Feast (Light Party) and Boosting

I recently checked the rankings and saw the player I reported for having a wintrading PF show up on the top rankings. Did a follow-up and the GM replied with this:

Yeah every GM interaction and report on this has led me to conclude that the investigation process is a joke. My opinion of that won't change unless some serious magic is worked at the end of the season.

On an OP relevant matter though, the guys in question never made a single move since being called out. Be funny to see if that changes during the "black week."

Twilight Zone s3 eph 70- A Game of Pool. So much stress about rank and who stole someones granma's win ratio and climbed 3 ranks up the ladder then dropped 10, yadda yadda. At the end of the day you can be the emerald rank 1 healer and youll still get lovingly teabagged just as hard as that rank 349 guy lying beside you. So much adu about nothing....le sigh...

Besides the #1 of each data center I'm not sure anyone really cares about what place their in in the top 100 so long as they are in the top 100 really. After all #1 gets all the glory and no one remembers #2 let alone 3 through 100. Anyway seeing as you have made it no secret you like to taunt, kill, and brag you should know better than anyone that people care about the rank only so much in that they remain ranked in the top 100 so they can get the glamour to further fuel the bragging/ego/trolling attitudes that goes on in PVP. It's not like the gear has any other real purpose as its actually pretty ugly in terms of glamour gear.

Well, we worked hard to get a rating. It would be a shame and discouraging if some wintrader breaks that legit work.

SE has proven time and time again that all they produce is hot air. Nothing is going to change because they simply do not give the slightest fuck about it.

Doesn't look like Aether was hit aside from the OP incident. On the last night our team did run into six consecutive withdrawals (2 groups trying to sync queue) but that could have been folks trying to play each other.

Real shame other datacenters weren't so lucky though. We got SE'S answer, might as well close the issue for good.

Aether's been hit with boosters in solo queue, though...and it's stupidly obvious who they're boosting, even with the names blurred out.
People have run into them a few times and the same thing always happens. AST comes in, match starts, AST drops the match.

Pretty disappointing these guys never got removed from the leaderboard for a pretty clear-cut case of win-trading and boosting (+800 points in 1 day for that one guy >_>). Honestly the message I'm taking from this is it's ok to boost.

I used to play a lot with Domaru Damasu (on primal and aether), formerly known as "PK" before his account got banned on here lol... Anyways if you are reading this, I saw that you got boned from #1 to --> #2. Not sure if it was a booster person, but if it was I hope you get your helm man, that's pretty shitty, and SE should step up to the plate and take action against cheaters.

I missed the first season cuz I had to move and was without internet, but I'm able to participate in season 2, just hoping it is better than the first one. /carryon

I don't play much anymore but I thought I'd share something about ranked light party.

Unfortunately, light party can be exploited easily by anyone who is half decent. For example, Player A, B, C and D are all at 900 rating, and when they beat a much lower team, they all get the same rating gain of 1 point a win. Because of this, Player A can simply queue with 3 different players who have little to no rating, and since everyone gets the same amount of rating per win, he is awarded +20 points for beating the same low team. Even if Player A and B queue up with 2 lower players, they still obtain a pretty good amount of rating gain.

This was done across most of the Data Centers in ranked light party for the #1 spot, and just one of the reasons I stopped participating in PvP a long time ago. Can you really blame the player? Not sure, since it is SE's fault for implementing such a poor system. But it certainly made light party much less prestigious and a bad indicator of who the really good team players were.
