1. No
2. Since 2.0 or 2.1, don't really remember which
3 No, since I had a break from MMOs before starting on FF. Played WoW and RO for a long time before that though.
1. Are you currently satisfied with FFXIV?
No.
2. How long have you been playing FFXIV?
Since 2.5, had 2 accounts due to Steam problems.
3. Did you leave any other MMO in order to play FFXIV, and if so, which?
No, I had a break from MMOs after Ragnarok Renewal and was playing console games before joining FFXIV. Played RO for a veeeery long time.
1. Losing interest (Lack of creativity and effort put into content is getting to me. Diadem and the new relic chain are my biggest examples.)
2. About 20 months
3.DCUO
Are you currently satisfied with FFXIV?
Not nessescarly so, not since after about 4 weeks of the release of 3.0
How long have you been playing FFXIV?
Since 2.1
Did you leave any other MMO in order to play FFXIV, and if so, which?
I "left" WoW due to their expansion (WoD) not interesting me. Funny enough, I actually purchased WoD and a month of gametime for me and my friend just to break the tedium from this game, and this was about a week and half before 3.15 came out.
1. Not really since 2.55.
2. Since early 2014.
3. I 'left' The Secret World for this, luckily it's a non-sub game so I can head back whenever I want, which is likely soon.
1. Yes and No (Things could be better but I still love the game and will continue to play)
2. Since December 2014
3. No this is my first, I'm a huge Final Fantasy fan though.
Are you currently satisfied with FFXIV?
Outside of the slow ass initial tome grinding just to get into harder dungeons to start the process again, yes, yes I am. I love my character and I really like the overall story.
How long have you been playing FFXIV?
Since August 2013 but I took a 7 month break 2 months after because my friends (who bought me the game) went back to WoW and I followed them.
Did you leave any other MMO in order to play FFXIV, and if so, which?
WoW (still subbed though and is my most played MMO), TERA (losing 1.3+ million gold on +15 enchant killed me), and Guild Wars 2 ($50 for a content patch and killing dungeons along with asking for more gemstore money for skins and mats, yeah, good job guys), but I also have 8 other MMOs under my belt since early 2000. I will be going back to WoW for Legion though as that expansion is doing everything I liked about FFXIV and improving it several times over.
1. More or less, like others, concerned for the future of the game / which direction it'll take
2. Beta and I 1.0 also (not sure if it was beta or not)
3. No but used to play RO as well as a few other MMOs here and there prior to FFXIV. This is basically what I plan now
1. Are you currently satisfied with FFXIV? Yes. There are some things that could be done better, but on the whole, I love this game. I don't get why everyone is so "doom-and-gloom" about it.
2. How long have you been playing FFXIV? A little over four months.
3. Did you leave any other MMO in order to play FFXIV, and if so, which? I didn't really leave it, but I used to play Aion a lot. I still play it, but most of my time is devoted to FFXIV.
1. No. Not even close.
2. Since closed beta of 1.0.
3. EVE online. Might go back. Already unsubbed, either way. GG SE.
1- Yes
2- Since 2.0 Beta
3- No
1.- Absolutely no.
2.- Since Beta of 2.0.
3.- No, i was jumping arround several MMO till XIV catched me.
1. Yes
2. ~4 years
3. No, I still play many other MMOs.
Are you currently satisfied with FFXIV? Enough to stay subbed but actively looking for something better.
How long have you been playing FFXIV? Played from Dreams of Ice to Heavensward and came back in 3.1.
Did you leave any other MMO in order to play FFXIV, and if so, which? No
1. No.
2. Since release, 2.0. (my forum join date was way later, and I guess it isn't game join date that they put up...)
3. No.
1) Yes, I am currently satisfied with FFXIV. :)
2) I started the 14 day free trial near the end of November, then went on Holiday....so roughly a month? Ish?
3) Yes and no. I played WoW since 2010 and was a regular on the forums, officer in a raid guild etc. Becomming more and more dissatisfied with WoW with the amount of wait between end of expac and new expac, and lack of content and such. I will be resubbing when Legion comes out (will stay subbed to FFXIV as well though) but a lot of my love for WoW is gone.
I wanted to play FFXIV because it was a final fantasy game more than because it was an MMO. I loved FFX and FFXII. Not so much FFXIII though and I keep meaning to play 7 but I may as well wait till the remake now.
No
Since 1.0
None.
1. No, i find myself more and more questioning the vision and direction of where this game is going. It seems like creativity wise they have run out of steam.
2. 1.2x ish era
3. White Knight Chronicles 2 (PS3)
1. Are you currently satisfied with FFXIV? No.....FFXIV is becoming dull (rehashed content) and old (nothing new or never changing). Heavensward was suppose to reach heavensward. Instead Heavensward started off in that direction but somewhere along the way the Allegan airship broke down and fell Hellsward.
