For all who didnt make it in the hairstyle contest lets post ours!

These two are mine... This game has a LOT of hairstyles with bangs, but they seem to hide eyebrows entirely and/or hang into the eyes of my character... But I like eyebrows! And I like curls! XD

And below is my male hairstyle, although after submitting it to the contest I wish I had done something simpler like a completely normal short crewcut (without any special shaved patterns/tattoos on it)... But now it's too late, lol!

I posted a preliminary petition thread in the general forums if anyone is interested.

All of these posted rejected entries really make me want to make a change to this whole contest. Everyone of you are amazing

Aeiea's, Nekome-sensei's and Mochii's designs should have definitely made the finals! I would like to see more male hair like Shippuu's and Xerevantes design,too.

Yeah I'm a little disappointed by how many of the male hairstyles that they picked look really similar to current hairstyles, or are just kind of generic. If some of those won I would not be able to discern them from a crowd...

This is the only male hairstyle submission I've seen so far that I would have any interest in, but it depends on how the artists handle transitioning it from concept to model.

yeahh I would have been fine with waiting a whole extra patch if it meant we got to choose which ones were the finalists. I'd even be fine with SE picking the final options.

I'm just really disappointed by the same-y look that a lot of the finalist styles have, especially the male styles. It feels like a lot of really unique hairstyles were tossed in the bin while some that might be easier to render ended up as finalists.

I know. From the live letter it was the best one i've had seen. i'd love this one or the other short hair people showed in this thread. I just want Short hair square enix. Stop giving us long hair :(

My entry didn't make the cut (no pun intended), but here it is anyway!
I just wanted short hair for Au Ri females that wasn't so poofy ^.^;

This was mine. Inspired by the classic tomboy/tough-girl haircuts popularized in 80's/90's manga (Go Nagai, Masamune Shirow, etc). Sidebangs + spikey bangs = <3

I feel like we just need more cute short haircuts in general >.<;
