Do the Twelve grant blessings in form of powers ect to their followers? Like for example Thordan did with his Twelve Knights? Does this happen, or did it happen in the past?

Do you think we'll have more than 1 type of raid per patch that doesn't focus on one particular primal or an era unlike Bahamut, CT, Alexander, and Void Ark?
Simple QoL request. Don't close the PF settings when someone leaves the party. It's a huge inconvenience.
What was Sharlayan day to day life like?
Greetings, everyone!
Thanks for the large amount of questions we've received so far. I'm sure Koji is looking forward to them and is probably already thinking about answers to some of these!
As a reminder, this thread is only for questions related to the game localization (lore, quest-related text, naming of NPC/gear/monsters, etc.) and Koji himself! We won't be picking up questions from here that aren't related to the topic. I appreciate your cooperation!
Can we get a clear statement regarding the ancestry of the Au Ra race? A large part of the community are still confused whether or not they are dragons and when some are told that they aren't, the response is "the developers said they are", or "they said they were dragon-based but had to change the idea". If we can get a clear statement on what exactly the Dawn Father/Dusk Mother is, or just a statement clearing outlining whether or not auri are dragons, it would help cull a bit of the toxicity regarding this subject. Please and thank you! :D :D :D
AST Question here: What exactly do they read in the sky? We know there are the six in game cards which all correspond to constellations, that there's a dragon star, and that the sun, moon, and even (formerly) Dalamud were taken into consideration as well. But are there other planets in the solar system they can see too? Are there other major constellations or stars? Do the Twelve factor in at all, since they each have a month aspected to them?
Also, there was a brief thought expressed by Louisoix in one of the Calamity short stories that if the Twelve were to manifest in Eorzea they would drain the land of its aether. Does that mean they are no different than the primals? Why would Eorzeans worship beings with the exact same disposition as the beast tribe gods they abhor so much?
With Heavensward, we've learned there's lot more to the 'primals' than before. Are the Twelve any different from the Beast Tribe gods or are they closer to what the Ascians have been teaching people for so long?
Thordan and Shiva, even King Mog seem to be different primals than Ifrit, Titan, Garuda, Leviathan and Ramuh. Thordan and Shiva seem be controlled by Thordan and Iceheart. Primals such as Ifrit and Ravana seem to be sentient or sapient towards those whose desires and beliefs brought them to fruition. What contributes to these differences?
What criteria is there to get a seat on the Syndicate besides being obscenely, disgustingly rich? Do you have to be a citizen of Ul'Dah? How do you qualify as a citizen?
Just asking for a wealthy Omnicrafter friend who happens to look a lot like me >.>
Is there any lore behind the Esoteric Weapons, or were they just some old Junk Gerolt made several years ago? I ask because of both their use in the Anima questline (or rather, their models and names) and that the i200 ones are called Antiquated
How do you decide on the naming schemes when it comes to enemy attacks?
In the Aetherochemical Research facility there is some thing that appeared to be alove until we confront Lahabrea, petrified during the boss fight and gone by the Time Thordian is faced. I was wondering what that thing is specifically
Right now The Balance and Spear cards seems to have made their relationship to both respective members of the twelve apparent. as well as their own opposed elemental aspect compared to each other. I was wondering if the other cards have a similar theme, if they are only related to the Twelve by elemental affinity or if they were supposed to lean towards 1 member over the other.
In the Library there was mention of the Elements and their relationships. I'm wondering if this is a vestige of 1.0 Elemental system, as it seems to have nothing to do with the Spells BLM and WHM have access to or the aspects of the initial Primal trio
In the days leading up to Heavensward, I was very excited to learn that we going into Abalathia's Spine in the expansion knowing that Abalathia's Spine is home to the gigas. Some quest and FATE flavor text (can't remember which) mentioned that something unknown was causing scores of gigas to leave their home in the Abalathia's Spine and take residence in Coerthas/Mor Dhona. The cause of what drove the gigas away, and what their primal might be, has been a favorite discussion among my friends in my FC since the launch of A Realm Reborn.
Once in Heavensward, however, I was disappointed to find out that we simply were on the sky-islands above Abalathia's Spine rather than in the mountains themselves. I know you probably can't discuss our future interactions with them, so my question is if there's any interesting information you can share about the gigas? They've felt to be the most overlooked of the beast tribes we've interacted with so far and I would love to know more about them.
We know Duskwight are treated terribly in Gridania but what of other parts of Eorzea? Are they seen as just the bottom of the bottom or can they be treated as normal members of society?
Is there anything you can share abut the time before Allag's rise. Information of the first couple Astral/Umbral eras seems so scarce that I am forced to assume that they are actually prehistory rather then the beginning of history/civilization
Are there rituals and offerings left to the Twelve? If so, what sorts of things are left and could you give us a description of any of these rituals?
Can astrologians also perform readings of the arcana, tarot-style?
Are there Umbral/Astral aspects to the major arcana, or minor arcana below the Six?
