What did you name your chocobo?

When I saw my chocobo's default yellow color, my mind immediately thought of sunny and sunshine. Those sound boring, so I went with Soleil instead. My chocobo is now sunset orange, but the name still stuck.

Sharkeisha.

Sornin (meaning Sun-gold), after the heroine's warhorse in Robin McKinley's The Blue Sword. It's less appropriate now that he's green instead of yellow, and even less since most riding chocobos are apparently geldings rather than stallions, but changing the name of a living thing bothers me on a deep level that I can't quite shake even if the 'living thing' is only virtual.

Albert. Nothing fancy, just Albert.

My character's last name is Hikari, from japanese (光) meaning "light" and I main bard since day one (well, archer) so I named him "Light'arrow" and he's white.

Ruffles. Cause ruffled feathers.

I name my chocobo after my late dog...kiki it was still alive 4 years ago but now she not so I had this chocobo around to keep me company

I named mine Featherduster. Its what part of his plumage looks like.

I named her Yuuki since she is so brave fighting all those nasty monsters out there with me.

Sorry to revive such an old thread, but fsr, I've always named my chocobo Rudolf (if he's male; in FFVII, if my gold chocobo was female, she'd be named Goldie).

Named him Noishe.

First I changed his name every few weeks after german beer labels, but then I got him a japanese themed barding so I just named him Sake

Baron - after a awesome dog I had years ago.

I named him Bojangles after a fried chicken restaurant chain. It seemed kinda perfect actually.

On Keddera, I named mine Bolt.
Tifka's is named Kwih - although I think I may just change it to Wark

I named mine Sentaryuu. What I named it after isnt even spelt right, but I just never corrected it.

Names of my other characters' chocobos are Kuromatsu, Spartan, Supernatural, Suzaku, and Dr'pepper.

I re-named my Chocobo Aether from whatever his original boring name was. Cause I tried to dye him and he turned out blue, and magic is blue in my head even though I know lore-wise it isnt.

I feel like I replied to this topic once before somewhere. My chocobo has had a few names now. Originally I was derping around with his color completely on my own without the help of any calculators online, so I change his name based on what color his feathers were. Went through Plesioth, Basarios and Rathalos that way.

Now I named my choco (and all my alts chocos) after FFXIV S Ranks, and colored their feathers appropriately based on their names. I have chocos named: Nunyunuwi, Gamma, Laideronette, Bonnacon, Minhocao, Udumbara, Orghana, and Leucrotta.

on my main my chocobo name is belladonna and on my alt it name bunny

Mine is Xanthias. Was spelled Zanthias in 1.0, and I had meant to put a X and not a Z (I blooped and wasn't paying attention at the time) but was unable to change it until ARR. XD

I named mine Rukh because my character has an Arabian/Indian aesthetic and the Rukh is an Persian pronunciation for Roc, the Giant Mythical Bird. Much later I watched the Anime Magi and their word for "aether" or "life force" was Rukh, which took on the shape of white birds. It just so happened that my Chocobo was also White so it kind of solidified it for me.

My main's chocobo is named Ming.
I named my alt's chocobo Flaire.

Mercy. I was really into Overwatch when I named her and she was going to be my healer. I put her in the angel outfit too ^^

I named mine trump after Trump card but then [i]that[\i] happened so now shes Roulette. My lala was gambling themed at the time.

I named my noble steed Cheesecake.

I decided I like hunt trains. New to me as a returning player so I went all on healer with my Chocobo. I named her "Asa" norse and greek mythology of a healing god.
