Can we please have the ability to save our usernames/passwords inside the launcher in addition to having SMS verification to add a trusted device? I know we have authentication tokens but I hate having to enter token's passwords each time when Blizzard/NCSoft allow you to trust a device and typically not ask for those things again.
Please, please, please, please can you change AST cards/royal road buff so that weaker cards do not overwrite stronger cards.
For example: Expanded royal road buffs do not overwrite Enhanced royal road buff or even a standard card buff.
Before anyone posts that you dont have 2 AST in the same raid, this is nothing to do with alex or coil, there are still plenty of other 8 man content which this effects.
Hey everyone,
More quality-of-life adjustments are coming our way.
Planned for Patch 3.2
- Duty Finder/Party Finder improvements
It will be possible to check if there are any existing Party Finder groups within your World for the corresponding Duty Roulette, Dungeon, or Trial you are aiming to undertake when opening the Duty Finder. By using this feature, it will help match up players on the same World who have the same objectives.
- Materia Melding
If you have the necessary class and level for a materia meld, you will be able to perform the meld without switching classes, similar to how this is possible for repairing gear.
- Retainers
It will be possible to assign jobs for your retainers, which means you'll finally be able to have a dark knight retainer if you wish!
- Housing
Players will be able to preview furnishings as well as dyes before actually applying to them. Please note, however, that you will not be able to change the dye from furnishings which are destroyed upon removal at this time, so please use the preview feature to get a feel for the dye before placing them.
- Beast Tribe quest adjustments
It will be possible to obtain some Allagan tomestones when completing Vanu Vanu beast tribe quests.
- Venture Scrips
It will be possible to purchase Venture Scrips with Centurio Seals similar to how you can purchase them with Allied Seals.
Future possibilities
- Further beast tribe quest adjustments
A majority of players are currently choosing the beast tribe token as their reward for beast tribe quests instead of Venture Scrips. Therefore, we're considering to remove Venture Scrips from the available rewards so players can obtain the tokens easily and add Venture Scrips to the list of available items that you can purchase from the vendor using tokens instead.
- Anima Weapon Replicas
I'm sure some of you would like to obtain replicas for the completed stages of your Anima weapons, so we are currently considering to add this feature similar to Zodiac weapon replicas.
- Fishing
We'll be looking into whether it would be possible to retain the information on which fish you have released, so players can stop fishing to consume food items, or use Cordials to restore GP without having to go through the release process again. However, we can't make any promises that this will be implemented for sure.
Furthermore, we are looking to see if we can reduce the GP cost for the ability Chum, so players can use this ability more often.
Huzzah! As a SCH main with a lot of leftover healing gear, being forced to have a caster retainer was frustrating.
Being locked into a paint color for such furnishings sounds pretty bad, but it also sounds like a temporary issue. Then again, couldn't the whole issue be avoided if items being demolished upon removal was abolished altogether? What positive impact does that function have on the game that it's worth all the headaches it causes the players?
It's not a real issue because, as far as I know, none of those furnishings can be painted.
I think the only "benefit" of that system to begin with is that you can't trade them with FC members or people who share your house. Theoretically this keeps furnishings like that in demand, but in practice people don't buy that much furniture regularly as it is. Especially not stuff they can't ever put back into storage.
I still remember the taste of my tears as I destroyed a complete set of handcrafted Allagan furniture when I switched FCs... I've replaced some of it, but don't want to invest in furniture like that again if I can't use them to redecorate seasonally.
Please we, Fishers, need a Bait BOX! u__________________u
Baits + Fish = Inventory FULL!!!!
I agree with Anonymoose on this point. Items are already bound once placed, anyway. That's enough for maintaining continuous demand, without destroying them each time. The destruction, particularly of such expensive or hard to get items, ends up reducing instead of increasing demand, since few people will be willing to spend a significant amount of either gil or effort to obtain such temporary items.
Maybe it would work if it were the other way around, and the cheapest easiest items were the ones destroyed on removal. People might more readily accept those as being disposable items to just keep replacing every time they redecorate. If something is too expensive to just keep buying over and over again, though, then destroying it on removal doesn't create more demand. All it does is keep people from redecorating their houses, reducing demand for everything else they might want to put in its place.
(Apart from reminding us of this continuing problem, those look like some nice looking changes coming up, Zhexos. :))
Here's a QoL option I'd love to have added: Auto-sort inventory on open.
