Top 10 Changes You Want To See

1. New weapon types. Bo stick, nun chucks, and Whips! < Yes, I'm a turtle and castlevania fan.
2. Tell chyme, don't feel right without.
3. Personal house and mail box, like many others want.
4. Quests that offer anima points in rewards.
5. The option to divide your path as quests progress in future updates, the option to support the Empire to crush rebel scum instead of the "Fight the Empire theme" used way to often in the many past games I played.
6. A way to evaluate your potential skill points on your current class rank when selecting the difficulty level on quests.
For example:
* 1200 skill points at current rank. 1600 with favor.
** 1500 skill points at current rank. 2000 with favor.
*** 2200 skill points at current rank. 2700 with favor.
7. An insanely high guild mark reward/s as a challenge to have something hard to work for that is rewarding when obtained.
8. Been hard to think of other things right now, so be a bit more random, NPC's around lakes that off small fishing boats for you to manually move around the lake to fish deeper in for fish you would not normally obtain if on the sides, can have boats that allow a few players on board for a fishing trip full of memory's.
To tired to think of 2 more things right now oh well.

If those six things are in the game I'll be set for next 9 years ;)

1. Barber, or anything to let us be able to change little details on our character, from hairstyle/haircolor to possible scars/ tail for miqo'tes/and other little things. We're playing one and one only character, with all the classes, we should be able to change it from time to time. Since the personnalisation menu does already exist, it should be easy to give us complete or partial acces to it somehow, no ? ; ;
2. Mail moogles, or anything to exchange mails, tbh.
3. End-game content but I'm sure it's gonna come a some point. *^^*
4. More cool looking gear, yes please. :)
5. PS3 release and I mean that I just hope they don't forget it, cause that's gonna bring a new player base, which is probably different to the people that play Wow and other PC MMOs, and this is good when this game definitely needs to show how different it is.
6. Mog house, chocobos, and all the things not implemented yet. :)
7. Better looking animations for spells, especially Raise/Resurect, and some others
8. New classes Bard please ; ;
9. New areas Ishgard please ; ;
10. Barber again I wanted the fluffier tail. >.< And I want to dye my hair.

I really liked the destroying Gridania thing. I mean, possibly implement this when Ishgard is open? And the Gridania residents have to relocate to Ishgard? So all the guilds and such moved to Ishgard, but then later on Gridania leaders finally get enough troops to retake their forrest and it grows back into a less annoying maze? but thats on the extreme of things.

1. Safety for our Japanese friends from this awful disaster.

2. More content, pve areas such as sky, dynamis, sea. (Not enough content for groups of friends)

3. Travelling options such as chocobos and air ships. (Lot of time wasted travelling if you don't have much time online)

4. Better linkshell options, the main one /lsmes, followed by the ability to carry out membership status commands such as promote, remove without standing next to the person. (/lsmes was such a helpful feature for arranging events in ffxi)

5. Food and equipment that seems to have an effect on your character and the ability to be able to mail/post items you craft to friends. (Not everyone can be online all the time and I'm sure a lot of people have the issue of carrying a lot of items they have made or saved until a friend is able to be online which makes the storage issue a lot worse)

6. Class, and race specific equipment and the inability to use it until you have reached the correct rank. (Same for all equipment)

7. Better graphics for ancient magic, and raise / resurrect spells. They are very dissapointing. (The damage of Ancient Magic is somewhat dissapointing.)

8. Elemental Weaknesses and Strengths, I'd like to see more resistance from casting a fire spell at a fire elemental and more damage from using a water spell against a fire elemental as an example.

9. Teleport and travel spells earnt from completing harder quests or missions.

10. The issue of your chat being reset while crafting is somewhat frustrating still, so I'd like to see that addressed as soon as possibly convienient.

1, Mail box system

2, Variety in weapons. Swords with Runes (allowing THM to wield blades, taking on a more in your face DD role)

3, Kick attacks on Pugilists

4, More content regarding lore/story/back story.

5, Housing to any extent (Mog House, instanced housing, create own house etc)

7, More ways to get around, Chocobo, Air ship,

8, Group game play encouraged, leaving Leves to act much like FoV in FF11, allowing causal plays a means to still enjoy the game

9, Scarier world, bring back the hidden monsters. Aggressive monsters, make people think before just running through the zones. bring back the feeling of adventuring. The size of monsters should directly show their Rank (small rodents, would be low rank, higher ranked would be slightly larger).

