No, we're not. Because the feature will most likely be used a lot less than you expect. And again, with the insults that prove why you deserve the bigoted comments back.

So now you're getting insulting because people dont like your idea? Good job!
I've posted suggestions before - some were liked, some were not, but I was always open to discuss them, get input and other point of views.
I dont see how getting their character back after deleting it twice would improve the lifes of some people. To delete your character you must have really strong reasons - addiction, stalkers, abuse, a depressive/emotional episode you name it. And while I truely feel sorry for people experience things like this, if it leads to them deleting their character more than once the real improvment for them might be to stay away from the game. I dont know everyones situation ofc, so I'm not really in a position to judge this, I know this, but if you need to get rid of the game so badly that you basically lock the door behind you and throw the key into the ocean, the real improvment in your life could be to stay away from the game.
If you delete your character twice, it might be impossible for the game to improve for you.
Why would it be? I cant imagine that this feature is frequented this often - after all SE will have the numbers on this and BOTH sides can only speculate, but most people leaving the game dont delete their character, so its not as if this would attract vets again (unlike the jump potion, possibly). If you want to get out of a serious issue (thats is SO bad you need to delete the character to get away) why would you want that character back anyways?
OP, if you don't like how people disagree with you, do yourself a favor and just stop posting. Just like how you believe you have the right to say whatever idea you want in hopes that the devs will listen, people also have the right to explain why your idea won't work. If you can't handle criticism, I dare wonder how you handle a superior at work or school criticizing your work.
I would agree but most would just make Erza a cat girl having no connection to the character any way. You can only see so many miss spellings of Sylvanas Windrunner miqote before you kinda give up on the idea of "character appreciation". Besides that, you can also be original... Never understood why people want to pretend to be iconic characters rather than make themselves the hero standing among icons...
Numerous reasons
- They can't think of any decent name themselves. As someone that has played a lot of mmo's in the last decade or so i have come up to some insane names all the way from "cheese" to "traffic light".
- They want to be that character rather then another blank slate. A lot of people see characters from this or other fiction and want to be that character and an mmo gives them the perfect chance to do that.
It's like we're talking to Cleverbot
Waste of resources and pointless I would rather they fix important things. If you want to delete your character more than once then more fool you. I left game for a year and a half took game off computer never touched it.
If you actually cared about the cost of it why would you delete it? Also you keep comparing to 11 which is silly, FFXI only allowed it once the player-base dropped as they probably had more room to back up. Also I can say for a fact it wasn't 3-4 years in, as a friend tried to come back two years after wow came out in 2004 and they couldn't restore their character.

* We cannot guarantee that the character you would like to reactivate can be restored.
* In the case that restorable character data does not exist, it will not be possible to reactive the character.
* Even if you are eligible for this service, there may be rare cases in which character reactivation is not possible.
I really don't think people in this thread understand what bigoted means....
Also, being a LALALA person is not having a discussion, OP. It's called willful ignorance. Blindly believing your idea is superior to a contrary argument despite severe discrepancies in logic and evidence, while repeating only the same few points, is not participating in discussion.
Edit: Also, you can edit posts to include additional thoughts instead of chain posting.
Also, if you want to be more credible, try addressing some of the points brought up with counterpoints. It might help. Might.
One of the your post stated that you did no such thing as deleting your character. And now another post of yours said, yes you did delete your character...
I think you should just calm down and think what you are trying to post here.
You really don't know how game data is handled, do you? Once deleted, data can be kept for a small time frame. After that, its scattered. MERELY impossible to restore after that.
To contribute:
If you think about deleting your character because you just want to escape an abusive group or relationship, you have far more problems than that.
Personal experience, I've been harassed and such. Been out of a bad relationship. Learn to cope in other methods than deleting your character for no reason.
How you derailed this thread to a jump potion thread is beyond me. Gather your words before posting.
And for the love of god, use the edit/quote function correctly.
I'm not sure that the Far Eastern dress and the jump potions are good analogs to your request regarding the Character Restore policy... Both of these items had already been designed and implemented into the game, it only required a few switches to make the dress available in our version, and will be just as simple when they add the jump potions too.
Asking for character restores to be unlimited would require more dedicated hardware that is not currently implemented. The cost for that hardware would be far higher than it was/will be to simply add something they've already created and designed to a separate version of the game. Hand-holding what few people who repeatedly delete their characters and then regret it (sorta sounds like repeating the same action while expecting a different result, to me) is unlikely to drive the kind of numbers to motivate them to make such a large investment. On top of that; whatever emotional reasoning people would have for deleting their character would become utterly pointless with such a change. You wouldn't be really deleting anything, you'd just be 'hiding' the character from the Character Select screen.
The jump potions don't rationalize investing in additional hardware to change the restore policy. Without the jump potions, the "repeat-deleters" that would come back if they could have their characters back, only for the data to be lost before they changed their mind, would not have returned anyway. The jump potions at least gives them an option, some of which will inevitably take the option, leading some to return to Eorzea where otherwise they would have not.
