the 4th one literally makes no sense, like how do u come up with the numbers. are you givi my numbers to letters based on which alphabet they are (I.e a=1 b=2 etc)

German Riddle 4 // R+T = Sonnenstein-Armreif

on riddle 4 I've tried Sunstone earrings, nothing happen tried malachite rings and bracelet nothing...this shit is pissing me off and for what they give you its more trouble then it's worth

so frustrated! i bought a sun stone ring, i talked to the guy that gave me the list, i equipped it.

and the little "you've done the thing" symbol is on my freaking map but all Hart says is something patronizing about "I may not be the most educated man, but even *I* know arithmetic uses numbers not letters"

Do I need 2 rings or just the one???/

As in the quest, Memerugu said that the questgiver complained about that elezen's attitude. That was my little clue :) the questgiver already used ++-, so you just need to go backwards (to win the battle)^^
Z+1 = A

You only need one, and you need to have it equipped while talking to the Message, not the NPC.

my second clue was etag flow etihw Isouda knows the truth, backwards... the white wolf gate, spoke to isouda and been on both sides of the gate... nothing??

I spent a while on this one, too. I don't want to give you too much info, but I can tell you that what you are looking for is on the Gridania side of the gate. Keep looking around, it's there. ^^

If SWORD+SWORD=DAGGER then bring me S of R... which according to the formula and stuff based on the first page of this thread should be Fluorite Ring.. but when I wear it and talk to the statue it does nothing... So I'm lost.

Hi on puzzle 4 it says you first have to talk to seseroga and get dialogue but all he sais to me is "This winebaud gave a list to the master of the markets? Twas not I mayhap he meant my counterpart in gradania or limsa"

What do I have to do from here?

I need hell with /huh in bluefog, what exactly am I looking for? I looked up and saw no red lights

There's an NPC in each city state that introduced you to the markets back in the beginning of the game, so find them in the city state that you started in.

Solution: Thaum + aturg = Meteor

First you must have done the math correct, then you have Letters according to the List given from NPC

Sword + Sword = dAgger
78321 + 78321 = 156642

Now you need to look where is S and A in the Text
"S"word + "S"word = d"A"gger
"7"8321 + "7"8321 = 1"5"6642

In that case S = 7 and A = 5
Now look at your list and which item you get when combinating those 2 listed:

1 = Pearl
2 = Fluorite
3 = Malachite
4 = Choker
5 = Sunstone
6 = Earrings
7 = Ring
8 = Bracelet

You will need 7 = Ring and 5 = Sunstone, that make the item: Sunstone Ring

Updated guide with number combinations. There appear to be 9 sets of the riddles (as I have 9 combinations for both riddle 2 and 3, and 8 for riddle 4 atm. Not sure if there are more combinations for riddle 1 as no one seems to have posted them

I also mentioned that the market NPC for riddle 4 might be linked to your home nation.

Ohh, I get it now. I feel dumb for not getting something that simple. I've gotten this far on hints only but this one got me a bit confused lol.

As I said in my post (Back on page 10) You need to go to the city you started in. If you started the game as ether Maruader or Arcanist that's Limsa Lominsa, Archer, Lancer and Conjurer start in Gridania. Go to the one you started in.

I can not, for the life of me, figure out what Eshtaime's Aesthetics in Ul'dah has to do with Isouda in God's grip. I am so damn confused :S

I have no idea what I'm doing....