10, Increase the UI speed. let macros react faster for gear swaps. Action bar resets etc. drawing weapon for battle.

11, Draw inspiration from all the FF titles, FF14 reminds me a lot like FF6, can draw some mobs from that game, as well introduce monsters from other titles. bring the life back into the series with old names we are use to. Magitek armor, Espers, Summons etc. Doesn't mean take them all. just look back on what gave the Franchise the name and fan base it has today.

12, Add features that would allow future implementations: Jump, Swimming, Climbing. designed in a form that makes it unique to the FF series.

13, most important one, Never stray from the ideas the Final fantasy franchise is best known for. that is taking their own path and or direction on making their games.

And everything else everyone requested.

1. Mog House. A place to hang out with friends and decorate with furniture which also gives stuff for the crafters to do by creating furniture to sell.

2. Buffer class such as Bard.

3. More Quests and also more main storyline. The wait between main storyline missions is often very long.

4. Better spell and weapon skill animations. Compared to FFXI and newer MMOs such as TERA and Blade&Soul our current ones are just too bland and boring.

5. Fun mid-game and end-game events with unique gear rewards. Incentive for us to level and collect gear.

6. Player mounts and pets. Chocobos to ride around on and maybe have the ability to hatch and breed chocobos. Baby chocobos could be summoned in town and follow their owner.
Other mobs such as Cactuars, Marmots and Apkallu would also make nice pets. Pets usually do well in MMOs, the "gotta catch/collect em all" effect sets in.

7. Implementing more zones. Ul'dah, Gridania and Limsa have missing unimplemented areas. Open those up. Let us always access some of the zones that only open up during a main mission.
Open up new cities and expand the world, we are itching to explore more. :D

8. Hair Salon NPC. It was promised last year already then forgotten. Lalafell have less hair-styles than other races. Our missing ones are not implemented yet. Letting us change our hairstyle, hair-colour and other little details would be fun.

9. More side-quests, add SP rewards to the side-quests. Mobs seem to spawn fast enough anyway.

10. Class-based emotes such as FFXI got. Those were really nice. :)

My list of 10 improvements

1: Ninja

2: Thief

3: Bard

4: The class variety between DoW is minimal, it all feels the same.

5: More strategic combat, you shouldn't be able to get decent SP and beat a mob up with 10+ people. Instead, you should have to to rely on skill and party tactics to do it with a group of 5.

6: Weapon Skill chains and EXP chains for parties of appropriate #'s of people.

7: Filled in spaces! There's a ton of empty landscape they can throw more monsters into!

8: Ninja

9: Thief

10: Ba..r___ ah phooey, GIMME A NINJA! 1 handed Katanas please!

I don't think we're going to see any new jobs until an expansion comes out... sadly.

Also not in the order of priority:

#1) Being able to get back into the game quicker after undesired disconnect, program crash, or computer crash.

#2) Increased weapon availability such as 1H axes, maces, 2H swords, katanas, crossbows, etc. Would also like to see longer swords like the Iron Falchion at lower optimal ranks.

#3) More types of armor and clothing design. Possibly allowing for apparel to be equipped that governs our appearance, but does not affect stats (I.e. we found a really cool low rank armor set, but want to have the defense benefits of a less aesthetically pleasing higher rank armor set).

#4) Less obsfucation of game mechanics (I.e. food effects, effectiveness of Dex and Pie (pie is yummy), effectiveness of debuffs and buffs, etc.)

#5) Introduce cactuars later than rank 20 leves. Or introduce a less painful attack such as 100 Needles. Tried to duo a group of three and somehow all three of them got off 1000 Needles. Survival not guaranteed.

#6) Given the size of the maps/zones, perhaps new tunes in areas of other camps.

#7) Mouse friendlier interface, even though I'm using a gamepad, I would still like certain intuities to be implemented (right clicking a vendor to get to the buy/sell screen, right clicking an item to sell, right clicking on a name in the chat interface allowing us to party invite/linkshell invite/blacklist/tell, plus other uses of mouse driven interface.)

#8) Mail and delivery system. Support the ability to make transactions through mail as well.

#9) Why does my face affect my breast size? If this unintended, please update. If intentional, please separate.

