FFXIV Server Suspension :Day 1:

painting the hause,cleaning and cutting grass and only half day gone...
and doing some home-work,
but everything good sooo far!

I've been helping my mother try to find her sister in Sendai. She lives in the Asahigaoka district, which is in the hilly western area. No phone contact, and the Red Cross doesn't have any info either. I'll keep trying though.

I knew this would happen. SE are not going to let one of their titles ruin the franchise this bad if they have the opportunity to improve it. Unless there were like 10 people playing. Combined XI and XIV im sure their is enough to sustain production on both eventually.

Take APB for example a GTAMMO game, everyone thought it'd be awesome and insane but it was shutdown after like 72 days even though it had more content and better reviews/scores than XIV and is completely different type of game (im sure everyones played GTA at some point) it still got the closure. (Ignore that its being brung back XD)

As bad as XIV launch was it'll carry on.

Nice straw man argument there. I do feel for the people in Japan. I even donated 200$ for relief efforts you ignorant f**k. I said they should keep the servers shut down to save money and not go bankrupt and use their team on other titles since apparently they do not have the resources to improve this game as it is in just about the same sorry state it was on release.

yes they did not force me to buy the game. They conned me and the other 570k people who bought this pos game who no longer sub. Con men go to prison, yet SE goes on making games.

I'm not just complaining about my 75$. I'm complaining about the 30 million MINIMUM, SE made off of this.

APB shut down primarily because it was very very very very horribly financially mismanaged, they were so in debt they had no chance of saving the game. :/

Edit: Well i mean they also released a crappy game but if you have enough of a cash buffer you can pull game out of the hole, kinda like what we're trying to do right now with xiv.

Finals week here at UCSB. I guess its good that the servers shut down? That way my Calculus and Physics classes have my full attention haha. Hmm On Thursday I get to go home for spring break without my computer! Wouldn't be playing ffxiv for 2 weeks anyways, so i guess the servers shutting down doesn't affect me much :) I Wish I could say the same for those people in Japan, Best wishes.

1.) So are you saying you've never bought a movie or game that you really didn't like before? I have. But I didn't spend month after month after month trolling the forums of that particular movie/game.

2.) This is an MMO and MMO's get continual updates and patches which means that even though you don't like it now, you could really like it in lets say....6 months time.


Because of these 2 reasons, the whole "I paid $ for this game" doesn't really hold much merit for continually trolling forums. IMO

Uhhhh.....Didn't it take FFXI alone almost 2 years of run-time just to break even? If you factor in the YEARS of development time for FFXIV and all these months of having servers up with no subscription fee revenue coming in, there is no telling how much money SE is in the hole with on this game.

Played four hours of CS1.6 and edited two videos I've been meaning to do. Tomorrow will be exploring C++ and seeing what I can make of it.

lol U payed 75$ and played like 6 months for free and maybe even more when server getin up again, so calm dawn and be quiet, or just leave ff14. This is just a start of the game, like in other mmo's. FF11 was the same at start and became realy good mmo.

Conned? Hardly lol. There was an open beta before the game came out, you could see the minimal state it was in. There was only so much that could have been fixed between OB and launch and that would be your fault for assuming so. You're just mad you bought a game you don't personally like.

The same goes for me when I bought Dead Space 2 Collector's Edition, with a preorder bonus, and not being able to redeem any of the bonuses because the developers failed to do proper Q&A on the networking systems for the EA Servers. -.-

Oh well, whoop de doo. Time for me to cook up some food, now.
