So muscle and booty sliders..

While I personally never really saw much "issue" with the current character models (admittedly it has likely ALOT to do with my tendency to, at the best of my ability dress my characters in less revealing clothing for a multitude of reasons), and the focus on the butt specificly (yes I know muscle slider has also been mentioned but that did not spawn multiple pages of arguments) does have me ever so slightly concerned that maybe there's a ulterior motive at play. (not to imply that there is, ofcourse)

However!
I'd be lying if I said I think us getting more customization options is a bad thing.
The more ideal you can make your in game representation, the better, after all, and if those longing for things like a "booty slider" are willing to deal with things like stretched textures, and so on, and so on. Then frankly..... have at it as far as I'm concerned. Just dont expect me to actively help in getting this thing approved, especially since we'd in all likelyhood sacrifice development from other areas of the game ^^"

Even if it's just something people want to make ones own character look "hotter", I'd be a massive hypocrite if I took issue with it, since while not necessarely from a sexual perspective, I very much so made certain design choices in Sayo that I consider aestheticly pleasing.

I'd like to make my character look good in the clothes I picked out for her. I noted that my clothes even FIT funny because of my oddly shaped physique. Make the clothes fit, or fill me out to the clothes. Would be nice, not gamebreaking though.
Personally I like rounded body types. I should be able to choose this. If you like the way they are then cool, but your clothes fit funny too and I've seen the weird gap that the tops have for deleted butts.
More customization is awesome and as has been noted is maybe what a quarter of us are here for at this point = playing dress-up with our virtual people and enjoying being someone else for a while.

I dunno why y'all are so threatened by someone asking for a PARTICULAR point of customization. Maybe cause I never had a problem with being a particular shape that I didn't go out and deal with. I've never gotten cosmetic surgery and never will (barring accidents and burns) I'm not threatened by people asking for different faces?

who are you to say what's sexual and what's not? People will find EVERY PART OF THE BODY sexual. EVERY, SINGLE , PART. If you can see it on a naked (or sometimes not naked) body there is a TAG on a porn site for it. Someone dragged the "I want bare feet" thread into this territory and nothing good came of it. Enough of us want a particular customization to make a thread. This one is also about musculature, yet I don't see anyone whining that people without abs should not be shamed by a bunch of cut avvys.

As someone married to a male Roe I assure you it is of the utmost importance.

We've been asking for this for a while, so I hope we can get it eventually... The issue with the armor textures will be a pretty moot point for most of us, we already deal with a lot of hair clipping and kinda shoddy world textures and tesselation. The texture resolution is also pretty low on many armors.

On top of that, some of the metal plate armors like the Wootz fending body armor have a portion ON THE BUTT that moves and stretches arleady. Aesthetically, a more realistic rear end will be welcomed over how certain armors will be affected with a larger cushion. Perhaps many of the armors that cover a lot could even override the butt slider to avoid this issue (though that may also present many more bugs in the code to squash).

Unless there is some in engine issue as to why we can't expand the size of our rears, I don't really see a legitimate reason to not give us the option.

Butts and muscle sliders are part of a deep problem that this game has. The community wants more faces, the ability to mix certain features (think beards, Au Ra horns etc.), facial and chest hair, tattoo's and everytime when when we ask for these features, we get told that either the developers will have to work more to add these features or that something in the game (system memory something) is stopping them from adding those features. Still this is not stopping them from adding hairstyles, I wonder why?

I felt sad because of the state you peoples minds are in. It's not even making me mad, it's just really, really sad and I hope somewhere along the line you people will come to realise that behaviour like this is not acceptable outside forums.

No it's not cool to gang up on other people, no it's not cool to be hypocritical. I agree there. I don't know how you know each other but it seems like you might. Your friend should not feel threatened or persecuted. I support the OP's idea and every customization option I can get and will until I get bored of this game. This includes butts, faces, noses, waists, chests, feet, hair , eyes, clothes of all kinds and being NAKED (within ESRB rating) if I'd like to . If you don't like that , I get it. I'm a woman, who plays as a woman in game. I would like a bigger butt (and other assets) to match my own thank you! It's not all about sexualizing its about reality and how I want my character as a whole. Having body options rock.

