It updated when I logged out of the game. Have you tried that? EDIT: Still no sign of my gold swimmie and therefore I haven't been able to DL my wallpaper. ; ;

On Figaro Lhei Mhakaracca (Owl's Nest NPC) is stuck in a rock in the tunnel. Had to go lead the bomb back practically solo until people caught on that we could do it ourselves and then run back to the NPC to get the ash.

I'm sitting in Owl's Nest. The NPC (Lhei something or other) just stands in the tunnel and spews her one-liners. Doesn't move, doesn't award ashes. I'm debating a run to Falcon's Nest..

I sort of mentioned this above, but it doesn't matter that she's stuck there. Just lead the bombs yourselves and then run back to her to get your ash. She still follows the schedule even though she's not moving.

I'm actually having fun time with this event! I'm so glad it wasn't another bell stand thing again...and I must say I look pretty awesome in my swimsuit. ;)

I still need the golden one... How am I ever going to get those last few bombard ashes in Coerthas? My level is not high enough to deal with the quest there :( I could try just moving the bombard onwards and healing him... Three times...

Was going to make a new thread but this seems like a good place.

Took me a little while to figure out how to get all the swimsuits (and about 50 anima lol) but I had a lot of fun with the event :) It's ridiculous, much more involved than all the others, and you got a few things to show for it. The wallpapers are an awesome touch.

So thank you SE. Good work! :)

edit~ as for coerthas... that was a bit tougher lol. I ended up having to stand there and shout "Bombard King" (Help me out!)" to get some higher level people to help out. So I suggest trying that. I'm pretty sure they can hear you from the hamlet if youre standing by the bombard king, so some of the people just waiting will come help if they know noones bringing him. Just give them time to run to you :)

There's time to the 29th so I'm not really worried about not having the king's ashes yet :) As long as I get 3 of them before the event is over I'll be happy! I'll try that anyway, I was surprised to find I was the only one around there, to be honest.

Me too. I got lucky with the first ash being delivered right when I got there, but the other two not so much. I tried doing it alone once and got killed by the 3 elementals lol. Luckily an archer raised me (lol), then I started shouting and had help within 10 minutes. :)

So I'm guessing the Coerthas portion of the event is the hardest? I like this event a lot. It's simple but not too easy mode and I think it's actually fun!

Thanks SE for not making us ring bells again as stated earlier and nice way to actually put thought into a story and decorating not just the NPC starter areas but the ships to and fron Ul'Dah as well! d(^.^)b

You could check out the market place for the black ashes...
Though they might cost a lot if there's any.

Yep! It's the hardest (but it's still not bad if you're with a couple other people). That was the first place I went for ash, right after the event started, because I figured it might be bad. There were a few of us there, and a couple high/max level characters, and we cooperated quite well. My highest class is a 20 Weaver so I guided the Bombard and they fought the elementals and protected me from the Dreadwolves and the brigands in the tunnel. I ended up with 12 pinches of black ash in an hour(ish).

It IS possible for low level characters to make the run to Owl's Nest. Just watch the Dreadwolves and cross the path on the farthest side from them, when you see one. If you've got 700+ HP, you can run through the tunnel and take two hits before you die, and that's usually all you take before you get to the end. Set your home point to Camp Glory, just in case you get KO'd!
