Sounds about right with how FFXI did it.

Ifrit, Shiva, Titan, Leviathan, Ramuh and Garuda were the easy fights. Fenrir was a whole different Ballpark, Diabolos wasn't as hard but his battlefield can screw you over big time (especially if you're hit with Nightmare and can't move off of the falling tiles), Odin's fight was the usual Odin deal, Alexander fight was easy. Bahamut V.2 was pretty damn challenging.

btw I'm guessing that massive explosion he used was Hellfire?

Pfft.. No LNC in this fight..

Looks great, can't wait to fight him! I don't really mind the delay myself, 5 days isn't that much. Just do something else if you can't bear the wait.

This is by far the best trailer so far. Makes strongholds and darkhold look like a joke.

That trailer...looked pretty damned epic. I want to do that fight now! I can't wait.

Five days isn't much of a delay at all, although I suppose that Ixal stronghold being pushed back is something more substantial, I can wait. Delays can be a little annoying, but games are almost always better for them, rather than rushing out incomplete or broken content.

the vid is a good watch, looks like some real effect has gone into it so alittle longer isnt so bad keep it up SE :)

I encourage delays by all means.. delay all you want SE, just bring in good exciting shiz.. that's all.. let us enjoy the game, that's all we ask for. The way i see it, the longer the delay, the better content we're getting. kinda like when they cookin in an authentic restaurant and takes a long time, you know the food is fresh. Keep it fresh baby. Copy Pasta, no thanks!

So this looks like it is going to be quite the fight. Can't wait to give it a go!

Actually if you look at the the bottom of the video really closely you'll notice that the archer, at least, was still rank 50.

The stats are probably just indicative of vitality, strength, mind, etc. actually having a substantial effect after the equipment and level system be revamped in 1.19.

yeah but, the fight seems interesting, seems like he warps around, glad that we need to be able to run around to avoid death.

The fight looks really dynamic, a friend has mentioned. And he's right. Shit looks really good. I've got one week to grind my main class to 50 I guess. I'm pretty excited for a boss that doesn't just stand in one place.

only problem i have is the fact there looks like theres alot of AOE damage flying around, im finding it hard to see the benefits of actually having a gladiator tank hehe.. i mean if everyones gonna get hit anyway...

it looks like the archers arent able to get out of harms way either- but only because they are trap'ed by the flames, i wonder if they actually did anything to balance the class's under normal circumstances.

This battle will be easily beaten. I already figured out the strat for it. 6 Archers, and 2 Cons. Simple, can we have some real challenging content SE? Maybe something that punishes Archer parties? (lol I'm joking half heartedly)

heh it makes me laugh because the people who complain the game is too easy are the ones who make archer parties.

finally, something WORTHY of the Final Fantasy name.

1. Come up, unleash hellfire, some enfire barfire buffs and leave or:

Someone didn't notice Ifrit ninja-jumping all over the place, or the AoE attack that hit everyone. Hmmmm.

And for those mumbling about storyline disjointed as hell; lowering of required rank for storyline quests never occurred to people? It happened for the earlier ones; most likely, we have to finish that particular storyline quest before we can participate in the Ifrit fight. Much like how, for the dungeons, we needed to complete two quests before we can enter.

I think everyone having mini Ifrits would kinda ruin the primals image since they are viewed as Gods and such to the beast tribes, what i think would be a nice idea would be ifrit recognizing ur strenght trought battle and lending you the power to summon some sort of fire minion or something "Ifrit's familiar" of sorts, they should make it a little diferent from ifrit's own image, just an idea ^_^

I've mentioned this before but we totally aren't getting a summoner job in this game. We are all summoners with the ability to summon the power of the primals. It's all there in lord errant. They just need to add more storyline until we get to the point where we actually get that power. It's all heading that way... And as for the reason for fighting ifrit, Tancred wants us to search for the paragon and so far our only contact for info on that is Ifrit himself. This isn't disjointed.

What was happening in FF11 with summons was that there were the Avatar Primes, like Ifrit Prime, or Leviathan Prime and Shiva Prime and once youve beaten them, they granted you the power to summon "images" of them with less strength etc etc.

those weapons look AWESOME!!! XD!!! and everyone wanting glowing weapons there you go... and it isn't obtrusive! Was hoping for maybe some armor peices too though... like a a ifrit helm... but maybe that is only half the hardmode loot and the armor's might be hidden for us to find out about!

but maybe you should keep how loot drops unknown until it is ingame?

I also agree with this, please dont make all the new high end gear light up. Make it exclusive to primal elementals? too many glowing weapons is bad and gets worse quick. AND PLEASE TELL ME THERE IS NOT ALSO GLOWING SHOULDER PADS ALREADY

If you go for over-the-top art style, then you should have over-the-top weapons.

This game is realistic, classy, and consistency would be nice. BUT HEY DEY LOOK AWSUM WOAH I hope they call them EPIX
