I'm overall happy with how you all have handled the game so far HOWEVER, at the launch of 2.0 you had promised players that we would eventually implement a way for 3rd party UI mods, while the base line UI is fine as is, a lot of what other people are asking in this thread could be covered by the player base additionally it for better or worse would pave way for official DPS parsers which for endgame raiding groups is somewhat essential to evaluate effectiveness.

As we can enable enfeeblements on the target bar to be Justified Left (Priority) can we also get an option for Justified Left (Priority) for the focus target bar? We can only see a very limited amount of dots on the focus target at the moment and generally not all are our own. Please consider adding this feature so the player can keep track of their dots more effectively.

Can we please hide quests in the quest log?
it's great I can pick up to 5 to show, but often there are quests i'd like to hide. things that can take a long time for example anima fates can take weeks to get all 18 crystals so it'd be nice to hid e that quest until such time as I was ready to finish it. or content clears. where it can take several days to finally get a decent group to clear some new content for the first time.

could we possibly separate some buffs from the rest. or have a specific buff always be the left most one. or something similar.
there are occasions as a bard I lose track of straight shot because its icon is constantly moving positions in my buffs bar. so it'd be kinda nice to ensure it is always the left most buff in the list or seperated slightly like some debuffs are,

In bigger groups with a lot of debuff potential, your personal debuffs often disappear under the enemies health bar. That needs a Fix.
Sustaining your personal debuffs is a big point in DPS. I would encourage you to slightly scale up the size of the personal debuff icons under the enemies healthbar, that pleyes can keep better track of that.
Additionally shared debuffs for example slashing resistance reduction (Ninja and Warrior) should be always the first Icon under the encounter (depending on class). Maybe also make them share the same color set or something.
And now the big one: isn't it time to support 3rd party software aka Mod support. It was promised long time ago but we still wait for it. Especially tools like any kind of Dps meters, Latency trackers and UI modificators should be made possible.

Can you PLEASE add the option to hide the 1 and the + sign from the 1st hotbar and the pet hotbar? They're so annoying and don't even have any functionality, and even if you tell the client to hide them, they still show up defiantly! Please, allow for cleaner HUDs by letting us hide these wretched eyesores.

The /lfp command allows you to select which classes or jobs you want to LFP on, which will show those job icons with a border when someone sees your search info. For example,
/lfp ALC BLM AST
changes my search info to show that I'm looking for a party as an alchemist, a black mage, or an astrologian. Can we please extend the other status commands so that we can include class/job tags? For example
As a mentor who is ready to answer PLD, BLM or AST specific questions: /mentor PLD BLM AST
As someone seeking specific crafters to meld materia: /ltm ALC GSM LTW
As a general purpose way of telling everyone, "these are the jobs I want to play": /online BLM AST

PSO2 Collaboration Event
I noticed that PSO2 is having a Collaboration Event this Summer with FFXIV in their game. Is it possible FFXIV might also get one in return this Summer?

I would personally love it if we could get an option in character options to be able to restrict receiving tells from random anonymous players, except for specific sources such as friends list, free company, and linkshells. This would be great to have so players can avoid RMT spammers without sacrificing the tells altogether by turning on busy or just shutting it off completely. Also, I'd love to hear your design philosophy on UI design and what you guys have to consider when implementing features and new content.

Could we have a new UI window that will show up for a few seconds each time a new debuff is put upon us and explain the debuff ?
It will help understand what the debuff does during a fight without having to put the cursor over it.
And of course, being part of the UI, you could chose to hide that window if it bothers you.

Just a few options I would love:
1: Option to show target health numbers on the bar. Percentage is nice, but seeing 400/1000 is much more efficient as WHM.
2. Option to remove yourself from player finder, even temporarily. This would cut down on gil seller spam.
3. Set the marketboard to look for keywords when searching, currently I have to type the exact name to find the item. ex: Typing "cap" to find all items with "cap" in the name would be helpful.

Ishgard housing
With talks of more housing plots and wards being made available, i'd like to ask a question about possible Ishgard housing.
I know you feel like it could be done but i have to wonder if the future Ishgard housing will be open to Heavensward expansion only and locked to A Realm Reborn players or open to everyone.

Can we get a system message that tells us when a Free Company Airship Voyage completes?
I recently noticed how annoying it is not to have one, especially when we have one for Retainer Ventures. It really makes no sense to me for something so important. Perhaps I've just missed an existing option to show such a message.

Vikings
I know what your thinking, this guys name is Thor and hes asking for a viking. Lets be serious though in final fantasy 3 and several tactics i loved having the viking job. Just being able to mush your enemies with a large hammer was so satisfying. I know we have a warrior already (an argument often presented to me when i ask about this class.), but i simply am just not satisfied i would love it if we could just have a massive hulking tank of a class (lower DPS but Significantly higher health in the range of 30K+). It could have so many amazing possibilities as well. Large hammers. Fire based Attacks (Viking Pyre?) and Defense buffs. they would be a slow but heavy hitting class, like a physical Blm. cont'd..

