I was recognized on ANOTHER game from these forums.

Pretty ironic, but i use the same name in every game. It was in WoW where someone noticed me. I also frequent those forums.

I'm in a Void Ark run with Kekela Kela who recognized me. Yeah I'm in that run right now, tabbed out!
Had to get here before they could. Oh auto run has brought me to Cuchulainn, guess I should tab back!

I read them once in a while when I'm bored or I want to see people's opinions on things. Don't see any forumites in the game though.

It never happened to me...but it did to a friend, and let's just say it wasn't a nice thing to see, despite what he said was just a fair critic over the game, as it was essentially pre-HW and it was a concern of how the MSQ was quite a huge lock for new players. The backlash he received was so huge that he got harassed in-game (or so he says), he got perma-banned from the forums (or so he says), and despite all that he kept playing the game since he was a big lover of FFXI. Way to go...

On my behalf, thanks to that experience my friend had I used for an alt's icon for the longest time to avoid being recongnize...but now I don't care anymore: if someone gets me there because of my "blasphemic" posts I'll just blacklist and report them.
My patience is too little at this point.

Months after I quit the game and changed servers, people in DF recognize me from my AST post. It's weird.

I've only been recognized in game from the forums once, and that was because of the Eorzea's Next Top Model contest.

I've recognized a few people before. I've had one recognize me from posts here on my server, and I've gotten someone in DF who sometimes reads my blog.

I see King Canadane all the time in the Feast lately. :x

Coming into this thread late because I haven't had time to play or post much recently, but as usual, I do when time permits.

Several times i have run into people on my server who recognize me from the Forums. Sometimes they are folks who agree with many things I say even on topics such as Parsers, sometimes it's folks who disagree completely with me. But it's always a pleasant experience and a reminder that many more players read the forums than post to them.

So, thanks to all who read and remember the names/faces of those on the forum. I hope you feel like posting here yourself one day.

:D I totally posted about that in the DF thread after it happened! It was exciting pretending to be a tank (even though I was internally screaming in fear over the idea of losing aggro the whole time XD). It went a lot smoother than I expected, thank you for your amazing heals. :D I "eenie meenie minie moe"d (I may or may not have had to look up how to spell that) between you and the other healer for my commendation, but I don't remember which one of you two got it. ^.^"

You should have totally said something! :D I don't find it weird at all, I love meeting people from the forums! It's like being in a cross-server linkshell or club and finally being able to party together. :D

I've never had anyone call me out before. I have seen Selli a few times on Seal Rock, but she was on the opposing team, so I could only speak with Fell Cleaves. ;3

We had a Mael once who knew us and he kept waving at us, so we didn't kill him and he just tagged along with us, LOL. We ended up all dancing on a node at one point, it was pretty funny. His team was not impressed and he got vote kicked, though. XD

Pretty much almost the only person I actually recognise, but I don't converse, and have never called out~

I was recognized once which is the only time I am aware of but I don't personally recognize people from here because I have character names turned off in game due to how much clutter everyone's names on screen make, it only shows me people's names when in group with them, if in my friends list or if I select them. I probably come across as slightly rude not noticing who is around me because I don't see people's character names in general so I should probably turn names back on outside of raids/dungeons and such now as I have altered my HuD layout and should be less of a problem at this stage.