What this would do is, auto-sort your inventory every time it is open (either by the player, or by game for turn-ins and such). Right now, I do it compulsively every single time I open it, and sometimes during to keep everything tidy as I move things around.
This would apply to:
Player Inventory
Retainer Inventory
FC Chest (it's time to add auto-sort by tab to the FC chest!)
I understand that auto-sort is currently not implemented for FC chests because it is possible that certain players want to keep it arranged in a specific way. My solution to that would be to make auto-sorting the FC Chest to be a permission, so it will only be given to those who make that decision.
Hey Anonymoose,
We had mentioned that you would not be able to change the dye from furnishings which are destroyed on removal; however, this was an error on our end. You will be able to change the dyes from these furnishings as well as normal furnishings even after placing them. I've corrected the previous post to match this information.
Also, with this furnishing preview, players will be able preview furnishings that have already been placed, so you can preview different dyes before actually applying them to the furnishings.
Why is it when I'm inside the "Inn" at one of the four major Cities, I'm unable to use, convert, glamour, dye, use to craft, desynthesize, etc on items in my inventory? There is absolutely no reason why this behavior is currently present within the game.
Can we have cooldowns reset after a wipe in Alexander Savage?
That seems more like a lore (excuse) to mask an obvious technical limitation. The inns are probably on a separate instance server, so that's why a lot of functions are disabled. They sadly don't have the tech to enable all game functions regardless of where your character is.
It's the opposite, actually. The inn rooms were created to serve as an area where players used minimal bandwidth and sever cycles, ideal for logging in and out and using solo features which don't require a full networked instance. It's not so much that the servers are limited, but that those instances were built with specific constraints in mind.
They wouldn't have ever built a room with such constraints unless there were technical limitations you needed to work around, because the benefit would be minimal if the server performance was up to snuff. Which means they still have server issues, either with actual hardware or data center still not having the required performance or it's a manpower issue in making the necessary software changes to undo the restrictions. It's probably both.
I say again, PLEASE GIVE AN OPTION IN THE UI TO ONLY SHOW YOUR OWN FLOATING TEXT/DAMAGE!! I would be so happy with this as I'm sure so many others would be too
increase the map spawn rate. e.g less nodes to go to for a daily map
allow us to repair our gear while mounted
make free company buffs individual so each member can choose what buffs they want for a 24 hour duration. and make the wheel the level 3 fc buff for the whole free company. this way each member of a free company can choose what fc buff is more suitable for them for that day.
make spiritbond potion and durability potion not disappear after death
allow alchemists to craft cordials and hi cordials make it a specialist craft if you want
increase the amount of linkshells we can have 8 is not enough
make a board like the market board where you look for linkshells where you can see your servers most popular linkshells and send tells to the masters to join
increase the market board wishlist from 10 to 20
I'd heard that it was to ensure public areas remain populated by not having crafters hide away in a private inn room while crafting. It was a long time ago that I heard that, though, and now can't remember whether it was based on an actual statement from SE or just widespread assumptions by players. In either case, the later addition of personal housing kind of blew away that reasoning anyway, since many of us now do have another private area where we can craft.
If it, to any extent, was due to a desire to keep crafting (or at least a lot of it) in open public areas, then I wish they hadn't extended it to related actions like repairs, glamour, etc. If I try to put something in the armoire and get the error that I can't because it needs to be repaired first, it'd be nice to be able to just repair it then and there and then put it away. Or if I'm getting an item out to glamour my latest piece with it, I'd like to be able to pick up the glamour item from the armoire, glamour its appearance to my new item, then put the original away again. If we could do those kind of things within the Inn room, that would be a good improvement, even if we still need to leave to do actual crafting.
Is there a way to make it so when I'm accessing my retainer it doesn't pull all my items for sale off the market board? Sometimes I just want to grab some mats or a piece of gear to glamour. Maybe only pull them down when you access either of the "sell" options in the retainer menu.
Simple "have materials" toggle, that would filter my recipe list to only the items that I already have all the materials for. Favorites section should remain unaffected.
-Allow us to open and select bait at all times. Currently you can't open bait while mounted, and can't select different bait during a cast (changing bait during a cast should just affect next cast)
-Allow us to discard items from our inventory (fish, really), while casting
-Basically, stop giving us "can't do that" errors, and preemptively find ways to allow what we want to do!