Can you offer any other details on worship/religion surrounding the Twelve other than Halone and Nald'Thal?
We all know that there are 6 elliptical constellations (Balance, Bole, Ewer, Spire, Spear and Arrow) but I was wondering if there was more than those 6.
Could you PLEASE elaborate on the "alternative methods" used to become a White Mage? This was mentioned ages and ages ago but it hasn't been touched on since. Even noting that it's still on the way/being considered would be appreciated.
Can the Elementals (in the Black Shroud) distinguish between individuals? It's strongly suggested that they Greenwrath all over the place because they can't tell the people who caused the Greenwrath from the innocents who happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. So is it that they can't tell the difference or that they don't care?
I'm asking this because I heard they're supposed to be added in Mog Station. Do you have any info regarding the items and/or hairstyles from the Lightning event?
How does one become a Temple Knight in Ishgard?
You said in 3.2, we're coming to a conclusion of the Heavensward. Does that mean we might be progressing the MSQ story like we did in 2.5-2.55, or will it be different this time?
Are we gonna hear about Zodiark's and Ascians' history in future patches?
Can we have an option to make and customize our own minions?
Can Au Ra be native to Sharlayan? How did they get there? Was Sharlayan Astrology available in farther flung parts of the world (Othard/Doma)?
Will we ever see more crossbreeds between the races in the MSQ? (Example: Au Ra/Miqo - Lala/Anything)
Would Koji be willing to provide a family tree with the four High Houses of Ishgard, complete with bastards and their mothers, along with names and birth years? Partially because we don't have any names given for either Edmont's wife or Haurchefant's mother, and also because it can get slightly confusing differentiating between "son of House [x]" and "son of the house's current count"; for example, are Grinnaux and Archombadin brothers, even when they look nothing alike? (And if they are, why is it never brought up in the Scholasticate quests that we killed Archombadin's brother?)
Is there any update on the glamours for Summoner egis?
There's an old plot point mentioned in 1.0 by Erik;
Is this still canon, particularly the rather important part about there still being a living member of the Ala Mhigan royal family?Quote:
When the oppression became too much to bear, the people revolted and stormed the palace. The royal guard cast aside their vows and allowed the Ala Mhigans to pass. A noble revolt? For the best, no? False! It was the absence of leadership and solidarity in the wake of this chaos that prompted Garlemald to attack! In the end, Theodoric was lucid enough to judge suicide preferable to death at the hands of an angry mob. He ended his own life, and with it, his reign of ruin and his own bloodline. Or so it was thought at the time! But Theodred, a nephew to the king, was hidden by his mother in a remote temple of the Fist of Rhalgr which had survived the purges, and thus he escaped his uncle’s fury.
There used to be an in-universe rumor that Nanamo was fathered by one of Mistbeard’s pirates during a raid on the royal palace on the day of the then-Sultan’s wedding. In the level 30 Alchemist the raid itself is still canon, but is there any truth to the rumor about Nanamo really being half-pirate? Because that would cause a serious uproar if she weren't really blood-related to the House of Ul.
There's an old 1.0 quest entitled 'Of Archons and Muses' which mentions that Archons are the Twelve taking mortal form.
Seeing the modern-day Archons like Matoya, Y'shtola, Yda and Papalymo, Thancred, G'raha Tia, and Moenbryda, I'm almost certainly sure that they aren't gods and this information no longer applies. But one part of the quest is particularly interesting:Quote:
Tyago Moui: Caught wind of all this Archon talk yet? Some folk make them for the very incarnations of the Twelve, come to Eorzea. Old prophecies and wives' tales say they descend from their heavenly seat whenever disaster threatens Eorzea, see. Needless to say, many believe the Archons to have otherworldly powers─both of mind and body. According to the loremasters' books, there was an age of shadow and calamity some fifteen hundred-odd years ago, when a great flood drowned the world─the sixth Umbral Era, they called it. Believers say it was the twelve Archons what came to fight the darkness then.
The part about the 'clan of wicked sorcerers' is without doubt referring to the Ascians; did one of the past Archons turn traitor? And if so, why?Quote:
Tyago Moui: They say Ahldbhar was the mightiest of the twelve Archons. Rhalgr the Destroyer himself, taken form in Roegadyn flesh─a bloody mountain of a man, and a fearsome warrior, besides… You must've seen renderings of Rhalgr at some point─in paint or stone. Looks like a bag of angry muscles in a mage's robes, right? Aye, well, those are done in the likeness of Archon Ahldbhar. Ahldbhar fought relentlessly against a clan of wicked sorcerers that sought only to wreak havoc on the world through their dark powers. But then, something happened... Something that threw Ahldbhar into deep despair. And in the end, he turned and took up with the enemy, though none can say as to why.
And is any of this information nothing more than outdated lore from before Yoshi-P took the reins? Should it just be completely disregarded, and not to be taken as a hint of dark things to come?
Can you add Aymeric and Thancred's 3.15 hair and that high ponytail that guy from the Anima line has to the Aesthetician or make them mogstation cash shop hairstyles?
