They gave ninja redmages death blossom from FFXI?

Lol, this guy has got a macro for Regen. Regen I am telling you!
Why, instead of asking SE to create more space, don't you get rid of your obviously useless macros.
Also: if you need macros to play the game for you I very much doubt square enix is going to even bother looking into this matter.
I can understand using macros for notifying people about the second set of Divebombs in T5, "loud" Provokes for tank swapping, or letting the rest of the party know it's okay to pick up orbs in Ramuh EX, but for any of your abilities be they GCD or not? And that many? I truly do not know what to make of this farce.
Why do you need to Macro every single attack? I can understand things that combo or burst, but there really is no point if it doesn't.
good news, macros dont/wont work "correctly" with mudras. the recast time on mudras is .5 seconds, and macros have an auto wait of 1 second. they really wont work for people that mash buttons too.
Good news indeed :-)
If people actually took the time to learn to play, they would realize that the manual mudra casting actually works really well with the ninja playstyle. With so many oGCD abilities, they play very fast. If you take the time to get accustomed to each skill as you acquire it while you're leveling instead of just blindly grinding to 50, you'll be so adept at using the skills that the mudras become second nature. It's actually very fluid.
Why don't you just put your skill rotation into a macro and keep repeating it after the rotation is over? I'm just going by your logic right here.
Agreed. However, in this ninja armageddon that we are dealing with, what I've been doing is working on my rotation while doing the boss FATEs. You can improve your skills just as much in FATEs as you can in dungeons, provided that you actually try to apply the techniques. Doesn't work nearly as well when you have 8 ninjas in the "kill 1000 enemies" FATEs, but for the the high-HP ones, it's just like fighting a dungeon boss.
Can't you just click on the name in the party list member instead if you are using mouse? Or using the up-down button to move on the party list if you are using controller? That way, it is more accurate instead of mouse over thingy. And that, my friend, saves you one space for more macro.... And you are welcomed by the way.
I definitely agree with that. They should create 10 tabs and include 100 macros in each of them.
I love macros and feel really limited.
You can make different macros depending on solo or team play.
I am not talking about Focus Target @-@.... You can still doing all that with your focus target on da bos.....
I tried a buffing macro and never liked it. I tried the other one and dropped heavy and straight out of them and left Misery and Bloodletter in that order. So in the end I'm just pushing that one button to trigger both. All my other macros are utility that will spew something into party as well.
I still manage to outdps a higher ilvl bard - not by much but still.
haven't used a single macro in this game... I can't imagine that you actually NEED all of those.. >.>
Macros in XI HELPED with DPS because they allowed for you to gear swap. It is also the only way to keybind abilities, so if you don't have an ability macroed you have to navigate the menus to trigger it. XIV puts all your abilities right in front of you in a clickable and bindable fashion and has no gear swapping. Even XI had the /wait limitations but you couldn't always manually trigger abilities that fast anyways due to long cast times or needing to jump to a different menu.
The downside is if you macro Assassinate to everything you can and will fire off an Assassinate at the wrong time; such as while the mob is casting a deadly AoE - you'll take that damage right to the face because you have no control over Assassinate...
Macros are good tools but they can't play for you...
I Smells a troll. lol
I don't understand why this thread is even a thing. You know how many macros I have on my ninja? ONE. It's a mouse over Goad macro that's legitimately the only macro I use. The only good macros in FFXIV are utility macros such as mouseovers for things like apocistatis, goad, and target of target macros for things like virus and eye for an eye. This game isn't FFXI stop using macros STOP SUCKING AT THE GAME!!!!
You can easily put similar actions in the same macro. For example the basic 3 GCD combo from each class could be in their own macro each. So for example:
/ac "Dragoon Combo #1" <t>
/ac "Ninja Combo #1" <t>
/ac "Monk Combo #1" <t>
The macro will fire off whatever macro is available as long as there is no wait in between them.
at level 30 when you become a ninja, you wont have mercys stroke, or miserys end...so what's the point...
This guy is trolling.
square enix give us another macro window
My reaction to this entire thread:

it's not there isn't enough Marcos, it's that you are using too many macros. I am willing to bet 70% of the macros you are using would be better off dumped.
also you only use 12 buttons on your gamepad? how lazy are you? and how bad of a player are you that you use so many macros? I use all 16 buttons and sometimes more. I also have all jobs to lv 110 and I only have maybe 15 macros and the ones I have are things like "swiftcast/res" for sch and whm. or to announce when I use certain skills.
Why do you guys need to use soo many macros ?
Kudos for having people still believe in this op :P
I did use some macro on SMN and SCH to co-ordinate what pet will do with me, tell whom I am rising, but for ninja umm... playing it till 44 now and so far have no idea what should be macro down
I like to stack my oGCD buffs into one macro, it's more of an issue with rogue/ninja before 45. Up til that point, it's a decent DEX boost and shuriken vs raging strikes/hawk's eye/mercy stroke/straight shot, so I stuck with rogue.
In the end I just have one macro with several attack boosts and one with several defense boosts shared across all jobs, most of them can't be used by the job and just error out.
this thread still going ....
You should not use macros at all for your attacks as dps unless of course you don't care about maxing your dps
You don't need macro's to play ninja. I use a controller (as i always have since beta 3) and i can play it just fine. Takes a bit of getting used to though.