2. How long have you been playing FFXIV? PS3 Beta
3. Did you leave any other MMO in order to play FFXIV, and if so, which? yes several and will be going back to some of them soon enough. (White Knight Chronicles 2, DCUO...ect)
1. Not completely, but I can't say I'm satisfied with current and worried about future content. Barely logging just for raid nights a couple of days a week.
2. 1 year and 9 months.
3. Sort of. Aion.
1. So-so, hope for a bit more innovation in future releases
2. Beginning of 2.0
3. No
I which SE would implement an in-game sort of survey system to get feedback so they would touch every gamer.
1. Not since Heavensward/cash shop was added.
2. Since Beta/or august 2013 and have always been subscribed.
3. Left DCUO/WoW.
1. no. I am not satisfied
2) since 1.0 legacy player
3) I've dabbled here and there with other games but final fantasy has been my first love, but this has been getting very dull
1. Somewhat but hoping 3.2 delivers
2. Since game launched on PS3
3. Left DCUO
1. No. Hoping for more inventive and innovative content that keeps me entertained rather than more of the same. 3.0 feels like 2.0 reskinned and I'd like some new concepts or new direction. Worried about future direction of the game being too lazily developed and rehashed. Getting bored.
2. 1.0 beta tester, legacy player, played straight from 1.0 beta until now.
3. Originally left WoW for XIV 1.0, during downtime between 1.0 and 2.0 I went back to WoW, then came back to XIV with ARR.
1: No. Combat sucks (sooooo boooooooooooooooring), so I tried to find joy in crafting, but the specialist system shit all over that too so I should probably unsub.
2: 3 months?
3: Kinda but not really. I was kinda flip-flopping between a couple at the time.
1. Are you currently satisfied with FFXIV?
2. How long have you been playing FFXIV?
3. Did you leave any other MMO in order to play FFXIV, and if so, which?
1. Nope
2. Fall 2013 to Winter 2014, somewhere in there
3. RaiderZ I guess, didn't really leave it. Devs just stopped updating that game so I slowly transitioned over.
1. Nope
2. 2.0 beta
3. White Knight chronicles and FFXI at least gear wasn't useless after 4 months there....
Not very satisfied . Developers don't seem to know their own content since the expansion dropped. Gear design has gotten lazier, Raids still not massive zones and limited to 4 separate instances of bosses and trash. Raid design is not great, Tank balance is in a terrible place, Bard was ruined with no thought towards the playerbase.
I'm staying subbed because I love his game, but i'm seriously questioning how long that sub should continue.
Since beta
Played lots of MMOs prior to FFXIV, FF takes up too much of my limited free time to play anything else these days though. Last MMO I played before FF was Elsword.
Yes i couldnt be any more happy with the game zero complains here
I started in 2.2 or something
I left Aion for this game
1. I am happy with the game
2. Since Beta
3. World of Warcraft
Are you currently satisfied with FFXIV? Yeah, for the most part. Things that I'm not happy with have already been listed by other players.
How long have you been playing FFXIV? About 10 months, give or take a week or two.
Did you leave any other MMO in order to play FFXIV, and if so, which? Is Destiny considered an MMO? If no, then, well, no...
1. No.
2. ~2.5 years(beta right after E3)
3. No. My first one.
1. Yes - sort of, hard to find statics in general. I have had 1 static, and it blew up while I was asleep one day. (and not because I was asleep)
2. since ARR launch
2. WoW, Runescape, Minecraft.(I had an awesome flying gym on a pixelmon sever!)
(and didn't pick up elderscrolls due to FFXIV)
^ I feel the same way. 'cept the MMO thing was an added bonus.
1. Yes and no. I still have things to do like leveling crafting and gathering which I am finding very enjoyable. But when you read on the forums how crafting is boring and tedious at endgame and see the lost potential to certain features like PvP, this makes you feel like SE is not listening to the community.
2. I have been playing since 2nd Beta Phase.
3. Left World of Warcraft
1. Are you currently satisfied with FFXIV? Yes, I am. Though some things may be disappointing the over all experience has been very positive.
How long have you been playing FFXIV? I've been playing since early access for the relaunch of FF 14. So, for about 2 years.
Did you leave any other MMO in order to play FFXIV, and if so, which? I've play various free to play MMOs such as: Perfect World International, MEGATEN imagine, and Guild Wars 2. And none of the have had any lasting appeal.

1. Partially. I'm very disgruntled with Phase 3 of the Relic Weapon, and I dislike that we are getting fewer dungeons with each update. I also think that 3.1's story did not satisfy in terms of gameplay, in that it did not require a trial or dungeon. The instance it required was simple but fun, but did not take much time to complete, leaving a rather disappointing overall experience. The greater story is still very interesting, but it's becoming harder and harder to justify certain nitnpicks with the game that are continually ignored.
2. Since day 1 of 1.0.
3. No, but I played XI before XIV.
