spooky got a point here xD
even though he's not aware about the fact that all range dds got cutted very hard in mobility with their HW toolkits - so just forgive him for that : O

The idea that ranged would have less mechanics to worry about in this game becomes even more hilarious when you realize that the single mechanic in ff14 that ranged are completely uneffected by, point blank aoes, are the counterpart to donut aoes, which melee aren't affected by, and most enemies that have one also have the other.
What is " weenie hut jrs" :)
Never in my life did I think I'd ever get to see someone complaining about positional requirements, and their specific focus would be Dragoon of all things.
Here's a quick tip when having issues with tanks playing sprinkler with a boss: "can you stop spinning the boss, please".
Uhm, no? OP is claiming all jobs play the same at level 60 compared to how they play at level 50. Which isn't true. BRD, BLM, and SMN are completely different at level 60 compared to how they play at level 50, and OP has leveled none of these to 60. So they don't have the experience to say "All DPS jobs play the same regardless of level."
The more adequate comparison would be: "God, I hate playing healers because it's boring standing there hitting Cure/Benefic/Physick on a tank all the time, and doing nothing else," yet never having leveled a healer past level 15 or at all. And OP does have a point. Once the cap is raised to 70, I'm sure there will be a difference in playstyle compared to level 60. However, their point is being lost due to their over-exaggeration and lack of experience to justify any of their claims.
No one is invalidating the OP's opinion; they just don't have an informed opinion to begin with due to lack of experience. You can't form a solid opinion on something without experience. It's like the "I hate vegetables" argument. How do you know unless you try them?
And I'm sorry. I just can't with their comment about how people who "barely speak English" come to complain at them, yet their posts are littered with spelling errors, abbreviations (is it really that hard to use "easy" instead of "ez"), and poor grammar. That's all fine and dandy if you want to point fingers at those who you perceive to "barely speak English," but at least use proper spelling and grammar if you're going to do so. You just look ridiculous laughing at these people (who I don't even see in this thread) when your opening post uses the phrase "weenie hut jrs" or whatever crap that is. Even more ridiculous than you have made yourself to be already.
I also can't find a dps I'm happy with.
When can we expect to see the Megumin Explosion class? one button win button. please and thank you SE. What's this fire and Ice crap? Where's my explosion magic?
P.S: I'll settle for Explosion-jutsu.

All of these people that know so much trivia about the final fantasy franchise, but never boosted their SpongeBob trivia level...
Looks like all of those hours watching crappy cartoons with my son have finally paid off. /s
I also have issues with every dps job in this game (picked bard because it bugged me the least), but that is just because I dislike the overall combat system. It won't change. If I get too bothered by it, I'll go back to an action-combat mmo. OR go to a forum like this and start a combative thread. >_>
NOW THAT'S REAL COMBAT.
for a second i thought OP was bswpayton
thats a pretty depserate reach for a pisstake
y'all are so mad lol
make one comment about that time you forgot your poisons and every raging ranged dps player comes in here acting like you've said you run entire raid nights trick attacking the boss from the front getting hit with cleave and not realizing you didn't put poison on xDQuote:
You're better off channeling that energy into remembering to put on poisons once before the battle starts.
Well I haven't played Dragoon since Titan was current content. The issue I took with it was never that positionals existed (Monk was my primary DPS) but Dragoon was complete aids with combos breaking and not getting heavy thrust buff if position suddenly changed. Since then, the job has received many much needed changes and is a lot better now.
but man have you ever tried telling a tank in df what to do or actually tried doing good dps
they get all mad and everything like you just asked if you could smash the front end of their car for a music video and bang their wife and said you were going to do it anyway even though they said no
Dps is too hard/too easy... ranged is mobile and doesn't have to deal with the horrors of melee mechanics.... sorry but Zurvan would like to have a word with you.... or nidhogg.... or Bismarck even... if it's sooooooooo easy to play MCH or BRD then prove it... get one to 60 and let's see how godly you can be.... I mean a pro gamer like you should be top ranked with something so easy to play... tldr: put up or shut up
Also your use of a racial slur tells me that you should focus less on games and work on being a less shitty person
i got some of yall shook so bad you think i'm using racist language =x
even if i felt like it it'd just be something else when i did it lolQuote:

id do it and then youd say i did it with too high an item level of gear, or that i got carried, or that i'm not as good as whoever else and so forth
oh wow... you're really grasping at straws there
It may not be murder, but Delorean has definitely fallen off the deep edge with the racial slur.
Please for the love of the Twelve stop feeding this almost surely a troll and their thread. There's nothing more that could possibly come from this thread that could remotely be seen as constructive or hell, not hostile.
Let's just let this thread die.
I'm with the OP here. Throughout all of HW I struggled to find a class I wanted to play, because they become so homogenized and if you didn't like 1 mechanic of how a class played, too bad it was on most of them now.
When I went back to XI some time ago I massively struggled to figure out what to play because everything seemed so fun. When I came back to XIV I struggled to figure out what I wanted to play because everything seemed so the same with mechanics that just didn't flow well in combat and made it annoying to play.
> No flow in ffxiv combat
> Prefer ffxi

Someone posted in a thread saying that bard at 50 plays pretty much like bard at 60, instantly invalidating everything they have ever said now or in the future due to not knowing what the hell they are talking about. Minuet, Empyreal Arrow, Sidewinder and Iron Jaws become class staples at 60 that you don't even have prior to 50. Bards have basically double the mandatory use skills at 60 than they did at 50. Machinist is the same what with gauss barrel completely changing up how things are played to cap.
Ditto Dreadwyrm trance et al for SMN, ley lines and enochian for BLM (Not that I've ever played one).
Every single time I press Dreadwyrm trance it is 100% guaranteed that at that moment the boss is going to stop throwing shit at the leylined blm and start throwing shit at me, or two seconds later a melee dps is going to go "Eh fuck it lets mash the limit break now" and kick the boss into an invuln phase. Or I'm going to be the victim of droppy orbs in DS.
Summoner , nuff said :)
