Unreasonable is someone expecting SE to reset the market wards because they lost their place. Unreasonable is refusing to make use of what's provided because it might mean you have to wait a little longer to sell something.

I thought Vedis made a fun game so I decided to try myself:

Most importantly, every single ward in Limsa and Gridania on Selbina have ample room. :)
Failed MW system fails. I honestly hope some players feel huge thrill of seeing a 3d model (once it loads up naturally) in the wards every time they show up. This must be a great moment to some people as they go through all this trouble to preserve it.
The rest of us would just like to buy stuff from a working economy.
AH please.
Also is there any way to see what you just sold and for how much since I can't possibly remember everything I put up?
Also is there an AH?
Yeah, enough with this nonsense retainers. Give us an auction house, so we don't have to walk all over wards looking for various multiple items. SE took a system that would have taken most people 5 minutes to buy, and required us to spend 15 minutes or more buying many items.
It's freaking retarded, and to make it worse, there are idiots that defend it still to this day.....
To be fair. . .
We don't need an AH as such, with bidding and the like. They could link the cities, do away with the physical wards, and have everyone buy straight from the search interface while charging the seller a flat 5% tax. Problem solved, and with (probably) less coding involved.
How is that what you just described not an AH? AH in XI works exactly the same way. In some cases like in Jeuno there's not even a physical counter from which you can open the AH menu just an NPC. But because XIV NPCs load a LOT slower than in XI I'd be happy if there's just the current menu and no NPC that you need to see before accessing the buying menu.
This is maybe OT but those counters at Hamlets look exactly like XI AH counters...
I honestly dont doubt that we'll see somethign closer to an auction house in the future. (near future if we're lucky) However, for the time being, to expect the SE to fix what is ENTIRELY a community issue is ridiculous. Yes there are plenty of issues with the wards, but nothing is game breaking in and of itself. The major issue here is that many many players operate just like the OP of this thread. They refuse to believe that they should move from uldah, thus uldah remains the optimal place to sell most items. And now your uldahn wards are full and "it's all SE's fault." When in reality, the problem falls on the shoulders of your servers community.
I personally like the idea of retainers, but full wards and running around all over is totally annoying. So here's an idea that keeps retainers, but gets rid of the runaround and disappointment of full wards:
Scrap the wards.
Add a counter.
Add ability to summon retainers from the counter for buying/repairing//selling/storing. (Instead of a simple "buy" feature, you summon the retainer that has the goods you want. Remember that the whole point of MW was so that you could view everything that the retainer had on sale.)
Add a repair search system. (Categorize: DM Grade> Craft Class)
Add ability to "dispatch" retainers to non-physical wards for tax breaks.
So what you're saying is if my native city is Ul'dah, I'm a goldsmith, miner, pugilist (where all 3 of my guilds are incidentally) and all the wards are full I shouldn't expect to sell anything unless I'm willing to burn through all my anima? I'm sorry but if this game ever wants to move forward it has to make a way to sell wares readily available at all times. If it's going to be these broken retainer wards then fine, I'll keep a retainer in LL, just give me an airship to hop on so I can keep one stocked and running. Not that I like a 30 minute turn around of my play time to try and sell things, at least it's a start.
The reality is SE's successor of a an MMO hasn't improved, it has taken a step back as far as selling crafted/farmed items, and yes, it is their fault.
