Carbuncle for Summoners!

thingys is putting it nice lol.. Garuda the green bat-bird.. ifrit the floating torso.. and titan a big floating rock poo. If they aren't going to give us the beautiful carbuncle.. they should at least make Garuda look less bat-like, give ifrit some legs and titan..well look less like a glowing poo

If they give you carbuncle I bet they will take away his details. Have you seen the ramuh summon? Wow my jaw dropped that they're going with that look lol.

you're probably right, they'll give us an emaciated carbuncle ... or something. I have not seen ramuh /fear..............

I hit my post limit yesterday sorry. Just do a google search for the egi and it'll pop. I don't think they like when we post that stuff since a post in lore got nuked.

It's actually a bit better than Garuda and Titan, probably about on par with Ifrit in terms of detail. Would definitely prefer it to look more like the ramuh primal concept art though.

A GOOD Summoner knows when Ifrit is OP and when its not. There is nothing wrong with Ifrits DPS. If you are parseing low, then its you. Garuda has some advantages being ranged, but by no means is she superior to any one of them. Really tired of all these post saying Ifrit is inferior when hes just isnt. I say learn how to play your job and learn how to switch summons mid fight. Then you might understand what a SMN is truly capable of in the realm of FFXIV

Anything is better than looking at the Garuda Egi. I wish it were an option, even some sort of "glamour"

Cant you just unequip the job stone? Or are there skills you would lose in the process?

You lose Fester, Spur, Enkindle, etc as well as the stat boost from having a job crystal. Carbuncles are also weaker than their SMN counterparts.

So yes you could just run as an Arcanist but you would be less effective.

You'd also lose Summon 3 (Ifrit) and Tri-Disaster (lol).

But the stat changes for both you and your pets would also be huge, and losing Fester is a big deal. There's just no way an Arcanist can match a Summoner's damage output.
