Geez louise!!! The optimism and entitlement of the general player base of this game is so damn high and bloated , it could of kept that Boeing 777 in the air indefinitely. Okay back to reality. They are free items. If people were expecting a free relic or some ilvlX item...not happening. Heck after I got my 180 days reward, I looked at them and haven't popped them since, I prefer Demon Brick and Magitek armor.

Oh and I hope you'll done your homework and researched the rank 5 rewards, because if you're looking to have a specific one. You'll better have your allegiance straight before the rewards drop.

Its special enough. The extremely vocal minority may not like it, but its far from trash. As someone saving up Gil I welcome the free 50 Teleports as well as possible chance for more in the future. My brother can hardly keep a single gil to his name and has had to take loans from me up to 5 times now. Its a great item for casual players, and honestly the negative view on it is greatly exaggerated.

50s better than 1 at least.
And far more balanced than "free forever".

Still, I think they should keep these rewards aesthetic from now on.

Should be same as One-time password bonus.

So for $11 you can get free Teleports forever. That's a heck of a lot easier / cheaper to obtain then subscribing for 12 months. If Security token users are getting this I don't see why a one year subscription shouldn't get this either.

You get 1 free teleport destination so long as your security token password is set for that as the bonus. If you change it you lose the teleport. If you cancel the token, you lose the teleport. If you lose the token, cause its a physical item and is bound to be lost, you have to buy another one to reset your second home teleport.

The Security token is a second home teleport. Not necessarily better than the tickets as you have to use and maintain the security token. If you are bad at keeping extra items on hand, then you essentially waste more money as you already have to pay the 15/month and an additional 11 for the token. You end up costing more by the time you get to your 1 year anniversary.

They are both nice, but I can see them discontinuing the Token at some point in the future. The Second home teleport is a marketing scheme simply to get people to buy the add-on security token.

Don't even know if these will work with party teleports. You could still end up paying when you party teleport around despite having the free teleport items or having the second home teleport being selected for the group teleport.

Sounds similar to the secondary return thing from 1.X. A little Pay 2 win-y for my liking but at least it's a relatively small thing. assuming that you have to actually activate the chosen atherite by touching it, same way one does a return.

Does no one realize the Odin minion for one year? One of the icons of FF. I'm pretty were that's the special thing Yoshi was talking about, not the teleporting thing. Although it'd be nice to have another free teleport like password instead of the 50 tickets.

Also, its for having one time password tied to your account, not having the physical token. You can also have the virtual one. So person saying you gotta not lose the token, if you lose your cellphone you're pretty much an idiot.

I love how earlier in this thread I was the ridiculous one suggesting it was a one time item. Here we are days later and now we know it's exactly what I said it would be and we get multiple tickets. Eat your heart out people. Don't read more into it than the text on the item blatantly suggested and you'll end up correct more often than not. Assumptions are bad.

To be honest, I don't like the idea...

So far the veteran rewards didn't have any importance in the game, only changing some graphical things nobody cares much about, such as minions, mounts... But this one of the teleportation fees 0% directly interacts with a mechanic of the game, the gil currency....

I don't think a clarification is needed as @mattalos is in fact Bayohne... But yeah after 1 year that is a little lame but 50 tickets used equals about 25k gil saved at max.

Doing just one dungeon will makes me get more Gil than I spend the day for the few teleports I do, cannot understand why someone calls a 0 Gil tele a game breaker. It surely helps you reduce the Gil draining, but don't make you rich, you still have to earn the Gil, making activities.

Don't think everyone will login just for the fun of tele as crazy all around the game.

Going by your logic, any game is pay to win because you need to buy the machine that runs it. Okay.
They do offer a completely free alternative, you can't really blame them for making the game (a bit) pay2win.

The machine required to run this game is a computer or a PS3/4 console and an internet connection. Everything else is supplementary.
But I do see what you mean. The service is free to those that have the means and they provide a relatively cheap alternative to those that do not have those means.
I suppose I'm more upset with myself for being stuck with this piece of garbage.

Didn't you know? Only millionaires can afford smartphones.

There was a thread made around launch with instructions on how to make the app work on a computer so if a smartphone or physical token is that much of a financial impossibility, there's your alternative.

You assumed something as well, your assumption just happened to be the correct one.

If it was a free teleport for as long as I play, I would be more inclined to sink the 180 day subscription in just to receive these rewards faster. As it is I am only on my first month of paid sub so I still have 5 more months before I could do this. But I would've considered speeding the process along just get this item ASAP, I love to teleport lol.

Note. I read the text literally as it was written. When this item was in your inventory and you ported the item would be consumed and the teleport would be free. It was very clear about that. Not one assumption made.

Is a 360 days reward, is supposed to mean something, even if the odin minion is cool and all, but the 50 tickets... Is not that they are worthless... But they are in fact, not special at all, that is not the reward people subscribing for 1 year deserve, is just that simple.

Is not about if its a gifts or if its free, is SE way to remind us they are happy with us being their customers. A conmemorative dress, a cool hat, another behemonth level mount (idk, an Aiatar dragon as a mount?) anything would be perfect, even another fantasia or a nickname change service, but... 50 free teleport tickets? well, i guess i will sell them on the MB for 50k, bet someone will buy it.

If it was as clear as you say, I find it hard to believe that there would be this much confusion. If you had been wrong, you would have said it was poor translation- but since you were right, you find it easy to claim this is all people reading too far into it.

Sure. I was the one who read a lot into it beyond the words right in front of me. I mistakenly allowed my hopes and dreams about what it could have meant to confuse me and make me doubt the clear words in front of me. Right. That was me and not everyone else on the thread. -_- I called it up front dude. It's not my fault everyone else was confused. This was a terrible reward when it was initially announced and everyone tried to justify it was something more because it seemed so bad. It's was a terrible reward then, and its still a terrible reward.

Personally Odin minion is special enough for me. The 50 tellys are just a nice extra but I suppose I'm easy to please. Since I'm enjoying the game one way or another

i pay a sub to access the game, yes. but i maintain a constant sub because i want these rewards, i'd be fine going without playing a month before a new patch since i go through most of the content before the next patch is released. i would argue it's not a "gift horse" as square enix is incentivising an uninterrupted subscription on my part with the promise of these rewards. so you'll have to excuse me if you believe me entitled when i say the aetheryte tickets suck. acquiring teleport gil is not a problem, just do your dailies and you have a decent number of teleports a day with a little bit left over.

wind up odin is beautiful though i only wish the companion reward was any where near its level.

To confirm what many of you have read only through Twitter, the 360-day Veteran Reward will grant users fifty (50) consumable Aetheryte Tickets and is optionally used as an item within one's inventory bag when teleporting.
