This is really a not so smart suggestion I have ever heard. Go play Archer and Paladin and equip Heal and try it yourself. Your opponent must be a dummy if they let you successfuly cast a Heal without spell interruption.

you are playing against 8 healers ?, you are not going to kill them and they are not going to kill you, if they kill you it's just because you hardly suck.
Go as 8 in the circle, bump them out and sleep them if you can, get the flag and def it by staying into it, you win...
And to be honest, if you focus the same target with 5-6 dps you will kill one of them. Use CC, use burst like full swing and kill them all...
it's like blm doing sleep + LB combo, it's "OP", deal with it :/
With all this talk of "Just deal with it. It's unfair but so what. Nothing can be done blah blah", I want them to give us SMN(and SCH) back full access to our abilities. Let's see how many people keep this same attitude lol
In my eyes, it isn't a problem facing 4 healers. Just yesterday, I fought against 3 WHM's/2SCH's who were in our OP. With only myself (SMN), a DRG, and a MRD, we were able to kill them off 1 by 1. And yes, they had 3 Med 2's up at once while using their pvp skills. DPS's just need to learn how to maximize their damage and use their skills properly. Most people complaining in-game about it usually just suck and do under 30k dps >_>
Maybe they were terrible at healing.
There is no way to take them down 1 by 1 with only 3 dps. Maybe you could pop up all your buff and burst 1 of them but if healers know what to do it's impossible.
No, as I've stated, all 3 Med 2's from the 3 WHM's were up. One SCH seemed to be spamming succor/adlo for galv(which prevents interruptions while it's still up). And I noticed they were all using their PvP skills. Don't get me wrong, this took a while to kill. Somewhere between 2-3 minutes. Which is a lot of time wasted. But I think a key part of this working depends on what DPS's are there. As a SMN, I can at least place 4 dots on all of them at a time while focusing on max damage bursting one of them down. To me, it seems impossible to do without at least 1 SMN.
Don't get me wrong. I do agree having 4+ healers is challenging and a bit overpowered when it comes to a PvP system where holding down a spot for points is key to winning, but it's not impossible.
Honestly, the healers must not have known what they were doing unless you beat them using a limit + enkindle combo... Just looking at the 3 WHM if they keep 2-3 medica IIs up and also use regens (they should be!) that more than negates your dots and in one tick will surpass the damage you put into them using fester as healing. The SCH bring fairy heals and 6 lustrates every minute and with that combo you can CC at most 3-4 of them at once... I don't care what your burst is like, if a healer is there to watch it freely and there are 3+ HoTs on your target they aren't dying without limit.
They had regen up as well. And no, no limit breaks were used in the case I'm referring to. Once people get better at maximizing dps, there shouldn't be a problem with 3-4 healers. There's been many cases where I've faced off against 3-4 healers and have gotten both positive and negative results. Mostly just depends on the make-up of the team. By myself, it's obviously impossible. But with a group of people that knows how to use their dps's properly, it's totally possible. You can say it's not as many times as you like, but it really doesn't bother me.
What are you, 10? Every GC has the ability to queue with a group of healers, it's luck of the draw. That's how it's intended to work. If you don't like it, queue for Wolves' den, the more "Fair" PvP...
Its weird. I find the better stack is 2 healers 6 blms. If you get a group with 6 coordinated blms they will have 6 healers down in a few GCDs. If you can't stack blms which is so much win. Monks and Paladins need to each take a healer and have everyone burst from healer to healer. The interrupt rate when you have a monk or paladin on you is huge.
The real problems I see is 1) Learning curve for non stack groups is bigger. 2) more coordination from PUGs make people unhappy.
I had a good day today 12 wins and 2 losses. No group had more then 3 healers. Skilled Black Mages are God's of Destruction. Will there be a nerf probably. This much whining usally equals one. But it is not the be all end all strategy. If they required you could only change jobs in the starting area that might lower some of the complaints.
Actually arena is quite balanced assuming both sides have equal morale...I've had intense matches vs such teams and I miss those times because no one ques for it anymore :(
Edit: Sleep used to be a bit insane if you didn't use resist materia for it, but other than that it was very well balanced.