The part that made us both uncomfortable is the attitude and demeanor of the original post and the following posts. Not the actual subject. What also bothers me is that our opinions on it about the subject itself is derailing, yet people posting about their own body shapes or their own gender isn't derailing at all, regardless of the aforementioned having absolutely nothing to do with the topic at all and is completely irrelevant.

Just to add to the topic, I don't believe that "wanting to look more like myself" has anything to do with this. If you would like to look more like yourself in this game you would ask for more advanced character customisation, and not just a butt slider. I really, really don't believe that's the actual reason behind some peoples wish for a butt slider.

On another note, it's extremely rich to say that someone who says they have anxiety is looking for attention yet posting about someones body insecurities isn't at all.

And yes, I may be derailing a bit but this is in response to responses to my original reply.

But.. I support this because I want my character to look a certain way. I have a character that looks like me to a degree, but I also have my main who is a Fantasy character. Unlike me in very many ways. If you play every game to try and make your character "you" it isn't all that.. role play-ey I'd say.Some people DO want that though, and second guessing them on a forum really isn't going to make them go "oh.. I guess you're right, I just want a hot *whatever* to ogle at". They actually want this to make a simulacrum of themselves. However even if they DID just want to make eye candy, male or female, they can. Sure it'll give them unrealistic expectations , that's on them. I don't particularly support this over any other customization thread I've tried to contribute too, I +1 them all in hopes that the trend is noticed.

Seems pretty straightforward to me. I see a thread where people care about the appearance of their Avatars. I see others coming in and trying to impose their beliefs onto others by adding in Drama and IRL Drama into the mix. Many people don't realize this but if you see something you don't agree with, there's this "X" button on the top right hand side of their browser. By clicking that button, it closes out the screen. It's so quick and easy then to hit "Reply With Quote" and typing out an essay on why they don't agree with what they saw. This wastes a lot of their precious time as suppose to the 2 seconds it takes to hit that "X" button.

Wanting to increase variety on body options is not demeaning...if anything it is embracing all body types. IRL we come in all shapes and sizes so including more than just the default is a step in the right direction imo. The petite option is still going to be there, some people just want the option to choose different sizes.

This is coming from someone who is pretty neutral on this too, I mean I am not going to quit if they don't change it and I am okay with my character as she is, but I may use more options if they added them.

I mean personally I think all races should have the muscle sliders and I would even suggest weight sliders for more varying body types even if the slider only changes the body slightly. I realize their engine probably isn't made for that so as they said stretching might be a problem so I don't know if they could ever do this, but it would be cool if they could eventually.

Muscle definition slider would be awesome. Want butt slider more though.

Miqote males should have more facial hair options, body hair options and muscle tone options...

I don't think anyone would be asking (over and over) for a butt/hip slider of sorts if it wasn't a consistent design choice to give most races really tight butts and small waistlines.

It ends up making most avatars triangular in build, and it stands out in some gear. Femroes have it the worst since everything about the race indicates they are thick and ripped, but the ladies have very little definition waist down.

Especially odd when the concept art made them look like they'd be built more similarly to the males.

As for Lalafell nonsensical bust slider, I really don't see the point of keeping it as it's so useless and a waste of server strain in it's current form.
Though, when I think of SE making Lala busts a thing, I think of Cherry from the band Studio Killers. She's built EXACTLY like Lalafells, but has breasts. Their music vids and art can be a little NSFW, even, but here is a safe example.

I understand for Lala's, it's the framing. They have this childlike innocence in their mannerisms, while Cherry is very much not, and since I was exposed to Cherry's design first, the whole deal with infantilizing Lalafells sort of went over my head. It feels like a limiting design choice when the game has no problem pushing adult themes.

Idk if it's me but I think NPC's get better treatment when it comes to design.
