I can agree with most of what you are saying, and I do love my alts and my main alike, but sadly, I'm not a real huge fan of how my Highlander was before I turned her back to a Midlander.

It's not anything about ugly or cute, but as you stated, the emotes as well as the overall style clash way too hard in comparison to Midlander, to the point that in my eyes my Highlander was far more stiff than my Female Roe.

The tallness of Female Elezen is not a huge problem for me, BUT it can be disorienting depending on the armor choices.

It's the same Elezen(used a Fantasia to change the type), but it's beginning to get hard for me to have her wear tank armor(or specifically WAR AF) because it looks like it'll fall of her.

And yeah, I'm still trying to figure out if changing her complexion would work better(I made her greyish, but PS3 lighting can make her become green in certain places) and I've know gotten to changing her look depending on what I'm wearing.

This is so true. I've met several people on my server who have been pressured. One was a duskwight elezen. She got trash talk from her FC for looking "weird", so she changed into miqo'te. I also had a miqo'te friend who wanted to do female roegadyn, so he changed to one and after two days he changed to elezen, because his raid team disliked the way he looked.

I feel so sorry for people who have to put up with crap like that. :/ I've been a roegadyn since beta, so people can't really get into my face for changing. But for those that actually get inspired by the less played races and want to try them, only to get scorn for it... That's just not cool.

I wouldn't mind more Roes =D

I do love my ears tho'.

I wish I could get rid of my tail. BTW I love the amount of topless Highlanders I've seen lately. Keep that trend up guys and I WILL award you with commendation for giving me eye candy =D

I was miqo'te in 1.0 but one thing I hated was those pointy heads gear. It would make them look ugly as hell since we couldn't hide them like in 2.0. Then 2.0 come I gave a try on highlander and I liked the result.

Idk why people say elezen are freakish and ugly, I find female elezen proportions wonderful and they can be really beautiful if in the hands of the right person (Unlike the people that throw ungodly amounts of make-up and tattoos on their characters ._.) I'm all for the plain look

Nope. HL is the master race even if no one knows it.

Before I changed to a Miqote, I was one of the rare Hellsguard Man Roes :p. However, when it came to Glamours, I found it extremely difficult to find decent looking armour that wasn't heavy or just made me look fat or the armour incredibly stretched. Going as a Mab cat has allowed me to look better when it comes to gear. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed my Roe but eventually got fed up with how I was looking in gear.

I would instant reroll femroe if they only looked more like the artwork.

I started out Femroe during the first PC beta and loved every bit of her. However, I went with male Miqo'te during the following ones since they were the other 'wasn't there before' option to pick from. Pretty much ran every beta since then with a maleqo'te. I especially liked the Keepers of the Moon as they seemed underrepresented by lore. I've tried other races before, but other than Maleqo'te and Femroe nothing seemed to feel right. So I'm probably going to stick with my male Miqo'te now, especially since they have the unnecessary catlike behaviour like their sitting and the claw-like way they hold their hands (seriously, how they don't cramp up, I don't know). It's odd, but I like it. The one thing that puts me off with the Au Ra is the enormous height difference between the males and the females.

I think roes and elezens look ugly. I know that's harsh, but when it comes to elezen's I'm a bit bitter. When I first saw them I was severely disappointed. Elves are suppose to be lithe and beautiful beings of the forest, but in this game they're just lanky half-giraffe's. Roes, well, I just don't like muscly men or women. They scare me.

It is all a matter of personal preference. for ME personally, the gap between Miqo'te and the other races in this game is very large. I won't go into all the reasons that I think the other races look like shit here, but to each their own, right? Whatever floats your boat!

I had a cute male elezen for my first character but my friends IRL said they wouldn't play with me if I didn't change my gender..buuutttt, after they all ditched me I went from cat girl to a catboy since they're just down right adorable.

His comment is the same for me, I play miqote, because out of all the races so far I like the way theirs looks and emotes the best. Lalas currently a close second. If Au Ra has good emotes though I'll swap probably.

When I originally played at launch, I was a femRoe, and often got compliments as being one of the best-looking characters on the server. Unfortunately, I got twice as many jabs and rude comments, and I felt like a catgirl personality suited me more, so I re-rolled over a year ago and never looked back. Their emotes, hair and face options, and appearance in a variety of specialty/glamour gear is superior to pretty much every other race in the game, IMHO.

I think female roe's and highlanders look alot better they actually look like a woman

Been a Miqo'te for about five years now. No plans on changing.

The only thing that bothers me about Miqo'te (as well as any other pointy eared race) are those danged earsocks when wearing full robes or headgear that covers the whole head. (I don't mind the ones that have ear holes though)

Have a bunch of different characters, like my Miqo'te the most. Was formally female hyur (midlander) on this, but the way they run and jump always annoyed me. Like some obsloete females suck at anything athletic sterotype. The Miqo'te just seems more fun, and a bit of a departue from what I usually play. Plus I get to use the teo R's in Terra, using proper Miqote naming, where without it, I could only be Tera.

Tried to change one of my alts to a lala, but my fantaisa dissappeared... maybe with my heavensward ce one.

Never really had an issue with cat girls until this game. Even in FFXI it never bothered me, with FFXIV however their sheer over abundance has soured my view of them. How many unoriginal misspelled/ butchered anime names can one player base come up with? I mean seriously you didn't spell the name right and you made them a cat girl... Really hope the addition of the new race balances at least the visual landscape a bit. Going to be very happy to be one of the few Highlander males without a bieber hair style left in Erozea.

From some poll I saw some months back, majority of the races swapping to Au Ra were Miqo'te. Honestly wasn't surprised.

You know why there's so many Miqo'te?

It's because they were found unworthy of being the proud race of the Lalafell by the Primal of the Lalafell herself; Memenu Menu.

I'm a huge stickler about animations. The way a race simply stands when idle to their unique motion animations such as emotes would determine which one i choose which in this case would be a male miqote since their idle stance is picture friendly to me. In ffxi the races had unique Auto attack animations, not one race held/swing the same weapon the same way as the next. A Mithra would hold a polearm as if she's going for the gut (think of how every race in ffxiv stances with a polearm, that was exclusively mithra in ffxi). However a elvann would hold a polearm with a very confident stance, he stands straight up, nonchalantly holds the polearm with both hands at his waist, he would then swing the polearm according to that race specific polearm stance. In ffxi i would rather be Elvann if i was going to main a drg almost exclusively on animations like that lol. But that's just me, can't speak for other cat users.

I don't regret it, lalafells are adorable (even creepy sometimes) :3