Maybe a stance that doubles their GCD but also doubles their damage dealt and have massive oGCD hits with long recasts. I always thought a hammer tank would be sweet. Never thought of it being Viking, but whatever they could come up with would be cool. It could switch from hammers and maces. Blunt headed objects. Plus Monk has a blunt buff so this would complement well. The anti tower has a Viking mob, Maybe its foreshadowing something. i really hope we get this class it seems like it definitely possible and there is plenty of community to back the idea. come on devs show us a sign!!! I would kill to have my hammer throw ability from FF3 back. *cough* mjolnir throw *cough* like the dark night ranged jump, or dragonfire dive, but as a Viking and with a hammer and lightning aspected. oh that would be a beautiful sight to see

Ideas
Abilities:
Hammer Throw: Ranged singular attack increases enmity(similar to shield lob or tomahawk).*
Viking pyre/Thunder call: increases damage of fire/thunder* abilities for entire party by 15% for 10sec
Mjolnir: launches character to desired target; in Flight of the Valkyrie stance deals lightning AoE up to 10 yalms away for 250 potency*/Pyre of the Ancients stance same thing but instead of AoE, it DoTs target for 300 potency fire damage for 15 sec*
(Decided we alrdy had a lightning DoT so Lightning AoE damage and Fire DoT would be more fun.)*
Stances:
Ragnarok: Damage stance/thunder aspected, More DMG!, debuffed attack speed. Hits harder 450-600 potency but GCD is 2.5-3.0 sec maybe slower. (thinking of changing the stance names)*
Jotunn's Reckoning: Tanking stance/fire aspected, Major health increase, Major DMG decrease more so then Warriors, focusing more on Enimity control and DoTs then actual weapon DMG*

Would it be possible to introduce an optional feature that can be toggled on or off(default set to off) to each person's preference where a modest animation/visual effect appears above any Bard currently playing a song? In 72-man raids it can be quite tedious to try and find out if Requiem is being played by a non-party member and distracting to try and figure out when and if it has ended - let alone if another Bard has already picked up in their place.

May we have an option to hide debuffs applied to a target by non-party members, at least in raids?

Could we have a feature added where we may have multiple UI layouts for the same Job/Class? Maybe adding something like "Adjusted Soul Crystals" which is simply a variant of the same Job, only with an entirely fresh set of hotbars attributed to it. This would help tremendously with PvP players at the very least.

Can Ranged characters please have the ability to manually aim their Limit Break without being constrained to targeting something first and in addition have the AoE graphic displayed for them? Given that they have a more situationally-based and weaker Limit Break, this would be an enormous help to better plan, understand and utilise the maximum effectiveness of a given Limit Break in both PvE and PvP content.

This is a really big one for me..... can we please, please please have the eight character limit per server lifted? Currently, my subscription pays for up to 40 character slots which is incredibly generous, only I have no intention of really using most of those slots because I am at home on my server and have no desire to play other characters elsewhere. The only benefit to this setup is using them to create disposable characters to merely test appearances and voices on open servers before trying to create the finalised version on congested servers like Balmung.
There should be no drawback to a single player having more characters on the same server being that they can obviously only use one at a time. Though even if it comes down to paying a premium similar to having extra retainers, that would be better than nothing at all.

To elaborate a little on my reasoning, I enjoy the fact that players can play any and every class on one character and eliminate the need to maintain multiple characters. While I do not engage in it myself, I appreciate the convenience it offers to others. However, I am strongly driven by the aesthetic appeal that this game offers in every avenue. As such, I like having different personalities, styles and charismas attributed to the different classes that I do play. I like pursuing a particular design aesthetic across these different areas as opposed to being limited to just one, single character. Currently I have seven characters at end-game but must reserve my final slot for a potential, future race though I would very much like to create even more characters than I already have. I am an altaholic at heart and there's little I would love more than to be able to pursue that even further, given how much I love this game's character design.

It is nice that the chat logs are very easy to customize, and it is nice to be able to change the size of the window quickly and easily.
Please consider allowing users to change the size of the text entry box as well. It is fine for short messages, but not being able to adjust the height of it can make typing longer messages a real pain.

Right click name -> Report spam
This may be the single greatest thing WoW brought to MMOs. It doesn't clog up blacklists, and when it hits a certain number of players that report it mutes the person until a GM can look at it. If you're worried about player abuse, you can set the threshold really high, maybe 50 or even 100. It's quick, elegant, and gets the spammers out of the way of the average player.
Is there any chance we can get this ever? If not, please explain why not.

Is it possible to get another marker like the A,B and C markers? I think there's a lot of boss fights where a 4th marker would come in handy. I'm thinking about fights like Ratfinx Twinkledinx where you make use of all 4 cardinal directions.

Will we ever get the ability to edit our interface to the extent that you can do so in other games, such as World of Warcraft?
Will we ever get the ability to exclude buffs/debuffs on the party frames that we don't want to see?
Can you guys add HoT/debuff durations to the spell icons on the party frame window? It would be nice to be able to see when Regen is going to fall off without having to manually target someone.

Its really difficult to see if someone is talking to you if you aren't expecting it, or are preoccupied with something that is not the corner of your screen, is there any possibility of getting player speech bubbles like so many mmos and (npcs in this very game) have (for things like /s /p /fc, & maybe the /l1-8)? If screen clutter is an issue, why not have a toggle option in the display settings?
Really, things like emotes and the cool mouth flapping animation when you talk is wasted if you can't look at the player you're talking to!

I use quite a few macros and items and it's really annoying to use macros to change my hotbars for every situation.

As we'll be seeing new mentor icons, would it be possible to add a few new search info icons? Would you consider something like the symbol in 1.0 for selling via bazaar, with that feature returned?