#10) Can hyur females toggle whether their arms flail from side to side when running? I didn't feel like a Disciple of War who could be taken seriously when running like that.

Can't believe (Yes I can) I used my lasty two wants on that instead of content. Something must be wrong with me. (Runs away withOUT flailing arms, cause I'm a miqo'te nyow!)

i mentioned it already but it would be nice if at least one race had nice big boobies like the females in Blade and Soul.

Such specific changes ...

First they need to fix the basics of the game.

1) Balance the classes, make it more fun to play a certain class and make them more unique.
2) Add group based leveling.
3) New leves.
4) New story based quests. Not the current sidequests, those are really NPC given leves. Only difference is that you do not get EXP/SP and that you talk to a NPC instead of a crystal.
5) A better group searching function. Bring back the FFXI system if all other fails.
6) Simple command lines like /sea /shutdown
7) More story based missions (like the missions in FFXI or the main storyline quests in FFXIV).
8) Adjustable keys. I want to be able to use the damn arrow keys too .... no key should be locked!
9) When I mute sound, I want it to be mute .... including ambient sound.
10) The rest ....

So many things wrong that they need to fix before they even start thinking about adding more content. Content is easy to add, let them first fix the basics.

Do not get me wrong. I enjoy FFXIV and I will keep playing it, even when I have to pay. However, the only reason I can keep playing is because I trust Square Enix to be able to fix this game and make it a better game. Lots to do .....

Well said. I'm one hundred percent in favor.

Betting mine will be a little backwards compared to most people, but these are things I'd enjoy as a roleplayer.

1. Male Miqo'te as a playable race.
2. Housing.
3. More unique/Final Fantasy-like jobs with Artifact armor type gear.
4. A mail/delivery box system.
5. Chocobos + Airshps.
6. The ability to change cities. (Move to another.)
7. Things added to regions to make them look more unique. (glowing rocks, cabins, ruins.)
8. Giant NMs. Especially one that looks like a T-rex. lol.. (Kind of like those in FF-12)
9. More unique events. (Bells are fine for now, while the game's developing. I won't complain about that. We get free stuff. But in the future it would be nice to do mini quests or games to win items. :3)
10. Knowledge on what FFXIV foods do, and more recipes! :D

Honestly, there are waaaaaay too many people on here complaining about what they want to see in ff14, complaining about the servers being down during the disaster, etc... People need to get a life and realize that there are other things to do besides video games. Sure SE makes some truly mindblowing awesomeness (i.e. - FFXI), but there is more to life than that. I'd wager many people on these forums are like this guy...

I'm eager to have party system of FFXI again. But I don't want this to be FFXI-2 (it's safe to say that all mmorpg nowdays do not have a party system like FFXI). Anyways, my list is mostly about party system:



1) Improved search for party (Kinda like seeking party flag from FFXI maybe some changes.)

2) Increased stats effect from Bonus Point Allotment (For example: not when I put 1 on STR I get +0.21435355 to damage.)

3) Class uniqueness/Job (I want a real tank, a real healer, a real nuker, a real backstabber, a real buffer.)

4) More reward options from Guild class (like more traits, active skills, gears, potions/foods, or whatever! Just give us more customizations!)

5) Fix or remove the Battle regiment (Make it to a not confusing way to use.)

6) More gears/equipments options (For more customizations!)

7) Main storyline quests that need a party to finish (So we can use the search party system.)

8) Add house system (Where you can recieve mails, do gardening and grow vegetables/fruits (not crystals!), storage (retainers need to rest too!), hatch an egg (chocobo/pet), a lot more!)

9) More features of Linkshell (Like welcome messages, linkshell's skills, etc.)

10) Mounts (Give us a variety of mounts! Not just colored chocobos!)

My number one gripe right now? Fatigue. I spent a whole day trying to grind to LNC 40, from the very beginning of Rank 39. Guess what? YELLOW FATIGUE a mere 10k SP before I could get Rank 40. It's really infuriating.

This needs to be fixed. This is a bad example of Tanaka's legacy, and it needs to be terminated, immediately. Get rid of Fatigue. The base SP rewards for grinding up to 50 is enough of a treadmill to start with. Players have complained about fatigue since Alpha, and it still hasn't been removed.

Fatigue does NOTHING but discourage me from playing the game, making me want to LOG OUT. This is the OPPOSITE of what Square Enix wants with their products, I'm sure.

