo armor, or at least in their road map, is set for 1.21. I think 1.20b is just going to be Goobue, bug fixes, and a possible "small" adjustments to a few events.

my goobbue will hold me over til then anyway. I hope they add a couple GC quest or something in 1.20b, grinding GC leves is killing me. The little bit of seals ive been getting have gone to the control and gathering rings.

I bet the Gobbue is the only actual "content" in this patch. I expect nothing else but hotfixes and small changes.

The main thing is that now they can finally start releasing info on 1.21. Can't wait! =)

to expect nothing more is the best thing to do then you can only be surprised by more and not disappointed be less.

a/b patches arent really major patches so anything they add that isnt a bug fix is amazing at that

True, but the lettered patches are mainly there to fix stuff from the the main patches, so everything else that they add is merely a bonus.

yea, the goobue mount in 1.20b really surprised me too.

In an age of buying drinks either "medium" or "large," to them, anything up until "late" is "early". Seriously, do we not understand sizes? One must have a small and large to have a medium. A shop can't just skip small straight to a medium.... At least most places now call their "medium" a "regular"....

And I was also surprised about getting the mount in a lettered patch.

After reading patch notes today I gotta say im not normally one to complain but damn I wish I could change companys, every update makes me wish I had joined grid or uldah because im just not feelin this LL gear D:
