I didnt complain about the consumption learn to read the entire post.
I was complaining about the players... such as you saying everything is fine, when you dont even know for yourself.
If you do where is your proof?
1 full party wipe means 3-4 raise now do the MP cost, then see how much mana i have left, before i even get any mana back
some of the ppl i ressed have rushed into battle...im sure you figure out i have to heal at this point?
And my tranquility is on a cooldown, (oh ya conj cant use the THM's MP back special skill if you didnt freakin know this)
NBO...you go into Dzemael Dungeon first & then come back and not complain about the mana consumption or some freakin insane "Pick up Group" people wasting your mana on bullshit rushing methods that kills em.
Maybei should spell it out for you.... i complain about players not doing their jobs properly,
melee in first hand, then the odd mage going melee crazy. (im sure you never expericed this, but im sure you will)
Hmm, interesting. But what happens if I somehow die on a levequest I put a little too much strength into buffing?Quote:
[dev1102] Players can now designate any aetheryte or aetherial gate as their Return destination by selecting “Set home point” from the aetheryte menu.
WIN!Quote:
* While undertaking regional levequests and behests, the aetheryte where the quest was initiated will be temporarily set as a player’s home point. During instanced raids, players who use Return will be teleported to the raid area’s enterance.
I'm a mage and i feel mp cost quite appropriate, maybe a little less cost on tiers 3. some rest here and there, and i'm completely cool. Learn to manage complainers
(mp cost on melee classes is another thing)
i give up, no reason with a 0.ranked mage class player.
I rather have my Thunder II backfire on my pt at this point
How the hell did a discussion on patch 1.18a turn into a brutal Ether rape and murder scene?
I'm sure one day we'll get Hi-Ethers or even Mega-Ethers or maybe Elixirs, but until then... the best we have is Ether +3 for 80MP, deal with it.
*Dresses up like a cop*
Sonic... Laugh, is there a problem here?
You guys have been off topic for at least 5 pages.
no... i was on topic inside this thread
These patch notes were a nice surprise! Great stuff, especially the boost to pugilist, lancer, and marauder abilities, and the home point stuff.
Ether is fine, but Se could do Damnation and Radiance stronger. To waste 3 AP to equip a 1k TP skill which gives you only ~ 10 MP is a bigger joke than ether
Hi All,
This is a fantastic "mini-patch"! :) Usually the "a" "b" "c" patches have been pretty minor (with a random fix or two), but 1.18a really shows the development team is sympathetic to real problems players are facing; and they're trying to improve the game as fast as possible.
* Increasing Skill Points for Disciples of War & Magic for Guildleves.
* Awarding Shield SP for completing Leves now.
* Adjusting locations of Gathering Leves for Monsters (this is great).
* Buffing Up / Strengthening Marauder, Pugilist and Lancer Weaponskills to make them more viable in Raids.
* Cleaning up the Action Bar UI.
* You can set your Home Point (Return) at any Aetherial Gate of your choosing (and not lose it to doing Guildleves). :)
Some nice improvements / fixes. :)
Ah good. It seems we're gaining momentum.
Can't wait for next Monday!
hmm is the summer event included in this patch ?. there was no saying in that
<sarcasm>I can't wait to see my Roegadyn in a bathing suit...</sarcasm>
But oh well, I'll probably see Miqo'te's all the time, so let them come!
What about gladiator? Still feeling pidgeonholed as a tank/paladin. I remember reading this:
"Gladiators specialize in the handling of all manner of one–handed blades, from daggers to longswords, be they single– or double–edged, straight or curved. A defining characteristic of the guild is its emphasis on diverse combat tactics, training its members to bring their martial skills to bear in any situation.
As such, there are practitioners who marry sword with shield, seeking to defend their fellow companions. Others opt for an empty off hand, choosing instead to focus entirely on their sword arm. The gladiator’s proficiency with blades also extends to those hurled at range, such as throwing knives."
What ever happened to the bold part ey? I think gladiator attack potencies should be increased when there is no shield equipped.
Also with the patch, things look great. Cept I think they should have increased the potency of brandish/II as well. Or brandish instead of storm's path since path is a tanking ability, that now only mrd can use.
Home point!
And jokes about the actual emote aside, XIV has some of the best animators on staff I've ever seen. I'm really happy to see that they're given things to do, adding more fun "fluff" in the face of all this serious save the game work. Hey! Someone over at S.E., give your animation team a よくできました from me! *thinks she did that right*
That's not a bad idea, but would likely lead to even more pigeonholing, "looking for GLA, shieldless GLA need not apply."
Also, S-E's lore is sometimes at odds with how players end up using jobs/classes, the most famous example being Ninja in FFXI, who was billed as a DD/debuffer, and ended up being the go-to tank.
/pose?
Really?
Was one of the artists bored or something?
You're kidding right? The closest one could get to without messing with the physics of water is this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xPQ5Vy_5MP0 and I'm not even sure how many vertices we are talking about for it to look that insanely good. The whole point of an mmo is to keep it at a stable count. Asking for dynamic water physics ain't gonna happen in this game.
Back to the thread though, liking this patch!
And that means they they should completely abandon EVERYTHING that the game was about? Just because people voted for that doesnt mean everything that was written prior should be made invalid. Unless you want Conj to be made tanks, Gladiators to be made healers, and pugilists to to use jokes as a form of attack, Which would all be valid since all the rules will drasticly change right? While they're at it, Miqo'te can become a carnivorous race that rules over all the others, making them no more than mere food slaves.
JP side told dev/rep's to post patch notes earlier than actual patch day is probably why they put out the notes today lol
I think what's catching us off guard with this lettered patch is there is a fair amount of new content being released instead of some bug fixes or minor fixes that don't seem as important.
*added recipe for a red monocle
*a Gridanian npc is now wearing a red monocle and will use the /shocked expression when exclaiming the number of monsters reported in Toto-rak
*fixed a typo to the Tanaka tribute statue not yet implemented in the game
Had problems with this... teleported to deliver some local leve stuff and by mistake opened the camp menu up... and going /facepalm
This warp patch is very good indeed + it says during instance, leve it temporary sets it there so after finishing leve we still can use warp to get back home :D