The way the Fatigue is designed, it's like it's saying implicitly to me, "Hello. Your allotted time for this class has expired. Please play something else, because we want to force you to conform to our expectations."

Edit: Also! I *know* that Square Enix plans on raising the level cap for the game, or adding new jobs. So if a level cap raise is in the works, that means fatigue will be even MORE painful and irritating to deal with...we don't want that.

1. Specialization classes as a pose to joint ones. (E.g Black mage/ White mage) so people are actually needed and everyone isnt the same.

2.Chocobo's/ Air ships etc. And remove teleportation system.

3.Side activity's like "Mini games","Betting on races" and such like to prevent the manotinous, constant level grinding. (FF7 I love you!!!!!!)

4.High end PVE content.

5.A system that implements party finding. Instead of shouting in major city's and camps.

6.Experiance given from leve's.

7.Stop the fatigue system completely stopping a class from gaining experiance.

8.More mobs on routes to higher leveled areas, to prevent low level players attempting to get there. Mainly for the behest's.

1.) Chocobos and airships (obviously) but also a type of chocobo breading and racing, however I want racing to be something much more involved than in XI, perhaps the characters can ride the chocobos and such. Also.. linkshell vs linkshell airship battles >:D
2.) Linkshell owned mog houses or airships
3.) Something fun to do on the boat!! Boat monsters and exclucive boat NMs.. maybe something similar to the pirates in XI as well, that was always exhilarating.
4.) Extremely difficult to obtain (or maybe rare/ex) gears from nms.. and not the nms that pop like 40 times a day, the ones that are once a day.
5.) “Long quests similar in story/difficulty to the CoP expansion in FFXI (The best quest series I've ever played in any game)” – quoted Killirz
6.) Only able to wear gear that is YOUR level or higher.
7.) More nms and ones for lower levels like leaping lizzy, tim tom tam, valkrum emperor in xi, etc. The lower levels like to kill nms and have some competition too!
8.) More zones, places to explore, the feeling that there are zones out there that you’ve never been too and the wonder and drive it gives you.
9.) a mailbox system to leave offline messages, I wouldn’t object to a delivery box but I don’t mind not having one personally.
10.) Partying system like xi.

1: Crowd Control more tactical battles
2: Balenced party play (Tanking)
3: Spells to do more damage on single target and less damage on AoE (like Final Fantasy IX)
4: Duel wielding Dagger Thief class (; ;)
5: A Bomb to be put in the market wards and set off... to make way for a auction house
6: Instanced PvE party 6-8 (not huge 15man party) content for levels 20 30 40 and 50
7: BCNM and Tokens for BCNM's
8: level restictions on Equipment
9: Advanced Classes (like Final Fantasy XI) to be obtained level 30+
10: Chocobos! Mountable and Customisable chocobo!

5. Simplified crafting (IE: Get rid of all these sleeves, fronts, backs, etc. needed to make armor)

6. Adjustment of mobs in Coerthas to make Botany safer (There's around 3 points that are death traps due to antelop being around them)

7. Quicker crafting animations

8. Revamp of all current zones

9. Grade 6 mining/botany nodes

10. Job specific Action/Trait/Ability setups instead of one being shared for every class

Well, how about this:

1. Would you still complain if they increased the surplus mark at the same time they increased the sp/exp gain? (which they didn't do)
2. Would you still complain if you could get those oh-so-delightful-sounding-but-nothing-else bonus points back somehow?

Honestly, I don't think the fatigue system is gonna be around much longer anyway. I think that was only in the game to slow people down before they get some real content in.

3. Cutscenes during side quests
4. No more bake-sale aggro signs
5. Black mages. Proper BLM gear and proper spells current ones aren't even worth keeping in the game.
6. No more leves. Seriously take out the aerythes so you realize that you need to design content properly.
7.Scenery needs a complete overhaul from scratch. This doesn't look like a FF title there's nothing interesting to look at in these BLAND landscapes.
8. Real FF jobs these classes are a joke.

10. All the crafting jobs are the same and crafting isn't a game it's an exercise in extreme patience with no control on the outcome. Put a GAME DESIGNER to design all of the crafting classes to be A) different and B) include their own miniGAMES to craft. See a horrible game called Free Realm for reference. Even that game does crafting better.
