Have anyone tried live support for psn yet?
I logged in my pc version fine, ofcourse it lags so its not as smooth as ps4, so tell me how come if our ISP did something to effect connection to this game how come we can play this game fine on pc?!!! its a psn issue and they missed up something, so many said its not the first time and not only middle east servers, sorry but their service is lousy, not worth the money we pay, so disappointing.

The reason we are "Unable to complete version check" on PS4 is because the data packets from FFXIV servers get lost before reaching us, which doesn't allow us to update or check our launcher version. This is because of either a firewall or some protocol that was recently put up at the IP address 195.229.4.71 which is a point between Etisalat's server and FFXIV's PS4 servers (along the route that we send/receive data). Maybe PC uses different servers and that's why PC still works. That's what I understood from the 2 square enix tech support agents who actually know what they're doing. So Etisalat has to either request for that IP address to take down the firewall, or re-route their network settings to bypass that IP address.
I am getting the "unable to perform version check" after I get into the launcher and put my id and password...I have been trying for 2 days now.
called Etisalat in hopes to explain this issue to them, refused to transfer me to a technician, and said I should reach any other technician outside of etisalat, what the hell? I kept telling him the problem is with YOUR company with YOUR connection not my ps4, terrible service, the only hope left is for EMIX manager to reply my e-mail, I've sent him a detailed one.

I also sent a detailed email to care@etisalat.ae asking them to make sure it reaches someone who has the authority/knowledge to deal with Etisalat server issues. I didn't think of contacting EMIX, that's a very good idea. I hope this issue is resolved within 1-2 days because it's getting ridiculous.
Sent an email to PlayStation Middle East as well in case they can help sort out this issue.. :(
I have this issue since 5 days Etisalat/UAE they have to pay for me í ½í¸¡
been trying to solve it sent messages to some people and still nothing, nothing good ever comes from etisalat.
I tried Etisalat live chat today...they have no idea what packet loss is, somebody send HEEEELP!!!
By the way, I'm having the same problem on PC. Went to a net cafe last night thinking I'd be able to login with no issues but didn't work out.
It's still the weekend, they haven't replied to our emails yet. We have to wait till tomorrow afternoon-ish to get a response.
will we able to see Eorzea again :'(
I feel like we here in the Middle East are at such a disadvantage when it comes to MMO's. So many games nowadays are region locked and of course we get the crappy end of the deal...
Anyways whatever the issue is, I really hope they do something about it soon.
yeah man i agree with u i hope this gets solved cuz i put way 2 much time in ffxiv to see it wasted cuz of crappy etisalat been playing since 2013 or sooner no probs till now.
we need to march down to etisalat all of us and cause a riot xD

no it works fine for me with the pc just the ps4 is the problem
confirmed! Etisalat have done something wrong, I just asked my friend to use his Du hotspot with his phone and I was able to connect!
My friend is having this issue. They bought the game on PC and had the exact issue on PC as well :/ However it works fine on her brothers laptop xD
I emailed PSN again (hoping it's the international one..) cause PSN Middle East didn't reply.
I am logged in PC right now, and it's the same net I use on ps4 so it's a ps4-etisalat issue.
I feel bad as a customer. For some reason we should not be the one finding solution or even tracking what was the problem in the first place. I dont know much about computer stuff and such ( thats why i dont own a PC ), so why not them the "professionals" do their thing? Its better if SE and Etisalat talk to each other to solve this, since we all dont know what is really happening. The problem is they are throwing the job to us consumers.

That's strange.. I'm curious how you and gtavaddict are able to play on PC.. but I don't even know what to ask you two lol.
Using your PC, can you go to this website http://lg.emix.net.ae/lg and under "Additional parameters" type in: 184.107.107.176 then submit.
And can you copy the first 10 lines that you see and paste them here? This is what I get:

Notice how in line 4 the trace gets cut off? Do you have that as well?

So I'm able to send/receive data to EU and JP servers but it's just the NA servers that are blocked off at the moment
@drakssus @gtavaddict, do you two use the North American FFXIV launcher on PS4, but the EU or JP launcher on PC?
And I'm not talking about the in-game data centre, I'm talking about the actual FFXIV launcher that you downloaded.
Im with Etisalat too and still having the same problem since January 25
I did that too shiro, the issue was closed the moment they confirmed that internet was working.... I spent 5 days doing almost everything. I even opened a new psn account and downloaded trial version as part of trouble shooting.
Having a technical issue with ISP is something normal, my concern is if they are aware of what the technical problem is and is it being addressed...
